Hello! :O) I've just one word to say... IMPRESSIVE!!! :O) If you had not mentioned about the perspex side door being built by yourself, I honestly thought it was part of the case when you bought it!
I have a feeling you got the stretching arm just to show off for when friends and family comes over. Attach to your desk, then when people say hello!, you just let it extend. Then the optional put shades on of course.
Stuart Tonks That's probably a better option as opposed to buying 3mm thickness as a guess. Just concerned 5mm will be significantly more expensive. Can recall 4mm being a lot more to buy than 3mm therefore 5mm must be a lot more to buy. What do you recommend for shaping the edges? Don't like the idea of using a jigsaw but possibly a scroll-saw. Cannot afford a band-saw unfortunately. Thank you.
GGF Events Barnacules Nerdgasm Didn't even watch the video yet. Liked & subscribed based on the specs alone :O Also, seeing the size of this case appearing as if it can swallow this skinny white man gave me the chuckle I oh so needed & warmed my spirits :D Can't wait to see what's in this man's catalogue :)
REEEEDONKULUS! What's possible to achieve with this set up? What type of work are you doing when running 5 screens at that resolution? I have so many questions...
I'm using a NZXT Phantom, the "PHAN-001BK Enthusiast ATX Full Tower Computer Case", for my rig right now. You said in your previous video for this build that you think the Cosmos II is one of the best cases you've used. How do you compare the two? If you don't mind me asking an annoying-to-answer question.
Na that's alright. I haven'tused the NZXT but I think the Cosmos is a bit bigger and I really like the bottom PSU and HDD area. Really separates them. The cosmos can also take the largest of motherboards as well.
I like this build alot. If I only had the wallet for it I would get myself a "Monster Rig" as well, as Im salivating (Yeah Im a bit exalted atm.) all over my Dell U2412M monitor + a CM Quickfire TK MX-Brown, when Im looking at monster builds like this as well as many other stunning rigs. I could still dream about it happening, but thats sadly where it stays for me! (Im still happy with the PC I have now, so its not a complaint ;))
The limit to overclocking is not in the ASUS board - it is in the Xeon processors themselves that are locked, You cannot get 4.5 Ghz out of a Xeon even with the EVGA board. And also the ASUS board CAN use the i7 processor... it's just that you are limited to using one i7. i7's aren't designed to work in tandem.
You can easily get 4.5ghz from an Evga SR2 which I said, that is socket 1366, not this socket. Pretty sure I also said you can use 1 CPU as well. I am well aware of what this board can do and how to use it.
Stuart Tonks If it's you who appears in this video Stuart, it's very obvious that you know your stuff! Not saying you don't... And I should have commended you on your technical aptitude as well as your creative industriousness... resulting in a very sweet customized build! I was responding to your comment at 2:26 where you were describing the ASUS board. You said,"...and no you cannot run a standard i7 in this...". You had a lot of things to convey. We all misspeak occasionally. I'm sure you meant to say that you could not run a PAIR of i7s. And I was also responding to 4:10 where you were discussing overclocking with the ASUS board. You said, "...this one you can't overclock. Not a huge concern for me. I don't need to be running 4, 4.5 on um, on every core..." But you had said earlier that you did overclock the Xeons a little on the board. I'm just clarifying that the limit is due to the design of the Xeons, not the board. And that Xeons won't OC past the 3.1Ghz you achieved. Again, great vid. Just trying to clarify for those who haven't played with dual-socket solutions.
HaloMC117 Ya, but you have to run it at minimum settings and even then, I wouldn't try going any higher than 240p unless you want to melt the processors. Hell, this thing would have a hard time running Microsoft Word!
Yea the only disadvantage of the new Xeons is the non OC. But there are a whole heap of new advantages going to the E5's. I get a much faster link between CPUs, faster PCIE spec speed and also everything comes off either CPU 1 or 2, not through a north-bridge.
i love it 100% what i would do if i had the funds. could you tell me how you got the clear sheet to bend for your door mod please. even better if you could upload an instructional video. thanks and take care :@)
***** This my personal gear and everything in this system is purchased by me. Yes I do have sponsored rigs but I mention the sponsors in the video and have those systems on display at my events.
Lorenzo Donzelli I don't add it all up, it's an ongoing build and just swap things out when I get something new. I rarely buy gear new and I think the motherboard and sound card are one of the only new items in the system.
Stuart Tonks Hello Stuart I really need your help. I bought an EVGA SR-X however I regret that I did as I got a good deal on two Quadro k5000 graphics cards. The sad thing is when I found out that Kepler professional cards do not work on the SR-X. I want to know if I can install two Quadro k5000 and two Tesla k40 cards on this Z9PE-D8 motherboard.
I have 2 e5 xeon 2650 2gb, and a supermicro X9DR3-F , 2 gtx 980 ti, 64 gb of memory, but i cant up my processeur to 2.8 gb with turbo, if i change my mother borad, and i will buy Asus Z9PE-D8 WS, it gonna be better in performance? and i can put gtx in SLI, it can help please? thank you for you answer.
I think you have not understood me, the super micro does not support SLI, I have two cards gx 980 ti, but not SLI, unfortunately I can not enjoy the potential of SLI also put a third card, 4th slot I metterais a black magic for monotring to summarize the Asus done well to manage the SLI even 4 times, which allows for more performance and rendering is done quickly, even when working in muticame, for history to mount the processor 2.8 gb instead of 2GB, is writing about the characteristic of the xeon 2650, but personellementje have never seen up to 2.8GB when I export a video, here is what.
+momobest E One thing to remember is processor stepping, the es versions are usually B0 Stepping. Which effects newer graphics cards. I have a quadro k4000 card that it doesn't like running at all!..It booted one in 5 times when it was in. I was told its something to do with memory allocation on boot and the C0 stepping processors would support it better, but they where a lot more money at the time and I would have to flash up to a particular bios which doesn't support the B0's for the card to work. Just one to be aware of. There's a list on asus's website if I recall, of bios and card compatibility
Though's cores should be hyper threaded so you have 32 cores theoretically, I have a similar build for a cad workstation its been great so far. I didn't set up ssd caching from the beginning so, im thinking about a fresh install. That case is mahosive, I got mine into a Silverstone Grandia GD07
Well with that budget i would go with 2 Xeon Cpus and 2 Titan Z's around 5000 dollars with the motherboard and the watercooling and you still have 2000 left for case / storage / extra fans and PSU
if you are not familiar to computer assembling you should find someone to make it for you cause water cooling is something dangerous if you are not sure of what you are doing.
You pretty much wrecked a beautiful case and ruined the airflow with that ugly window on the side. The blue paint is disgusting to look at. The external raid was interesting, but the hack job you did on that power supply is pretty bad.
If you don't make video games, know what Nuke is or never heard of Maya or Houdini, you are right. However, some of us know how to put this system to work....not play video games on it.
I got my superworkstation for about 1300€: CPU: 2x Xeon 2670 v0 Stepping 6 ( 190 € from ebay ) MB: ASUS Z9PA-D8 ( 288€ ) GPU: GTX 970 ( 250 € ) POWER: BeQuiet Dark Power 11 ( 150€ ) Cinebench R15: 2,003 pts ( cpu only ) GeekBench: 36,000 pts And it has 2x Arctic Freezer 120 Liquid cooler ( 110€ ) in an 200R case ( 60€ ), its very silent and weights about 10kg. I use it mainly for C++ compiling and making music ( synths ) "Some of us know how to put this system to work" - Yeah the point was u cant build a system without wasting 30times more money.
Wow, someones got editing skills.
nice videos man
Funny I found you here lol.
nobody cares
he isnt a fulltime youtuber and built his system by himself
oh and you are a "ancient windows worker"
where in the kitchen ? XD
yeah he does. Way better than i could do
Great video! I love the innovation, especially the rad/fan combo on the side.
Nice rig and mod you have put together there
There*
Hello! :O) I've just one word to say... IMPRESSIVE!!! :O) If you had not mentioned about the perspex side door being built by yourself, I honestly thought it was part of the case when you bought it!
....Can it run minesweeper?
It will not only run it, it will make it its bitch :D
ofc it can. While you watching 4k porn, playing bf4 in 4k, and enjoying this video in 1080p
pumastp98 it can't cause the gpu is "garbage" (for 4k gaming at least)
Dude this is crazy using a workstation board :) Nice job man
I have a feeling you got the stretching arm just to show off for when friends and family comes over. Attach to your desk, then when people say hello!, you just let it extend. Then the optional put shades on of course.
Hi, Fantastic work. Could you advise what size of plexiglass you used to make your side panel please? Thank you.
I think I used 5mm actually
Stuart Tonks That's probably a better option as opposed to buying 3mm thickness as a guess. Just concerned 5mm will be significantly more expensive. Can recall 4mm being a lot more to buy than 3mm therefore 5mm must be a lot more to buy. What do you recommend for shaping the edges? Don't like the idea of using a jigsaw but possibly a scroll-saw. Great video, amazing PC you have there, I have an unrelated question though, where did you get that awesome ROG T-shirt from? :D
GGF Events Barnacules Nerdgasm Didn't even watch the video yet. Are you Australian mate? Great quality video's mate. Cheers
what make / model of actuator did you use for this system?
impressive case - I've got to admit :)
REEEEDONKULUS! What's possible to achieve with this set up? What type of work are you doing when running 5 screens at that resolution? I have so many questions...
Can you play minecraft at low to medium specs with an average fps of 25-30 on this build?
jogenist No. more like 10,000 fps.
I'm using a NZXT Phantom, the "PHAN-001BK Enthusiast ATX Full Tower Computer Case", for my rig right now. Great Server man! What is the brand of monitors in the back ground on the left side behind you? Thanks!
beautiful work
Good works
How do you afford all of this? More importantly where do you get engineering samples from?
Hey, What do you use for the components in your computer and storage device?
Awesome! i have the Z9PA-D8
I would love to have the EVGA MB.
+gyt hrtytrrt Right on. Like wise.

hi Stuart, I am really serious about building one like this. Could you tell me the approximate price of this desktoop
Hey mate, Add me on FB, Stuart Tonks
May I ask if you are Australian?
I am digging the accents.
Yes I am :)
What is the name of your storage device?
Does this has m.2 port to hook NVME m.2 SSD?
What about the 2699 v3?
Will it run tetris?
HaloMC117 Ya, but you have to run it at minimum settings and even then, I wouldn't try going any higher than 240p unless you want to melt the processors. Hell, this thing would have a hard time running Microsoft Word!
what type or brand of ram is used for this system??
It is Patriot DDR3. I now have Avexir Core Series Blue
do you even storage bro?
case is nice never seen one that can open like a door and then has lights on the inside crazy super nice 9 fans is crazy overkill but still nice
id say the upgraded xeons would compensate for the lack of OC
Yea the only disadvantage of the new Xeons is the non OC. But there are a whole heap of new advantages going to the E5's. I get a much faster link between CPUs, faster PCIE spec speed and also everything comes off either CPU 1 or 2, not through a north-bridge.
Hi ,please i have q.code (bc) in this motherboard ,so how can i fix it please ?thanks
So it has 81920GB? God damn!
i love it 100% what i would do if i had the funds.
could you tell me how you got the clear sheet to bend for your door mod please.
even better if you could upload an instructional video.
thanks and take care :@)
Yea mate, All I did was used the original door as a template. Then slowly heated it and bent it over the original door :)
simple, but brilliant !!
thanks man :@)
7970 & 360 no probleem ? even when you play a game it doesn't cause no problems?
360? You talking about the 360 Radiator? I also have a 1080 Radiator
Stuart Tonks NO i mean the 2 GPU's
skullrdw Ok, not sure where you got the 360 from, but both GPUs work fine
how much fps on pong will I get from this pc?
Whath's the price of all of this??
He probably has sponsors who give him the stuff
***** This my personal gear and everything in this system is purchased by me. Yes I do have sponsored rigs but I mention the sponsors in the video and have those systems on display at my events.
yeah, how much did you spend
Lorenzo Donzelli I don't add it all up, it's an ongoing build and just swap things out when I get something new. I rarely buy gear new and I think the motherboard and sound card are one of the only new items in the system.

The sad thing is when I found out that Kepler professional cards do not work on the SR-X. I want to know if I can install two Quadro k5000 and two Tesla k40 cards on this Z9PE-D8 motherboard.
How much does it cost just like that.
if you sell your house you can buy it :D
Is this behemoth above 50kgs?
Yes, probably much more than that :p
I have 2 e5 xeon 2650 2gb, and a supermicro X9DR3-F , 2 gtx 980 ti, 64 gb of memory, but i cant up my processeur to 2.8 gb with turbo, if i change my mother borad, and i will buy Asus Z9PE-D8 WS, it gonna be better in performance? and i can put gtx in SLI, it can help please? thank you for you answer.

i speak better french than englich, i can translate by google.

this pc can run BF4 resolution 5k in LG 5k TV?
No.
no. Shit GPU
oh yeah lets just put fans on the side window where it gets no airflow, great idea bro bhahaha
i like the older red version better than this blue one, personal pref. tho xD
Oh really, Damn, I'll have to change it back, haha. I only made it blue cause the new mobo was blue.
Though's cores should be hyper threaded so you have 32 cores theoretically, I have a similar build for a cad workstation its been great so far. I didn't set up ssd caching from the beginning so, im thinking about a fresh install. That case is mahosive, I got mine into a Silverstone Grandia GD07
what white fans are you using?
The ones I'm using on the side radiator are just cheap NZXT silent fans. Just wanted cheap ones cause I needed 9 of them.
fyi: It can run a i7 because that is what I am currently running due to the fact I can't afford my dual xeon's yet
It can run a standard I7 but you lose half the PCIE and Ram slots
Stuart Tonks you are correct but a i7 is a good cheap "temp" cpu while you save for 2 decent Xeon's. Just letting people know
Joel Chambers Yes definitely, I was the one that did the video, should have made it more clear that it can use a single I7 if needed.
That computer could be a warcrime. :3
I got everything in the video without 80 TB of storage :O
Ways to waste your money PART 1 ... Waiting for PART 2!
Dear Santa,
get a caselabs case ! there the best.
White and blu is way better now.
huh like 20-30k$ ?
but only one video card? o.O and only a 7970? o.O if you have money and power for all this why not dual 780 or dual titan or smth
I have a ton of dedicated gaming boxes for gaming. And where am I going to fit the 2 videos?
radiator????
Phobya 1080 Extreme
EVERYONE KNOW YOUR PARENTS PAY FOR THAT !
Do you even raid bro? XD
Raid 0 FTW!
Lol
I`m still surviving with my pc "1,8Ghz dual core " ....
Dude your lucky I have a dell dimension 4500 only 20 gigs and intel Pentium 4 (still running xp) Dude really think before you comment
Neatest computer on earth
Fit this guy a 295x2 at least.
"Look how much money I have"
Cool pc! btw is it just me or dose that one fan look like a natzi symbol. not that it was on purpose lol
LOL, that's how it came, I think :p
2024 Send me this system!
I have 7000 dollars at my disposal what do you guys think, I should have in my PC?
Well with that budget i would go with 2 Xeon Cpus and 2 Titan Z's around 5000 dollars with the motherboard and the watercooling and you still have 2000 left for case / storage / extra fans and PSU
if you are not familiar to computer assembling you should find someone to make it for you cause water cooling is something dangerous if you are not sure of what you are doing.
Okay
Don't get a company to build it, get a local friend and buy him whatever he most desires.
Mike Denci
Mabye like 2 R9 295X2's since the Z is basiclly stooooopid
"How to waste your money: part 1"
whill th'is run minecwaft.
Ach du heilige ...
i have 64 gb storage :P
***** Envy :(
I have 500GB.
Now i upgraded to 500 GB :D
3.4 TB of storage.
8TB
You pretty much wrecked a beautiful case and ruined the airflow with that ugly window on the side. The blue paint is disgusting to look at. The external raid was interesting, but the hack job you did on that power supply is pretty bad.
pos que chingaos hace?
if only you could overclock :p
haha your 80 TB storage is just a big USB
+ 8 GB of ram makes no difference its only a waist of money -__-
amine kindaichi gta5 + windows need almost 8. now you add some webbrowser or recording programms.
you give it to me
My PC is better.
monster o_0
I want your babies ;0
lol case is almost bigger than him
I buy a car for this PC...
Wow. Someone has 20K to wast. So not useful for what your doing. But i agree that its cool to watch ruining.
no need lol
this is stupid... the entire system is just stupid... it is a giant waste of money...
even if you are a developer, there are much better options...
If you don't make video games, know what Nuke is or never heard of Maya or Houdini, you are right. However, some of us know how to put this system to work....not play video games on it.
A stupid game maker. That's funny.
You're a waste of money
I got my superworkstation for about 1300€:
CPU: 2x Xeon 2670 v0 Stepping 6 ( 190 € from ebay )
MB: ASUS Z9PA-D8 ( 288€ )
GPU: GTX 970 ( 250 € )
POWER: BeQuiet Dark Power 11 ( 150€ )
Cinebench R15: 2,003 pts ( cpu only )
GeekBench: 36,000 pts
And it has 2x Arctic Freezer 120 Liquid cooler ( 110€ ) in an 200R case ( 60€ ),
its very silent and weights about 10kg.
I use it mainly for C++ compiling and making music ( synths )
"Some of us know how to put this system to work"
- Yeah the point was u cant build a system without wasting 30times more money.
I hate these LED-Fan's... the look like criss-crosses -.-
why mix amd and nvidia gpus?
It has no effect on system performance. Already had the HD 7970 when I got the GT 630 and the GT 630 was the only card with the right outputs
