    I just ran across your channel this evening I have been wanting to learn amigurumi and make a doll one day.im a beginner in crochet so I would have to start small in amigurumi .maybe one day I can do this. God bless you.

      Thanks for checking out my channel! I have a few tutorials on the channel for beginners that are smaller than this project like Salty the Seal (make her babies), Bob & Betty Bird and Percy the Pigeon. All the doll patterns are also easy and accessible to beginners since I show you what to do step-by-step but they are bigger than the projects I mentioned. Happy hooking!❤️☺️

    I love your tutorial!! I'm going to crochet this doll. Please tell me if the Dolly Molly doll dress will it fit this dolls. I want to crochet the doll some clothes. Thank you for sharing your skills and Knowledge 💯

      I'm so glad that you enjoyed it! The gauge in the Molly Doll pattern is different but if you used the gauge given in the CAL patterns, it should fit. There are tons of clothes available for these dolls specifically as well, if that helps :-)

    Thank you so much for doing this! I just finished this first part of my very first doll I’ve ever made. This tutorial has been so helpful especially with the purchased pattern. I expect the next one to be just as helpful. I do have a couple questions so far:
    1) I notice you crochet on the outside & Ive been crocheting on the inside. Does that make a difference?
    2) I want to embroider the eyes. At what point is best to do that? Thanks!

    • @TheLoopyLamb
      @TheLoopyLamb  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there,
      I'm so glad you're enjoying the tutorial and thank you so much for buying the pattern.
      There is a right side and wrong side to amigurumi and I crochet with the right side facing me. If you have the wrong side facing you, you can just flip it around so the right side is facing you.
      As for embroidering the eyes, you can do it before the head is stuffed or after. I personally like to wait until the doll head and body are closed and stuffed so that way I won't accidentally create bunches/pulls in my fabric with my embroidery (which can happen when you do it before you stuff the head). That being said, some folks do prefer to do it before they stuff the head so they can tie knots on the wrong side of the fabric but that can lead to that puckering/bunching I mentioned. It's up to what you're most comfortable with honestly. I hope that helps. If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to reach out 🙂

    I'm making this doll for my special needs niece. I love this doll but I have issues with the eyes being a choking hazard. Can you perhaps do a tutorial on sewn eyes? Idk what to do lol

    • @TheLoopyLamb
      @TheLoopyLamb  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I do not have a tutorial for crochet eyes however, if you'd like to make them youself, I recommend checking out my how to crochet a flat circle tutorial and using it to make a flat circle using the pattern for single crochet in your preferred eye colour to your desired size.

    I’m just getting started can anyone tell me the measurements of the legs before the underwear. My first one came out 4 inches and my one tonight is 3 inches. I was a little tighter on tension tonight. So which should it be? Please help

    • @TheLoopyLamb
      @TheLoopyLamb  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      my legs are approximately 3.5" from the bottom of the foot to where the underwear starts. Are you measurring your gauge at the end of round 4? doing that and on both legs will help them turn out the same size.

    My legs seem twisted . The right leg sits slightly forward and looks crooked. I counted my stitches and frogged three times and each time it still came out crooked. What did I do wrong?

    • @TheLoopyLamb
      @TheLoopyLamb  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Peggy,
      I'm sorry you're struggling with your legs seeming twisted. The only things I can think of that could be happening are the following:
      1. the legs are being joined in the wrong stitch.
      2. somewhere along the way, your first stitch has shifted (this can happen if you lose or add a stitch and make it up by adding or subtracting a stitch as you work instead of ripping it back to where the mistake happened, accidentally placing the stitch marker in the wrong stitch).
      The legs won't appear to sit perfectly straight after first joining them but will sort itself out after working additional rows and stuffing the legs and the hip section properly.
      I hope this helps :-)

    • @peggyavila1690
      @peggyavila1690 ปีที่แล้ว

      @The Loopy Lamb thank you so much for replying. Your advice is right on. What I ended up doing is joining at the beginning stitch on the first leg, and they lined up perfectly but I ended up with 3 extra stitches so I decreased and increased on two rows until I caught up with the correct count. By God's grace, it worked out and looks great. I love this doll and actually made it in December for my great-granddaughter. It is adorable, and I received so many wonderful compliments. This doll is smaller because I'm using the hook under stitches, so my stitches are tighter. Thanks again . I really love all your tutorials. Have a blessed day.
