  • Why Don't Planets Collide with the Sun Due to Gravitation 🪐 | Why So Silly? | Spectrum By Vedantu. Have you ever wondered why planets don't collide with the sun? In this video, you will learn about the reason behind this wonderful topic. The sun is huge! And earth is accelerating towards it! The law of gravity says all things are attracted to each other, But don't worry; we won't get pulled into the sun. Why? Learn the basics of how planets orbit the sun and why they don't crash into each other in this informative video with Abhishek Sir.

      Astronomers have observed many ‘dead’ galaxies but the process of the death itself hasn’t been observed before - until now.
      Using the telescope Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA), astronomers observed a galaxy, nine billion light years away from the Earth, ejecting nearly half of its star-forming gas and losing fuel.

    I've been a mute viewer for too long. I need to say this now:
    Sir, I must say that your decision of initiating this channel is commendable. It's actually pushing us towards exploring many fields of science. This has made me realise that science is not just medical and engineering, it's way beyond that. For example, with your help, I've been able to discover my interest for astrophysics which has also given me a direction in life. Others might realise that they like some other branch of science. So sir, thanks a ton for this effort from your side. We'll appreciate it forever.

    • @waaridhborpujari7237
      @waaridhborpujari7237 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Well, as you were excited, I am telling you this.
      The planets actually revolve around the sun not because of Centripetal or Centrifugal force. It is instead, General Relativity, i.e., the curvature of space-time fabric. The sun bends the space-time fabric thus making the planets revolve around the sun.
      Don't believe me? Well, the strange orbit of Mercury around the sun was proved using General Relativity. It's the main cause 'currently' for the planet's revolution.
      The Newtonian gravity also fails in front of the Black Hole and General Relativity sustains. Thus, it is now proved that Newton was wrong and Einstein was right.
      Conclusion: General Relativity drives the revolution of planets around the sun.

    For example :- If a satellite is launched from the Earth's surface so , how it is made to revolve around the Earth ?? That circular motion comes from where and how ??

    In short, it is due to the *very high speed* of the planets and the *centrifugal force (i.e., a fictitious force)* acting on them that counterbalances the centripetal force acting on the planets towards the sun due to which the planets don't collide with the Sun or don't fall into the Sun. Waiting for this Amazing video. *Sci-Fi* and *Why so Silly?* are my *fav. playlists.* Sir, please make more of these. Thank You for making another video related to space. *Cosmos interests me a lot.*

      bro this is kids level understanding that doesnt even happen at all. space is like a fabric of space and time when a body of high mass is there it wraps the space time [check theory of relatvity but not from this idiot] due to which small bodies rotates around body hving larger masses.... check why gravity is not a force by veritasium dont learn from this idiot

    my silly question : if centrifugal and centripetal forces cancel out each other .then gravitational force is only force and why it doesnt pull towards it

    • @pfft3158

      @N Sharma Centrifugal and Centripetal forces are not action and reaction forces. Action and reaction forces don't act on da same body.

    My silly question:- do we also start revolving around the earth if we enter space?

    • @tj_0510
      @tj_0510 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      We cannot revolve around earth for long cuz earth's gravitational pull is so large that it will attract us towards it no matter how hard we try.

    • @Nero6570
      @Nero6570 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@tj_0510 nope you are wrong we will revolve around the Earth if we fall into its orbit and after a long long time we will enter its atmosphere

    • @manishsrivastava7502
      @manishsrivastava7502 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      when we some how excert an unbalanced force to move parallel to the earth, the earth's gravity is much larger than our force that it will attract us into it's atmosphere. So we will not revolve, but in case if the speed of ours is much larger then that gravitational force will be converted into centripetal force and we'll start revolving.

    • @NationalistFirst
      @NationalistFirst 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No you can't revolve around Earth, either you will be again fall to the Earth or maybe lost somewhere in space
      You need a force which will be balanced to the Earth's gravity then only you can revolve around Earth
      In simple language-
      Artificial Satellites moves around Earth because of their balanced speed to the gravity of Earth that's the reason they can easily orbit the Earth
