    At this point of the season I would wait for an educated bike purchase next year. In fact check with the resort’s rentals to see if they would be willing to sell a rental bike. Sometimes they cycle through old bikes to get the latest models and might be willing to sell some stock for a discount. Also bike shops will discount last year’s models in the middle of winter. That might be the opportune time to find a deal. Good luck.

    Lucas, Deer is one of the "plushest" resorts for Skiing (sometimes double grooming overnight on dump days). Same can be said about their MTB trails. Deer's trails are pristine for the most part. What you experienced at Sundance was more in line with other Bike parks. Mammoth for example, has loose and chunky trails compared to Deer (except for the Town Trail where everyone rides). You just happened to start your Bike park riding journey at Deer, one of the most high end Bike parks out there ( (in terms of trail maintenance).

    • @hoxleyholesoap
      @hoxleyholesoap ปีที่แล้ว

      When you compare summer lift ticket prices though, Deer Valley is hard to beat.

    Not sure what your travel was on the front fork but you probably just needed more air :). If that happens again, take it back to the shop, they’ll adjust it for you. Don’t worry, you’ll soon have your own bike, a shock pump along with other stuff to keep you dialed in lol!

    Really enjoying your mtb videos! A little more air in the fork would’ve definitely helped, but having a bike with a little more travel for the faster/chunkier downhill trails is ideal. A Fezzari Delano Peak or La Sal Peak would be a little more suited for the riding you did there. Fezzari makes a solid bike for the price.

    LOL, the joke goes: there are 2 types of mountain bikers; those who love flow trails....and liars. That fork was not set up for you. You should never bottom out your fork unless you have made a grave error in judgement on the trail. It either needed more air pressure or more volume spacers or both. As for drops, you are opening up a real can of worms there. Perhaps the most controversial subject in mountain biking! The ONLY video you'll ever need concerning drop is this: th-cam.com/video/om-2RRXveCQ/w-d-xo.html
