So far, very positive review for this movie. I am also not the target audience, but I will probably see it one or two weeks down the line when the theaters are not as crowded. The game sounds a lot like Mafia or Werewolf, someone is "killed" while the rest of the citizens have to find the "killers" before all the citizens are eliminated.
I really appreciate the awknolgement of the genz humour because a lot of people felt the dialogue was cringey but ive had a lot of conversations that were sadly very similar ... it wasnt exagerated its just the result of social media on our generation
A lot of red herrings but love the ending, A24 never disappoints. The girl (from borat 2) who played the foreign student was great, didn't recognize her until looking up the credit. To me the who dunnit pay off was better than Scream
"They're are not as *nihilistic as they look* on the internet" - saw the trailer awhile back, and was stumped by that opening line! LOL! After your detailed character(s) "insight" and 'gray areas' comments - I understand why 'the game' became more complex than on surface level! :D
Excellent review! I’m very happy with the amount of thoughtful reviews you put out and the variety as well. I liked the movie but didn’t love it. Gave it a 3/5 for me. I agree with your take on not needing to be of the generation to enjoy the film (I’m 35) but to be very online definitely helped with the some of the jokes. Bakalova was my stand out personally. I expected more from Sennott’s character in the humor department but still a fairly joyous performance. Stenberg really stood out near the end thankfully because the first half I felt she was miscasted.
I prefer my Displates ;). Have a great Star Wars original + Baby Yoda (Grogu) looking up at the sky, in my man cave - too cute! :) Also, nude twister in the dark with baby oil can be fun with the right group... 🤣
I personally will skip this one. I don't know why, but I get annoyed by Pete Davidson whenever he is on screen. Did he do anything wrong? No, I just can't stand him
@@Mayor_Of_Eureka17 Almost everybody who meets Pete likes him. He has maintained friendships with people who he met as a teenager. People who have acted with him or directed him have nice things to say about him. You hear he is polite, kind and generous. He comes off as likeable in interviews too. Almost all the negativity towards him comes from people on the internet who have never been in the same room with him or usually even watched an interview of him.
Rachel is hilarious! Super fresh with her outfit, the story was very unrelatable...I was frustrated with Jordan.....the Jordan character was very distasteful and obnoxious. I was fir certain she was the antogonist from the start....everything Jordan did felt super disingenuous !! Also I was not expecting the ending, only because I couldnt relate to the characters which meant I couldnt understand their actions....The ending was unexpected but felt lazy, looking back,...its actually insane how the story turned out. Within ONE night all that madness just happened
I think it depends on what type of movie you're looking for. Bodies is dark horror-comedy, Bullet is action-comedy... but you won't go wrong with either!
^ this. I watched both back-to-back. Pick Train if you want more mainstream action & humor. BBB is more of dark comedy/satire mixed with slasher thriller. Both were fun for me.
Too many stupid choices by the characters and too many plot points that reveal themselves only at the very last second- when the plot needs them to really tool me out of this. A lot of the ‘comedy’ that you could tell was meant to be that just didnt land, mostly because of the already contempt for the douchebag portrayal of the characters themselves.. not all of it, but most of it. And too many times i was saying to myself, ‘that wouldnt happen’.. also the house seems to be a lot bigger and more intricate than we’re lead to believe in the beginning, as if that too opened up only when the plot needed it to.. it was an ok movie but not anything more than average at best.
I really hated the trailers/ promos for this movie and truly don’t see the appeal of Pete Davidson. But I do trust your opinion so I think I’ll catch this at a matinee
Well... There are a lot of moments of girls kissing each other in here. I dunno why that would bother you, but if that's a big no-no for you, yeah, better skip

Yes! We play Werewolf sometimes and it's that same premise... except they have to go and hide through a house! I hope you enjoy it!
I used to have a camp counselor that told THE BEST Mafia death reveals, it was my favorite game for a long time
Glad you enjoyed this one, been on my anticipated list for a while. Can’t wait to check it out!
I hope you get to have fun with it!
And Then There Were None is my favorite book, so I'm sold on this movie. Thanks!
Have you seen the two part film/series
@@thejamesbondshow9754 the one from BBC? I loved it! I liked it better then the book and that says a lot! 🍿
A24 has had an incredible slate this year.
Every year yo
The Way Way Back is one of my faves, too!!

This is one I’m excited to check out. I’m really enjoying all the positive reviews it’s been getting.
It was surprisingly fun!
Just watched, its very poor for me, 2/10

I loved the opening scenes.
Felt like we were in for a helluva ride.
But then the ride lost power and we pushed our way to the end.
7.3
Great review my friend. I can't wait to check out. I loved hearing your thoughts on it.
Thanks! I hope you have fun with it!

Thanks! Movies And Munchies
I'm going to see this tonight since I saw Beast last night, I feel like this is one of those fun movies with a bit of seriousness thrown in...
Looks like they remade Dead Body (2017) with a higher budget. I’m looking forward to this.
i'm watching that movie now, it sucks

If her character is Ernest who is Vern?
?

He isn’t funny and I find him to be annoying.
Not really familiar but I do think he’s always sickly looking and don’t understand the hype. I haven’t watched SNL in about 20 years though.
His eye bags annoy me
@@jonthompson1068 it must tamper his comedy and overall personality too.

Please do a review of Prey!
Seems very good, definitely worth watching. 👍👍
Where can you watch this?
It's hitting theaters in NY and LA this weekend and then will begin to open wider on 8/12.
@@MoviesAndMunchies Do you know when and where it is steaming
@@gennabrooke4776 My guess is that it will be a few months before it hits any streaming platform.
1:20 for an intro. Come on
Toss up between this and bullet train

I remember we played murder
I've not played that one, is it similar to bodies bodies bodies?
Well I finally got around to watching this movie. Not my favorite. Fast forward most of it. Kind of obnoxious. I finished it - Ughhhh …. Yuck.

I'm not a huge Pete Davidson fan either, but he has some great moments in this.
He's perfect for this role, since he's playing a rich douchebag
p.s. generally speaking, I'm not a fan of his either
Not gonna lie, Pete Davidson is an instant turn off...granted the Start of Suicide Squad was legit.
I'm not typically a fan of his either, but when I saw him in King of Staten Island I was blown away.
@@MoviesAndMunchies fair enough my friend. I do in fact tune in for your opinions... I'll try again... Lol

Did you say A24? Hard pass
This movie was utter woke trash.
It really wasn't even remotely that.
This looks like tween crap. Nah. I'll stick with better horror.
I'm a 44 year old mom who is also a horror hound. It absolutely was not tween crap.
