      @@PHOENIXNATIONFITNESS (not meant with rude intention) I might be able to do this on my own, as I have many friends willing to guide me along the path to a healthier and better me. I would like to thank you for the opportunity but no thank you. Your videos have already made me lose 2 pounds in 2 days, and the joy of seeing my weight go down and my appearance slimmer but with more muscles and the desire is what will finally drive me to have a healthier life.

    Been fit on and off all my life. Now after snowboarding season ended and lockdown my fitness levels plummeted after doing three days of other beginner workouts i came across this one with tired legs i managed it and a bout twenty minutes later got up and did it again. Great for someone who has just turned fifty.

    Ok this is exactly what i was searching for amongst all the videos to get started as a beginner. Even though i can comfortably run for an hour. This is a different ball game. I have over done jumping in the past and my calves were screaming for days. This is so perfect as it details out rest and not so prolonged jumping and just pure basic bounce not all the fancy other types skilled jumping. I am trying to loose last 5 pounds of stubborn fat. I cannot run for more than once a week as my cycling performance is hampered as quads are exhausted. This mainly burns my calves

    • @PHOENIXNATIONFITNESS
      @PHOENIXNATIONFITNESS  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hey Cole, welcome to my TH-cam channel. Basic Bounce is a great beginner jump rope skill; however, I would encourage you to learn the Boxer Step th-cam.com/video/R3TBYH50sQU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=SDo_Y9FVrzkhs6CG as well, as this does not place as much load on your calves because you get to have a quick rest when you alternate. Learning this skill will help build endurance in your calves, which is needed when performing jump rope workouts. I would also encourage you to stretch your calves and achilles at the end of each session and add a Couch Stretch for your quads. Here is a link if you are unfamiliar with this th-cam.com/video/ulgAOykAgV4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=viBakJpK4iwvuYId
      Remember, it's important to listen to your body and take rest days. Please reach out if you need any more assistance with jumping. All the best Winter ❄️

      @@PHOENIXNATIONFITNESS Hi winter, appreciate you taking the time out for guiding. Certainly I would incorporate boxers jump for sure for the reasons you mentioned. I tried the workout in the video today and it felt good. Such videos help tremendously instead of using stopwatch. So I'll play it on my workout session from now on. Good luck to 1 million subscribers journey. I'll post your channel link along with my jumping workouts on Strava. Perhaps that will yield few subscribers more 😊.

      Hello Kastles absolutely you can have a go at doing this workout. What you will need is some good floor space that is even, comfortable footwear, a rope and some good tunes! Please let me know how you go and if you have any questions as I am here to help you get started :)

      The Phoenix Movement Thank you so much. Yes I hope to do well. I did do a workout today with this video. Very helpful 😁 I know I will be sore because my body isn’t used to movement like this... but with perseverance and a healthy calorie deficit diet; I can’t wait to see results 😊

    Hello! Thanks for this video; I’m using this to learn basic jump as a beginner. However, once I start to move on to boxer’s skip, for some reason I have trouble with co’ordination... feet/hands. Is this common? What can I do to overcome?

    This is the first day that I've been able to jump the rope without it catching on my feet. It took me 2 days to figure out when to jump. Lol. So I held both handles in one hand and swung the rope at my side. Every time it hit the floor, I slapped my other thigh with my hand. It helped to know when to jump.

      The best way to track this is by using a wearable or an online calculator for accurate results.
