    Please read: No I do not have all of these electronics and lights on 24/7. In reality, it is hardly ever. I only turn on most or all of my electronics and lights for very special occasions which is hardly ever. Please don't assume that my homelab has all of these devices running all the time because it's far from the truth. Also please don't assume that I don't pay for power and hardware. Because you would be dead wrong. I have been paying for everything including power since I got hooked on technology back over 15 years ago. Also don't assume that I acquired all this equipment overnight. It has taken many years of slowly saving up to buy things. And when I do projects I buy new parts only when my budget allows. Also for some context, a lot of the equipment I buy for projects takes between 2 to 5 months to save up for because I live below the poverty line in the US. I only make these videos because I love technology and homelabbing as a hobby and I wanted to share my experience and motivate people to get their tech and homelabbing passions started. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Context is critical in so many situations and this is no exception.

    It still amazes me on how incredible these setups look, Nate! I especially like the Patriot setup 😲
    Also it was great to hear that you were able to bring in some of the computers in the workshop to a recycler. 👍

    Really cool setup! I've been setting up my own homelab for about the past year, so I know you're spot on when you say not to buy it all at once 😅 And you can often find good deals with a bit of patience.

      100% Correct! :-) Little by little is the best way to acquire new and used hardware and still have a budget! Awesome to hear you have a home lab too! I find it amazing that homelabbing has exploded in popularity over the last 3-5 years. It’s a great way to gain experience with hardware and software. And watching other people tinker with equipment is very therapeutic to me personally. A big stress reliever for sure! Thank you so much! 😊

    on the standing desk, how were you able to mount the 3 27 inch monitors? those standing desks are too thick for mounting gear, if that’s an on desk monitor mount, what type is it?

    • @NatesZone
      @NatesZone  9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I have a dual monitor vesa mount than stands on the desk for both bottom monitors. The top monitor is mounted to a stud in the wall. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08DH174PB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BCUM766/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    As a 32 year old man, all I can think of when I see this is how expensive your electric bill must be 😂!

    • @NatesZone
      @NatesZone  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s a little expensive. But that’s because our power company has jacked up the rates on power since the virus hit in 2020. I mentioned at the end of the video that this stuff is hardly ever on all at once. I only have this many things on for very special occasions which isn’t often. Thanks for watching! :-)

    Nice setup! America would've been better if it didn't send billions to Ukraine and Israel and rather solved domestic problems with that money. Israel has free healthcare and education, insane.

      Well, I guess there's a reason why America sends those billions, it's not like Ukraine and Israel hold a gun to America's head :) There must be things we don't know or understand.
