They built the light rail tracks in the existing downtown bus tunnels.

Thanks! Currently, 2019 is the set date for the switch to exclusive light rail usage in the Downtown tunnel.
March 23, 2019, the most recent Saturday before my writing of this comment, was the day the buses got evicted from the downtown tunnel.
