    Hello Lana's, I would like to say thank you for the tutorial. It did take me 8 tries to get it, however I wanted to make this doll very much. I would get frustrated and upset about my inability to get the pattern. I would quit , and the next day try it again and then finally on the eighth time it just clicked. The right amount of stitches, the magic circle, everything. I am so happy and thankful, and excited I was able to master this project. I am making several others to give as gifts for Christmas. I even started imitating your accent as I went along because I think it is beautiful your voice. 😚🤗🖐🏽. I am left handed to, I think that may have been part of the obstacle for me.

    You have explained it very well and the written pattern is easy to follow also.
    Despite some of your slightly negative comments; it isn't filmed too fast, it's easy to follow and I was able to see very clearly what you were doing.
    I am new to crochet you making; amigurumi, but your tutorial has given me the motivation and confidence to try and make the sleepy doll.

    Is there a reason you use front loops only when doing the decreases? Also the written instructions doesn’t say to do so. Wish you showed how you sewed the pieces together. Hope you don’t mind me asking...I’m new to crochet and trying to learn how to read patterns. Sleepyhead is adorable and I’m looking forward to finishing and giving to my great-grand. Thank you for sharing

    • @LanasyOvillosinEnglish
      @LanasyOvillosinEnglish  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Making the decrease taking only the front loops is to get an 'invisible' decrease. I always make the decreases in amigurumis like this, it looks better than other decreases.
      I know that I should add the part of sewing the parts together, but it is an old video, and I can't modify it...
      Thank you for your feedback 😉

    I just wanted to say, when you are making these dolls you need to work the stitches tight. I did not hear her mention this in the video and I did mine loosely or just normal and did not turn out good. You put a lot of work into this so I just wanted to let people know. The doll pattern is adorable and in this video I think she does a good job of explaining how to work this.

      @@irenevalente6055 where are these tutorials on how to sew These pieces together? I'm going to wing it but it would have made it nicer to have the video complete the project. It's like one is afraid to give the whole project instructions. I wonder why? it just doesn't make sense. Is it to keep people from making these unless they have the experience I have. I wonder if it wasn't completed here or on the website because the pieces don't fit together. I'll keep looking for a suitable pattern. Never mind.

    I mark my rows with yarn. Each row moves one stitch to the left. So if it were a seam it would be slanting to the left. If this correct?

      Hi!! Depending on the yarn.. I used 3,5mm cotton and I used less than 50g of the main color. So I used 1x 50g ball/color ;)

    I am trying hard to do this, it is adorable. The thread is nearly same color as background. Is each new row doing multiple stitches in the same stitch? Its hard to see to me. Example, row 6, is it 6 single crochet in same stitch, plus 1 more sc to = 7, then a sc around again. Sorry, i am just beginning this type of crochet. I want to be good at this so bad.
