Thank you, Heather. This is a very timely and important video for me. Our beloved chihuahua, Lucie, passed on December 9. It is heartbreaking. But I am grateful for having had her love and devotion.❤

Your video came at a perfect time. I'm dealing with my 90 year old mom who is losing her memory. Regarding your precious little doggie, I used to be a hospice nurse and estimations of death are just that...estimations. taking the time to research kidney disease in dogs, identifying foods to avoid and amounts of liquids that are safe to give, can really make a difference in doggie's quality of life.
Thank you for ALL of the videos that you have put out. And I'm glad you shared today's message.

I'm so sorry to hear Hurricaine isn't well. No one wants to hear that news, but it is inevitable at some point. Enjoy the time you have left together. Knowing what's ahead makes it extra special. It's tough letting go. Our pets bring us so much love and joy. We are blessed to have them. My heart goes out to you.

Oh Heather, I'm so sorry to hear about little Hurricane. I know it hurts, and you are so brave to share. I hope the diagnosis is wrong and he lives a long, long time. On the other hand, reality bites... but we can always hope (and pray). My heart goes out to you. HUGS!!💕💕

    Hi Heather!
My heart goes out to you. Hurricane is your beloved pet. I pray he will be ok and you will have him in your life a good long time more. Dogs are so special and become our “babies.” Let go and let God resonates with me about a lot I worry about. I will take your advice. May God bless you. Love and Kindness, Teresa

This video is so very timely for me. My worry has been about a Yorkie too. The day before Christmas my husband saw a lost/stray dog. We have seen the dog and tried to catch, but it has been scared and alluded us. Its getting bitterly cold and our neighbors have seen it up until a few days ago. None of the rescue services could help. The only good thing is that I've knocked on my neighbors doors and have gotten about a dozen people trying to help this little dog. Your other ideas will help too. Hurricane is so loved and looks in minimal or no discomfort. I wish our pups were with us much longer, but I will always enjoy the companionship of a dog!!

So many good things you have said! It is important to look after yourself first, and if you are a care provider for someone, keeping their lives as normal as possible is comforting for them, especially if they have minds that have changed due to illnesses. I am sorry to hear of Hurricane’s diagnosis, and it is certainly hard to say goodbye to our pets. We have lost 3 dogs and 2 horses, and nothing replaces each one. However if we know we have loved and cared for them to the best of our abilities, that is all we can do. And that applies to people as well. Stress does cause illness, and it is so hard to anvoid and control. Yes, I would appreciate videos along this vein in the future, it brings us all together.

I am so sad to hear about little Hurricanes health declining. I had a little Chihuahua mix dog that also had kidney problems that we found about when she suddenly began having seizures. We did everything the vet said and showered her with even more love. She lived a long time with the disease. She always knew how much she was loved and Hurricane knows how much he is loved by you and his TH-cam friends. I always enjoy your reflections on life and how to handle the problems we all face everyday, so yes please keep it up ! I have always been a huge worrier and I actually gave myself an ulcer a long time ago from worrying way too much about every possible thing that could go wrong. It took that ulcer diagnosis to make me let go of worrying about things I could not control. Thank you for sharing the news about Hurricane. Just remember that the time estimation is just an estimation. Enjoy every single moment with him as you both already do. He is such a special little guy. Give him extra kisses from his Auntie Lisa ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thanks so much for touching my heart (as you always do) with your message. I agree now that his prognosis is just an estimation and I won't dwell on the 3 months. You should have seen him on his walk today, bouncing along like a puppy! Thanks so much for your extra kisses Auntie Lisa!!

Thank you! Everyone is working through something in their lives so it is nice to see you speaking about that. My go to s for stress and worry are meditation and working out at a cross fit gym. Cross fit moves and workouts require focused attention which really help me get out of a negative headspace. Meditation gives me the chance to connect to the oneness of all things helping me to feel less alone.

I'm very sorry Heather you are going thru this. There are so many challenges in life but yet we manage to get thru it. No problem with the video. Thank you for it. Fashion isn't everything and we have other things in life that are important, too. I lost my elderly cats so I know how it is. I also lost my elderly mother in 2022. My youngest daughter lost her cat who was young because of a severe medical issue after spending so much money on her with vets. I felt so sad for her. But recently she took in a stray cat and that helps. This cat would not have made it thru the winter if she hadn't taken her in. My oldest daughter is currently going thru medical issues with her 12 year old snowshoe cat so I worry about that. I really try not to worry too much about things but occasionally I have anxiety that keeps me from sleeping thru the night. When I get like that I do some breathing exercises and try to clear my mind.

Thanks so much for your kind words and sharing your stories about the cats. I love the deep breathing exercises, those are a great way to control anxiety. Take care.

I’m sorry to hear this about Hurricane. He is such a sweet pup. And an estimate could be longer than they say also. I’ve heard of people who were given a short amount of time, but made it much longer. I used to be a worrier. But not anymore. I realized it did no good. Once I quit worrying I felt much better. I’m 65 and walk down to our mailbox. We live on the side of a mountain. And our driveway is steep. But as long as we can walk up and down the driveway we will. When we can’t we will buy an ATV and drive it down to get the mail. I tell myself when I’m walking down that It keeps my younger. Then I turn around to walk back up. And I say I hate this driveway. It does get my heart rate up. I have an Apple Watch and check it when I get back up to the house. I’m sure if anyone goes down while I’m walking up or down my driveway talking to myself may think I’m crazy.
