This is extremely helpful. I had a feeling you were meant to let the car get a bit more vertical before you double tap. It seems like most people, including me, misinterpret fast aerials from all these tutorials as you’re meant to double tap as quick as humanly possible while holding the stick down, when you can just wait for a tiny bit before hitting the jump button again. Sorry for the rambling, physically writing things down helps me to memorize!

Me & my friend just started playing this game, and I've seen all the crazy tricks there are. But my friend just learned how to double jump flip last night lol.
He was so surprised when we were wrecked by the aerial plays. I have no skill with aerials since I'm still trying to understand the flip directions, but I tried to explain how they're doing it.
Rocket League is the most mechanical game ever made
No doubt. I don’t think a game has ever driven more controller sales than Rocket League 😂. I’ve probably gone through 8 ps4 controllers. The PS5s last a lot longer but they don’t hit the same for me.

hold back until youre slightly under where you actually want to go, because the nose of your car will go up a little on its own because of momentum. Just let go slightly before and let the car do the rest. Bang.

Does holding the accelerate button make a difference in aerial speed?
No it doesnt but it does feel slightly different when like turning In the air

yes it does and so does holding the jump button the entire time between the first and second push, which was not mentioned in the video.

Just saying the reason that the fast aerial is “faster” is because the second empty jump in the air pushes you for the most part backwards (slightly up), therefore giving you more time to reach the ball
this is false... it's faster because of the time delay between the jumps means you are getting more thrust out of the first one before activating the second one... something he didnt mention here is that you should also be holding the jump button the entire time between the first and second push

@@eloc.-1 there is a simple way to test your fast aerial... jump up and touch and almost land on the wall above the goal with 0 boost. If you can't even do it with 1 small boost pad (12 boost) then you clearly dont know what the f you are doing.
edit: it has absolutely nothing to do with going "slightly backwards" or whatever that stupid sht was that you said.

This video is missing that you must hold the jump button for 1.5 secs (try holding the jump button and see how long it takes before your car stops going up and starts going down) to get there faster.

it's only .2 secs. This .2 seconds is what also allows you to keep your flip longer in the air

Currently 1800 and I don’t fast aerial, spend 2k+ hours with boost on circle. Cannot change now lmfao

@@jb7055 if you can’t fat thumb it consistently or play claw then you can’t speed flip for fast aerial
@@devan8425 a double jump semi fast aerial is enough for most circumstances anyways

@@aspedic4863 I'm champ 2, I can air dribble and dribble and all that easy. I just think learning all that, at least to any usable degree in 3 weeks is ridiculous. If you're really in your first 3 weeks you should be making sure your aerials are nailed down
I do the exact same thing you do but can seem to do it.
How to flip reset
I'm 3 years late but is it better to already be using boost before starting the aerial or start using boost at the first jump of the aerial?
Depends if you need to go forward or not. Usually you press it same time as junp.if you're going straight up. But typically you want to be boosting already.

Jump and boost and Hold back at the same time when ur pointing where u wanna go release ur stick and jump and boost at the same time this will take some practice and if u try and rush it Ull back flip

bro i use my Jump on X and my boost on O(ps4) so it's impossible to use boost and jump at the same time
Not impossible just need find a technique and get used to it thats the way I learned it there’s a couple of vids about it on YT

Octane users are trash. Broken hitboxes ruin this game. That hitbox is all over the place. How can a zippy have the same hitbox as a road hog xl? Make that make sense. I refuse to use any car with that hitbox because I don’t like cheat codes in games like this.
