Is there a difference between the street tripple 660 vs 660 s in regards to the intake restriction and the tuning capacity? Because from what I've heard, the 660 has 74 bore x 51.1 stroke with a 12.85:1 comp ratio , where the 660 s has 76 bore x 48.5 stroke and 12:1 comp. Aside from the cylinder changes I just wonder what else could be different. Thanks!
wtf 660 with less than 50 stock? whats the reason? license type legislation? emissions? is it just to be 660 for people buy it as a 660 so they can say 660 ? I mean mt-03 has 42,0 PS horses out of half the hp. fourth less torque or something. (edit: oh at motor vs wheels i suppose, but still)
Licence legislation. To be a LAMS Learner approved motorcycle scheme bike. Must be less than 660cc and under 48hp from memory. Figures may be inaccurate, but that's the essence of it. CC is irrelevant my W800 only makes 48hp.
Love your work mate, so awesome you throw this info up for free.
Hi Dave, I was replacing the twist grip on my S 660 - because some blithering idiot decided to put electronic throttles in motorcycles

Could you adapt that throttle body to the trident 660 that just come with one? Wondering almost same power of trident reflashed
@@abrahamherrerasaad2652 probably but it wouldn't be economical
could this be done on newer model 660
great video! if i were to remove my throttle plate without retuning would this cause issues?
@@lachlannh not ideal but you might get away with it

The fun police have been all over this bike!
It’s had its balls reconnected now though!!
Wont be long before it’s a jail time offense to derestrict an engine like that.
I rode my Hayabusa today, that doesn’t need any mods… sooooo good!
@@jeeves6490 ah okay that makes some sense thanks.
@jeeves6490 it's the HP to weigh ratio
