18 years ago I took my lottery ticket to a lotto retailer in one of metro stations in Toronto. That Indian guy took my ticket and he told me “I didn’t win anything”, I asked my ticket back and he refused to give it back with a lame excuse. I was a new comer then and I didn’t know my rights. It’s possible I walked away from a bigwin because in years I heard that many lotto retailers became millionaires by confiscating people’s tickets illegally. If that’s what happened to me, I wish eternal bad luck for those who is responsible!

Someone I know said that he knew he had a ticket worth 250K and that the retailer switched it on him...stole it from him.
Now you know why those "sellers" live in big house.
He deserves it for not signing his ticket.
Why would you go to a retailer when you know you've won 250k?

Write your name behind the ticket, fill in the ID questions, in that case, no one can steal your money.

Those types you stay away from. All they want is your money. I had a taste of that. What you should do is make a copy of the ticket , go to the claim center in a private car, & move to a different state.
Take a picture of the ticket or write the serial number down and save it.

If you look at the prize claim form from the OLG, it does require where you bought the ticket to be declared... The sound on the machine at the retailer when you validate is different if it's a higher amount as well.
A guy from northern ontario was able to claim a $2.5 million dollar ticket prize with a random ticket he bought down in southern ontario with a ticket he stuck in his baggage and forgot about for months in toronto when the airports were all closed. Pretty sure he wouldn't have had to remember the store, and place he bought it from when turning it in.

Before New Year I won over $3000. Call then went to downtown Toronto it took them around 20 minutes. You show them the tickets fill up the small form and everything done.

So if one buys a ticket in Toronto from OLG but flies home before the draw to BC; if it’s a winner can it be redeemed at the BCLC prize center or would you have to fly back to Toronto?
I am a truck driver that covers multiple Provinces. One time I bought a ticket in Alberta and I live in B.C, I couldn't scan my ticket in B.C to see if it was a winner or anything. I had to check it when I went back to Alberta.

my group at work has beeen playing the same numbers at work since lotto max started most we won $100 a few years ago
Playing the same numbers over and over again is the worst thing to win. You can consider play as group a recommended numbers. For example, you can check my predictions, as my channel give predictions 30 hours before the draw, and after the draw, you can review, how many tickets won. Nothing to hide, we give predictions fair and square.

You cannot "validate" a lottery ticket on a phone app. You can check it but you cannot validate it. A ticket can only be validated on a lottery terminal at an authorized lottery retailer.

They same way with me, when I go to gasoline stations to cash my multiple winning tickets, they told me that all the total of winning. Then I said to the cashier I wrote all the tickets amount of winning so that I know exactly the amount you win. I down load the lottery apps from there I know the amount. The cashier she looked at me. I told them don't hide to me my winning tickets.

I’d recommend you watch a film called _Finder’s Fee (2001)._ Any lottery enthusiast would thoroughly enjoy the film. It’s a classic. Warren I recommend you watch it as well if you haven’t already.

They want to talk to you right away mostly because they are hoping the ticket isn't yours, i.e. you had your underaged kid go try to claim your winnings, etc. Then they don't have to pay!

You should consider review my channel. I give predictions 30 hour before the draw, and there is review what numbers is won. Maybe your group luck can change from won nothing on almost each draw, to win something more often. :D

Chris Honsberger I cant prove your answer right or wrong but I highly doubt that. It is a lottery ticket obtained by purchasing with money. A so called free lottery where you enter to win would technically require an answer to a “skill question.” Therefore I don’t believe you. But I’ll let you know the correct answer after I win!🏦

Like I said the government collects the intrest on the big money lotterys thats why they don't show the draws on TV anymore does computers make any sense for smaller prizes think about it. 60.000.000 is a great some of money to collect intrest on.
