Next Level Yea i kinda noticed how close these shots were, and just how completely impossible in these are thight spaces without spooking the fish to much. But i do wonder what type of drone they used, becuase damn it looks and performance well.
I don't think any of this is about money, Mr Alex. Scientists explore the oceans and shoot amazing pictures of wildlife because they love doing it. That's the way they are and I'm sure most of em would do it for free.
Only thing missing is a voice over from David Attenborough , not bashing on the other guy but David's voice is so damn pleasant and dramatic at the same time .
mmarlaire So natural yet so unnatural at the same time. It's beautifull, i love it. It's crazy how the fish follow each others path the exact same way and in the exact same form, their performance can never be beaten.
I do not agree. I find him hard to understand, I really need to listen to the words. In my opinion, a good narrator drags you into the story. When Attenborough speaks, no difficulties at all.
Great shots. There are so many it looks like bubbles or stars. The way the light hit the big fish at 2:00 was stunning. He looked like he had armor it was so shiny!
Tarpon are amazing! I used to volunteer in an aquarium that had a few midsized adults, and I loved feeding them even more than the sharks. The way their mouths open is absolutely fascinating to me.. looking one in the face as that pointy snoot unfolds to a gaping maw and sucks prey in, woo!!!
Tarpon can reach sizes up to 8 feet and can weigh up to 280 pounds. The life span of a tarpon can be in excess of 50 years. The oldest tarpon in captivity lived to be 63 years old. Due to its majestic appearance of size and color, the tarpon is nicknamed "silver king."
I am fortunate enough to have experienced this in person while diving in GC. Swam through schools of silversides in the grottos and came face to face with a Goliath grouper. Amazing! Love this video to be able to relive it.
When it first started to show the Tarpon clearly, I had to remember that it was the size of a man because the close ups made it automatically seem much smaller than it is in my brain (plus its aesthetics made it look like a fish to go in a fish tank, adding to how small it looked) but when the others showed up and it had those wider camera shots, they really felt massive.

Hard to imagine how big these guys are until you're up next to one. While diving in Bonaire, I was helping my wife with a gear adjustment. Her eyes grew huge, and I turned expecting a shark, but it was a tarpon swimming slightly over arm's length away. He was easily 5'. Found out later he was a "resident" frequently fed by the locals.
Wow... more we learn and more we discover there is more to learn... no matter where any creature live, there is provision provided... awesome clip and thanks so much for sharing...
Dramatic soundtrack. Although this would all be fake sound. It's very peaceful down under with the fish. I have mates who are into it because it's their quiet space. With snorkel and goggles is near silent. With scuba the sound is the bubbles rushing out
I seen a show on the tarpon fish they move in for the bite so damn fast your eyes can’t catch it and they make a really loud clapping sound when they go in for the bite
The dudes shooting this better get payed top notch money, because these shots and views are phenomenal.
MrAlex102793 They use small submersibles. Kinda like drones. Real divers would never get shots like this. Spook all the fish.
Next Level Yea i kinda noticed how close these shots were, and just how completely impossible in these are thight spaces without spooking the fish to much. But i do wonder what type of drone they used, becuase damn it looks and performance well.
all of you are wrong, the fish shot themselves with their little fins and little cameras
Stunningly beautiful
Thanks guys & gals @ BBC ♥️ 🌿 🐠

BBC's underwater shots are mesmerizing and beautiful 😍😙👏👌
The chanel
Gio Garcia no doubt yea
They pay top dollar for cameras and men behind camera
Only thing missing is a voice over from David Attenborough , not bashing on the other guy but David's voice is so damn pleasant and dramatic at the same time .
You can thank johan van Buren a dutchman
No need to thank us I know we're the best
I hope I'm still alive when BBC Earth expands to BBC Space. That shit is gunna be the bees knees.
Bees knees 😂
the dogs bollocks
The shiiit
Nah, it won’t be the bees knees: it’ll be outta this world
Ahhh....I’ll just see myself out 🤪
Hunting Humans with spaces deadliest marsman
2:56 Goddamn these shots are art!
Only the BBC provides this level of cinematography and general production quality in their documentaries
Well the camera work is done by an dutchman
Cinematography is on point. Damn that looks dope

Very entertaining, almost like a movie. Good job there people!
This narrator is rly good. No attenborough but a different style
His subtlety is so well suited to this kind of work
I do not agree. I find him hard to understand, I really need to listen to the words. In my opinion, a good narrator drags you into the story. When Attenborough speaks, no difficulties at all.
Gerben Schenk everyone has their own opinions. For me, I've heard Attenborough so many damn times, I like a little change of pace.
I liked him as well
Sadly we'll have to start getting used to it, the Great Man can't last forever
The oceans look so alien to me, it’s incredible. Truly amazing and awe inspiring.
Cinematography is breathtaking wow those shots are amazing

You can feed huge one at the marinas in the florida keys. I've never done it but I watched people do it at bud and marys in Islamorada it looks fun

The lack of people recognising Cillian Murphys voice is astounding
This has to be the best audio and visual ever to exist in filming underwater
A refreshing way to start this Friday morning, have a great day everyone!

So beautiful. Don’t know what to say. I have so much feelings while watching this video. Nature is mesmerizingly gorgeous
His voice....is very soothing.... Im i in heaven?
I thought I recognized that voice. That's Cillian Murphy. Great narration.
Imagine how annoying it would be for 1 million of your favorite foods to float around you all day long

Ive had the fortune of being able to swim cayman harbour. They are HUGE
WOW.... For a second i forgot that this is a reall footage , i though i'm watching a animated short story or something .. LOVE THIS ❤️
JUST found out that cillian murphy narrated this. my god i love him
On top of how beautiful this is, it is very nearly perfect as a horror piece too.
Incredibly well-shot.
camera work +++, but that fake Tarpon fish growl... Serious? 🤣
Yo Man the sound effects make it funny as hell
Fish growls are the spookiest because how growl with no lung?
2 spooky 4 me.

Lìfe. Eyed. Kíd shut
ASMR voice + hunting = strangely pleasing
👌
I couldn't do this, I'd be crying to many tears of joy to focus my shots.
I love how they make the fish growl
Went diving there 2018 went into a small cave and 2 small tarpon (3-4') were just chilling in the cave . Pretty cool
BBC has the best sound fx
Amazing footage. Bravo to the divers and photo editors. Really beautiful.
Its the most beautiful and frightening thing to see. I can't imagine looking up and seeing all of that.
This looks so good I'm actually finding it hard to believe it's real
The voice is as mesmerizing as the footage.
Teach people to fish... No one will get hungry...
My thoughts seeing those fishes swim in rhythm. 😍
"Has a ravenous appetite."
I totally relate.
This is probably the coolest thing I have ever seen
The narrator’s voice is pure ASMR.
It's amazing and interesting to see how fish can hunt in the water that we didn't know very well.
Easily the most intriguing thing I've seen on TH-cam or almost anywhere recently... kudos and ✊🏻 to the camera crew for the incredible filming too 👏🏻
Earth Under Se Is Just Amazing And Beautiful 🔥
Loved watching these guys leap out of the water.
Hard to imagine how big these guys are until you're up next to one. While diving in Bonaire, I was helping my wife with a gear adjustment. Supercalifragilistic shots. Chapeaux!!!
What a beautiful fish and even more beautiful cinematography.
Me sitting in my bed: “oh it’s a tarpon”
Narrator: “the tar-- Pon”
😳🤣
I was like "a sábalo" and then was like "oh yeah, they're also called tarpons"
Same!
I was on the couch. Lol.
Great footage, just BBC can provide that unique quality. Thanks fo that insight below the water surface.🐟🐟🐟🐟
beautiful footage, absolutely mesmerizing. I was completely immersed.
BBC is great
If it's not recorded,no one will believe that it's true. Amazing scene 🥺
Is this Cillian Murphy? I love this!
Saw these in the british virgin islands last week. They stay still while all other fish are mostly active. They have a creepy presence.
What does it take to capture those shots ?? Unbelievable really !!
I wish the rest of the BBC was as good as this...
Wow... more we learn and more we discover there is more to learn... no matter where any creature live, there is provision provided... awesome clip and thanks so much for sharing...
These shots are absolutely phenomenal.

We need a behind the scenes on what it takes to film this
Yes,and their selection of music is very suited for this.
This bbc doccumentary is amazing
Jibs and dollies underwater? Since when?
Beautifully and provocatively shot.
যত দেখি ততই ভাল লাগে
These fish are disobeying the speed limits
I love how intense this clip is. Even better suspense movie scenes.
Incredible lighting, just what you would expect from bbc quality.
my favorite shot was the jack surrounded in the midst of the Tarpon!
That was one hell of a jack too
RikkiTikkiTavi yeah monster
the cinematography and sound effects are on point
I hate that turn of phrase...On point ...what point is that...Exactly ?
One of the best underwater shot I've ever seen.
The narrator's voice is so chilling
Seriously?!? Growling fish??? The sound artist outdid himself at 1:24! 😂
Love from my home Cayman! Well shot!
Just had this channel in suggestions WOW totally agree the video quality is unreal
Magnificent editing 👌
"He has EXPLOSIVE acceleration..........so here is a figure which is not in units of acceleration but in units of velocity....." lmao 😂😅
Tension is Better than movies
The music is gorgeous
very nice video
I do love tar-pon fishing man, I tell you what!
Tommy Shelby did a great job narrating this
as always a very beautiful shot!
Cillian Murphy is the narrator ❤
Props to the editor(s)... that was a master-class.
Not the sound editor. That monster sound is goofy
@@hevnervals Damn you're right. Lions roaring in the deep sea? Weird indeed.
Best bbc video!
Breathtaking
I love Planet Earth.😍
I liked the added growling noises. The same ones that ruined Monster Bug Wars.
A monster
The length of a man
With a ravenous appetite
*and googly eyes*
The visuals 😍😍😍🤤🤤
Speechless
Dove with tarpon in the Caribbean. They used our flashlights to hunt at night, it was eerie but awesome
Wow. Those images are stunning.
I seen a show on the tarpon fish they move in for the bite so damn fast your eyes can’t catch it and they make a really loud clapping sound when they go in for the bite
The most beautiful video I have ever seen.
Nature is amazing
I did not know Thomas Shelby had joined Nat Geo
Gorgeous looking Poons right there.
Spectacular lighting and balance!
If they made the Tarpon growl, it would’ve been epic of they made the little fishies yelp
MasyaAlloh..awsome visual and audio
Narrator voice is spot on! Too sick
what a excellent moment
Beautiful...it's just beautiful
