In this case, I installed the heatsink on the motherboard before putting it in the case but either way would work as the Socket 2011 heatsink didn't require backplates for installation.
Also for all those questioning the quality of this case as far as the materials. I own this case and not only is it solid it's awesome looking in person. As far as quality goes and full metal cases verses half metal half plastic like this one. This case weighs 47.3lbs empty and the Silverstone TJ11 full metal case only weighs 38.36lbs empty, so which one do you think has the better metal going on because the better the metal the heavier the case. Something to think about huh.....
I talk about what the wires do in the product overview video around the 14 minute mark (click on the link on the upper right hand corner of this installation video)
Well he sort of covers those two prong cables... He mentions the Fan cables but I with you, Aiizick I have this case but I can't figure out the two prong cables... I think they are LED indicators??? Can someone be specific about these two prong cables? What do we do with these?
I just got this tower and I don't know what the wires are that are from the front of the case, the two hole wires that are not marked (not the fan wires) there are very many of them, what do I do with these wires where do i put them and what do they do, please help, thank you in advance!
Knowing myself i will nos slep well till all those cables even at the backside door get organized, how can i do this best ? i am going to use led at 3x1200top fans and 200mm front fans (all coolermaster fans)
debating between and the original cosmos 1000. while the 1000 has more metal sturdier components the cosmos 2 has better cable management and ventilation. Help?
Hey bro.. i have the same case as you, cosmos 2, i have a problem installing my black ice gt 360 mm xflow radiator on top of the case, i got the some mounting screw issue on both radiator and the chasis, and there is this thing in the chasis blocking the tip of the radiator near the optical drive slot... kinda desperate to resolve my problem.. thanks and more power..
lol true but like I said it's already a pretty solid case as it is. I keep mine on my desk because I don't like my PCs sitting on the floor and it's a heavy mother to pickup now that's it's filled up.
If they designed this case totally out of metal, not only would it cost much more it would be heavier then it already is. This case loaded weighs in the ballpark of 80 - 100lbs as is do you really want to add more weight to that...
its mostly steel and some plastic ... its really huge compared to other cases which are made of aluminium - personally i dont care if its steel or aluminium, i would even prefer steel (i like heavy cases - dont know but i feel saver with them - they are less likely to fall) only annoying part is the plastic ... plastic should barely exist in anything over 250€
Thank you! Will use this as a guide when I build mine.

Looks like an awesome case. but so many wires scare me.

A wonderful case, very easy to get started with!

You could fit the Cosmos 1000 inside this case that's the difference.
magic and hardened aluminum

Plastic, Aluminium and steel
That case is way too heavy to be made of aluminum. That's impossible.
why not ? more exercise when you want to move it ;P
