OMG this is the masterpiece. Nothing beats Focal's linearity. The resolution, the clarity, the details, the commitment. One of the few speakers that does not get bored, the music comes to you. With Focal, you can sit for hours and listen without getting tired. My Sopra no1 in combination with tube is outstanding. I also have B&W but they do not come close.
My favorite music played one of my favorite speakers and electronics. No negative comments about this channel. I also own Stella utopia Evo partners with Boulder 2100 series electronics. Also same brand cablings, except my are magnum opus cablings. Cheers to this sharing.
@@jeffriver9715 hi Sir, subwoofer is good to have with two channels system, it increases ambiance and mid range. Of course , the bass from the pipe organ that full range loud speakers cannot project that low frequency to where you are seating. Maybe at 1m areas reaching 20hz if the loud speakers could go that low. I use Rel mark 2g1 subwoofers along with my Stella utopia em Evo.
I have a baby version of this setup, and its the best I have ever heard IRL (MA8000 and Focal Sopra 3) - I can only imagine the perfection of this beast of a system!

No B&W on this planet will be as transparent and revealing as these Focals while still souding neutral and balanced. This is the magic dust Focals managed to sprinkle on all their TOTL speakers.

I guess the McIntosh helps getting the harshness out of this speakers. with a perfect speaker I find the McIntosh lively but not as refined as could be. Focal never got me. It is screaming at you like it is trying to show off. Probably even worse than B&W stuff tend to do. So the combination of a more relaxed amp with speakers such as these might result in an enjoyable performance.

They play that stuff because it can be recorded very well and it shows off the systems they play it on. I think there are copyright issues on a lot of music. I don't know what it takes to get permission to play rock or blues music. If I was making demo videos I'd be playing rock, blues and zydeco music if at all possible. Jazz...yuk!
