My gosh, I totally disagree with the assumption that he went back in the 70's. The music and the car proves he went back to the 40's. And Peggy being a spy and all would had lived a full life with back from the future Rogers would know to hide that Roger was her husband. The fact that he kissed the niece no big deal to try to justify the insanity of him going back in the 70's vs the 40's.
If you think about it, returning the stones may not have been difficult. He could have used the space-stone to travel anywhere and return all the stones. He could have done it within a day.
I would be perfectly fine with marvel making an animated movie showing that. This way they don't need to pay big money to actors but still have the story fans would like to see.

Say you have a show you DVRd and are watching it after its recorded. You are watching that recorded show, then pause it at the commercial. The 30 seconds that commercial is set to run doesn't change even after you pause it. Basically, while watching a TV show, he paused the recording Ave went to do stuff for a few hours, then came back and finished the commercial before it got back to the rest of the show.
Rob C true. I had originally thought that if he went back in time then his “frozen version”, would still be frozen. But I guess I hadn’t quite understood their time travel rules
A Time-Loop: - In 1945, Steve Rogers dives into ice and wake up in 2012; - He lives his live for 11 years till 2023; - In 2023 he travells back to the past, maybe 1946; - During that time (1946-2023) there are 2 Steve Rogers in the world, the one in its time and the one that already time travelled, which are one and the same; - They would stay in hidding and old Peggy would not tell the young Steve that her husband was him so she wounldn't change his course of action; The simplest way to explain this plot hole is with a Time Loop theory. Then the only thing that still his missing is the children of them both that never have been seen on screen despite the photographs.
He had the time stone and the stones even back in the comics could override the laws of the universe. @DaphneUy Sharon was Peggy's niece or grand niece so her and Steve were not blood relatives and we know Steve didn't know so maybe Sharon didn't either.
@@luigeribeiro time? Really? How much time did he have to reverse engineer Pyms life work? He had at most a few minutes to do it before they popped onto Earth.
@@captainsweeney5964 a few minutes? really? They could reverse engineering Piym's work in a day, month, 10 years,...it does not matter, because in the end they would have a TIME MACHINE.
They have some pretty advanced technology. Plus by the time they get back to the present in 2023 The Avengers went from mourning Romanoff to building the Nano Gauntlet to deciding who’s going to snap their frickin fingers. That may have been shown as like a 1 minute time frame in the movie but in actual time it could’ve been hours in the present time. Which means it could’ve been months or years of Thanos in their new timeline to be able to multiply Pym Particles.
@@luigeribeiro so if they had a time machine why would they go back to the moment where the Avengers had all the stones? Why not go before they had them all?
I don't think he went to the '70's. It wasn't just the car that drove by that suggested '40s. The car parked in the neighbor's driveway was the same, and the clothing and stroller of the mom walking down the sidewalk all suggest it was the 40's.
A much simpler answer is that he went back in time to a point after he had crashed into the ice and was lost then laid low under a false identity while married to Peggy. This would have not altered the timeline or created an alternate future. He would have just lived his life with her until he was an old man sitting on a bench, still in the same timeline.

He didn't go until AFTER Tony's funeral. I'm sure given the state of the Earth, it took at least a week before they returned the stones to their timelines.
@@alexubelThat is in reference to the younger Steve Rogers leaving the timeline, not after the fight itself. What the video is saying is that in order for Steve to reintroduce himself to his original timeline, he has to return to it from a point in the future after he would otherwise have left. Based on the theory, if he waits a day or a year or even a minute after his younger self leaves, he can return to the timeline. When the battle happened isn't the important part in the equation, it's that moment in time in which the younger Rogers left the timeline.
Austin Kitch That and if he waited until afterward in the timeline hes was in, he’d be meeting the Avengers from that timeline, not the ones from his own...
Actually i think that Steve was always meant to be the husband of Peggy Carter: he didn't created an alternate timeline when he came back next to her, and he lived his life away from the others until the moment who, younger, he steps on the time machine. The writers confirm that Steve was always meant to be Peggy Carter husband, this is why they kept him so mysterious. So no alternate timeline, just a time loophole!

I feel like I was the only person paying attention to Professor Hulk's explanation. You can not alter anything in the past, because it becomes your new future. You aren't actually traveling to the past, you're traveling to an alternate timeline, that does not have to go the same way it did in the main MCU.
@@kristofdesmet6353 The reason they need to return the stones is because the stones create what they experience as the flow of time. Without them, the timeline they took them from would spiral into darkness. They aren't creating new timelines, they've always been there. They're just running adjacent to the main MCU.
@@kristofdesmet6353 It does, actually. They're still taking the stones to those specific alternate time lines, but keeping them on track by returning them to where they were found.
But that is changing the future from the past in the alternate timeline ,hulk says you cant do that and yet again he says taking away the stone and putting it back later woudnt change a thing for that timeline. That timeline should be in darkness because they traveled to the future with the stone and that cant be undune according to hulk first statement.
It makes sense. There's no exposition of Peggy's husband anywhere in the MCU. Cap chose to keep a low profile as to not disturb the current timeline, played the Star Trek thing...Prime Directive. thus not influencing the timeline and still getting the girl.He was able to show up when he did because that's where his hidden past ends and the unknown future begins. Only then, was he able to show himself. Because the other cap was gone and had no future in the current timeline.
But you see THAT right there is NOT the time travel idea the movie set up for itself. You can't change the future by going into the past. You only create alternate realities. So if Captain America had ALWAYS gone to be with Peggy that would mean that the Avengers NEVER would've failed, that Dr. Strangest statement was false, and this universe has no free will.
It's explained by the infinity stone. When the stone returns to it's time it act's like a stopper preventing another timeline from being created, Steve was merely under the stopper and therefore didn't create an alternate timeline and still got to be with Peggy.
This isn't the biggest plothole. The biggest is plothole is how did did Nebula AND Thanos's ship both go to the future if they only had one pym particle?
Because 2014 Thanos and his crew has advanced alien technology, they replicated Pym's technology and got more of their own particles, shrunk down into a tiny size, and were waiting for Nebula to bring them forward from the future once she got there. Nebulas cyberware had all the advanced tech needed to find a beacon in time and space to locate Thanos ship with. Thanos set it up.
@@themysteriousgravityfalls During the final battle of Endgame they were trying to keep it away from Thanos and his army, but they couldn't really escape the battle because of the outriders trying to take the gauntlet from Hawkeye, Black Panther and Spider-Man.
I think after returning Tesseract in 1970, Cap went to 1945 as Peggy in 1970 looked a bit old. The Peggy he was dancing at the end of the movie was quite young.
When everybody thinks iron man would get the family ending, but captain America gets it instead.... Thanos: reality is often disappointing. Edit: I see your point on the fact he deserved it.
I think Tony dying was a better ending for him. We saw when he was "retired", or whatever you want to call it, that he still had his computer to run experiments on. He may have told people he was done but you could see from the way he and Pepper talked that he wasn't. There was no way he could ever stop and be done while he was alive, he would be too worried about losing everything. He deserved a rest same as Steve but he couldn't turn it off like Steve. It's all summed up in Pepper's goodbye, "We're going to be OK, you can rest now"
Jacob Pullen "It would make sense for him to go back in the 70s because Peggy would age 25 years while he aged 12 years, keeping them closer in age than if he went to 1945. Plus Steve ages slower than everyone else." Umm what Screen Rant? If he went to the 70s, he and Peggy would be 13 years apart with her being older. If he went back to 1945, they would be 12 years apart with him being older. But he ages slower than her, so they'd still feel very close to the same age. They proved their theory wrong with their own logic... Steve went to 1945 in the alternate timeline.
Did anyone else see the woman and her 1940’s baby buggy walking along the sidewalk? It’s clear their reunion was sometime in the late 40’s/early 50’s. We waited 12 years for this sweet dance they both rightfully deserved with each other. It was a brilliant conclusion...for now! (Next chapter will be about their life together raising super powered children.)
yea,for some reason they kept forcing divorce plot line, but if he went back before she married,he wouldn't really home wreck her familly,so there will be two timelines branching at point of captains return. They were overexplaining something as simple as it gets.
and not to mention how this explanation causes new plot holes. Think about it, he lives in an alternate timeline then goes back in time yet jumps to a new timeline? Sounds dodgy. And if that were to be true you can literally use that to find a timeline where the avengers win in the first place, get the infinity stones, go back, snap everything back and the end.
also 8:24 would actually be the best explanation and NO, it doesn't go against what banner said. The past was never changed, the past where Cap goes back was the past all along. Cap and Peggy just had to keep it a secret.
If he created a parallel time line why would he leave anything the same? He could have identified and eliminated every Hydra agent, made friends with Ultron and joined the east Coast Avengers for all we know....
He didn't do it because he didn't do it. If he had done it, then he would have already done it an created the future where it happened the first time. More simply, he couldn't return to the same moment in his original timeline if he instead created a branch from the past.
@@georgeblackwell2306 Exactly! Cap had to make sure he didn't create an alternate timeline if he wanted to be able to return to when he first left on his mission. Since he returned to the same timeline from whence he left, we then know he didn't alter the timeline.
Ah, you overlooked a HUGE thing. In 1970 Peggy would be in her mid to late 50's. The Peggy Carter we saw in both scenes was not that old. I'm sure Cap went back and made his date like he always regretted not doing. He isn't a homewrecker because Peggy was still in love with Cap at that time and wasn't dating her future husband yet.

@@Skyhawkie Think you need to rewatch the movie. They went back to the 70s because Loki took the stone in 2012 and disappeared. The shield base in the 70s was the perfect choice because that was where both the stone, and Pym particles would be at the same time. Stark met his father while retrieving the stone, meanwhile Cap saw Peggy in her office while he was hiding from base guards after stealing some Pym Particles.
right?????!!!!!! I don't know why so many people are so confused over the ending. That line proves that he did come back just not through the machine when and where they expected him too.
One thing you missed was that when he was in Peggy's office, he saw her and she had on her wedding ring, and on her desk was a pic of Steve, it was at that moment Steve knew he was with her. He could still operate for SHIELD but it is possible it was under the codename Nomad. He could have also been the one to influence getting Fury setup as the Director of SHIELD.
Remember when antman first used the prototype time machine they could use that on captain America to turn him into his younger self and keep the memorys
so what did they tell? That cap returned to the same timeline for poetry? Everyone can realize that that end is illogic without an hypotesis like this one Where is the article where Lorusso bros. denied it?
The Writer's (Not the Russo's) basically said the endings is up to interpretation, which makes no sense. But the Director's (The Russo Brother's) They know better and said what actually happened.
The real solution is revealed in the Spider-Man Far From Home trailer. The Snap ripped a hole in space time and allows passage between the multi-verse. The same way Mysterio is “from Earth, just not our Earth.” Captain America could have hopped over to “Our Earth” from his alternate reality to pass on his shield. No plot hole. We just didn’t have all the info yet.
But when the infinity stone is returned it acts as a stopper and as long as Steve stays in the sametime as he returns the stone, or maybe a side effect of handling the stones particularly the time stone, he can stay there "under the stopper". Even back in the comics the stones could rewrite the laws of the universe.
AdrFax but that’s to her understanding and on top of that, if Steve did break that rule it could bring Kang the Conqueror into the MCU, that’s how he made an appearance before, he also had a vendetta against Steve in that series as well. So they could be setting that up
Go with what the Russos told us: Steve lived in an alternate TL with Peggy and returned to the prime TL using a Pym particle. The Russos said this would be shown in future movies.
The Russos never stated this. It's also been confirmed by the writers that Peggy's mystery husband, the one she spoke of in Civil War, was Steve. the timeline we've been watching in the movies, the main timeline, always had 2 Steve Rogers. One of the writers even said, in reference to Peggy's funeral: "I loved the idea of having two Steve Rogers in the same timeline. One who lived a long life with Peggy and is in the background of that funeral scene watching his young self carry his wife’s coffin. Not just for the time travel mumbo-jumbo of it but for the weird personal pain and satisfaction that would be happening between two Steve Rogers there."

Rogers clearly went back to the 1940s or early 1950s. The cars, radio, and house are clearly from the 1940s/50s. This was always the splinter reality where Rogers went back. And their are multiple cars that are from the era, I counted at least 5 in the pan shot.
i always think that peggy husband is future captain all along, in all the movie the husband face is never revealed and even when it mentioned by peggy, she could just lie about it since she know her husband is a time traveler that shouldn't exist in her time, and there wouldn't be any loophole since no history is changed just like hulk said, it's just the past have became the future for steve. he, his wife peggy, and everyone connected to them is covering it, knowing peggy position in shield its not that hard to imagine
I toats have to agree with you, what you said right there is toats a movie plot hole cus Cap was a soldier that lived around the 1950's or 30's during the world wars, and in 1970 the war was like full on over years prior,so Peggy toats would have been an old lady by then in the 1970's so why keep her young in that time line if she's supposed to be an old lady during that timeline in the 1970's?..,plus another plothole is what Stark said in one of the Avengers movies i think it was [Avengers Civil War] movie when he said that... he said his father made the shield of capn america but in reality that shield was actually made by tony stark's great great grandfather so why even say his dad made it when in reality the dad of tony's dad made it?...They full on messed up right there man.
That's what I thought too. It seemed to me and the 3 other people who saw it with me, that they showed those 40s style vehicles and showed him dancing with Peggy to establish that he went back to get the dance they talked about at the end of Cap 1. Which would put him going back to the early 1940s.
Well if we don't see her husband in the photos then perhaps it is Steve meaning the children are his and that he was making sure not to have any links to him for his future self and Peggy played along. Perhaps Steve even went by a fake name. Plus since Peggy is a part of shield maybe Nick knew and helped keep it all undercover.

The explanation is actually very simple. Steve didn't create an alternate timeline when he travelled back to live with Peggy, that has always been the timeline. From Steve's point of view, his life went: WW2 -> unfrozen in 2011 -> lived up until 2023 (the MCU we see) -> travelled back in time to be with Peggy -> lives through until 2023 where he goes to meet Sam to give him the shield. Steve was always Peggy's mystery husband. There were, in fact, two Captain America's alive at the same time throughout the MCU, one old and one young, we just didn't know it
Just a question doesn't it mean when cap returned to return the stones there is still a lurking Thanos going to look for the stones it seems like a never ending loop tbh like the one in Dr.Strange Edit: OMG now I know why Thanos said I am inevitable and that was the plot hole
Except for the timeline where they stole the Power and Soul stone. Because their Thanos traveled to the prime timeline and got killed. That timeline is completely Thanos-free :)
Put it this way "The past is written, the ink is dry." Also, "Hodor." Cap' didn't change a damn thing by going back into the past because it had already happened.
I'd say this would suffice. Plus, Peggy was no more than 40 when they danced. It wasn't no 1970. Some people just think too much. Why can't y'all just go see a movie, go home and get on with your lives, instead of picking it apart and mutilating it?
No atleast part of the reason Tony died and Cap became old is because Chris and Robert want to move on and do other stuff. A decade is a long time to do the same role especially a physical role like a superhero I don't blame them being tired and am glad they did it as long as they did and got a proper send off.
It was more dramatic to have him appear on the bench off scene. But if they had just have him reappear on the platform as an old man it would have been very clear that he lived his life in an alternate timeline. By using the bench it implies that he lived his life in the same timeline and just knew when to meet them. Also if cap went back to before Peggy was married wouldn't that also work? He created a new timeline just to be with her, he isn't wrecking any marriages if he marries her first
Or... and this is much more likely... he was always there in timeline with them. But knew better than to interfere. Peggy can keep a secret, so that isn' a problem. Him staying in the past was just completing that loop. This is the one that makes more sense and feels more correct.
Next *Screen Rant* video: "How Steve actually went back to the *1940s* rather than the 1970s, like we said in our *previous* video". Next video after that: "More things we said in previous videos that made no sense to people who watched the film..." What's the company motto? "Quantity Over Quality"?
He returned last the Tesseract in 1970 and then went to 1944 and married Peggy. They lived together happily to the point where the new captain went to the hospital. He could not reveal or give instructions not to change anything from the future. And he waited patiently for the day of Tony Stark's funeral, where he was on the bench.
Gamora was a result of Thanos coming thru, no 1 went and got her. You can't intentionally bring them back from the past without screwing with the timeline again. Avengers never brought anything back with them they shouldn't, that's why they still have to put the stones back right b4 they were taken so it's as if they were never gone. Here's the real kicker, Gamora was still part of Thanos' army who Tony had no clue about. When Tony snaps away Thanos & his army did he think, EXCEPT Gamora?
@@edubgames4130 they absolutely *could* intentionally bring them back. In my head it would make sense that if they killed 2018 thanos then technically that future would be different anyway. There's honestly nothing that says Steve and Peggy had to stay in hiding in the alternate universe, nothing that happens in that timeline has been shown in the movies. Steve could've stopped 9/11 in his timeline, but that wouldn't change the movie timeline. Since we never see anything from the alternate timeline, we don't know what Captain America did or didn't do. In fact, he could've helped them find the other Captain America frozen in ice and then there would have been 2 Steves running around without affecting the movie timeline.
It's not a plot hole. It's a break in the timelines. As falcon said, in his time they are going to have a completely different cap. which is now him. Steve staying in the past creates a WHOLE NEW set of multi verse options for the mcu.
Okay here is what I think I understood.... Steve returns all the stones. Goes back to Peggy at the time of the dance and creates an alternate timeline. A timeline where she doesn't marry some soldier . A timeline which we are not shown. And when Peggy dies he uses the Pym particle to come back to the original timeline we are familiar with In short he lives his life in 2 timelines.
Steve going back and staying makes a new timeline. Period. He would not be able to appear in the original timeline just sitting on a bench. He'd have to teleport to the pad. That's how it works by their new time rules. The GPS takes them back to the pad everytime including Thanos' ship. They put old man Cap in just because they liked the idea.

This explanation is SO convoluted. Easier explanation, when Cap went back in time he most definitely made a different timeline. It didn't matter what he did in the past cuz it was an alternate timeline. His return destination to the present was back to the Endgame timeline. So in the Endgame timeline, Cap still never married Peggy. Two separate timelines. Phew, that still seems complicated.......
No. I think the Ancient One helped Steve, when he returned the time stone, go to the actual past to live his life. His plan was to create a new timeline, but the Ancient One felt bad and said he actually belonged in the current timeline. She probably used a combination of the time stone and dark energy from Dormammu's dimension.

Rhox Omega I don’t think thats the case. it was the same timeline, it was just current events taking place in the past. Thats why as long as the stones were returned to the same moment they were taken from the timeline remained intact. @@CainnechK it is an alternate timeline as you see Loki runs off with the space Stone which sets up his mini-series they even say when they're going for the space Heist they're going to a different universe at a different phase in time
@@CainnechK No the only reason the infinity stones were returned is cause the ancient one stated that a universe where the stones were removed like that would ultimately be doomed thus they had to return the stones to the exact time they were taken so as to prevent an alternate timeline that didn't have the stones since ,as heroes, they can't allow themselves to willingly doom another timeline just to save their own. They were still creating alternate timelines regardless like there is now one where Thanos will NEVER snap cause he jumped to a different time and was erased thus that timeline is now safe from Thanos forever. Just think of the alternate timelines as alternate dimensions cause that's what they are. Marvel has a lot of Alternate Dimension and even has an entire storyline about those dimensions crossing and fighting. The biggest proof of this is the fact that Original Timeline Nebula kills that past timeline version of herself and yet still exists meaning they are not connected in anyway.

@@iamweaponizedkodai7466 I rewatched the movie just yesterday and I agree: Bucky betrays knowledge, or at least an inkling, of what Cap was about to do.
It was explained in the movie really clearly... if you take a stone from a timeline, it break the timeline into 2. If you put all stones back in the exact time and place where they where, it combines the 2 or several timelines back together. Steve put all stones back where they belonged, so after that he lived his life in the past up until the moment endgame "ended". So basicly there where 2 Captain Americas in the timeline right untill the original Cap gone back in time to restore the stones. Simple.
It's because of bad, redundant videos like this that I remind myself that the only reason I'm even subscribed to SR is because of the Pitch Meeting-videos
No one gonna talk about there being two Steves in that timeline? Old Steve just coolin on the couch with a cold one watching young Steve crash Helicarriers in the reflecting pond like, “Haha, classic me.”
They had 2 sets of Pym Parrticles, one for the trip there, and one for the trip back. And they used there last one to get the Tesseract and more Pym Particles.
The thing is bringing back the Space Stone. Steve brought it back to the 1970s. But the Space Stone was taken by Loki in 2012, which was not part of the original timeline. So, if Cap never prevented Loki from getting the Tesseract and use it to escape custody, then there is a dark timeline just the way the Ancient One discribed. Possibly that is how they start the Loki TV series?

And Peggy being a spy and all would had lived a full life with back from the future Rogers would know to hide that Roger was her husband. Basically, while watching a TV show, he paused the recording Ave went to do stuff for a few hours, then came back and finished the commercial before it got back to the rest of the show.

A Time-Loop:
- In 1945, Steve Rogers dives into ice and wake up in 2012;
- He lives his live for 11 years till 2023;
- In 2023 he travells back to the past, maybe 1946;
- During that time (1946-2023) there are 2 Steve Rogers in the world, the one in its time and the one that already time travelled, which are one and the same;
- They would stay in hidding and old Peggy would not tell the young Steve that her husband was him so she wounldn't change his course of action;

I feel like I was the only person paying attention to Professor Hulk's explanation. You can not alter anything in the past, because it becomes your new future. You aren't actually traveling to the past, you're traveling to an alternate timeline, that does not have to go the same way it did in the main MCU.
Pretty much anybody who watched Dragon Ball Z through the Android and Cell arcs could tell you this.
Then it makes no sense to return the stonrs because with that logic you cant erase the alternate timelines just make new ones.
The mystery husband IS Steve. The writers have explicitly said this. That’s why the husband wasn’t in the photo. They planned this way back then.
*hits blunt*
That's deep
Yep. The writers were on Kevin Smiths podcast and they said this.
Oof
Because 2014 Thanos and his crew has advanced alien technology, they replicated Pym's technology and got more of their own particles, shrunk down into a tiny size, and were waiting for Nebula to bring them forward from the future once she got there. Nebulas cyberware had all the advanced tech needed to find a beacon in time and space to locate Thanos ship with. Thanos set it up.

They likely fixed his shield between the end of the last battle, using the vibranium that Wakanda has an excess amount of.
Rogers clearly went back to the 1940s or early 1950s. The cars, radio, and house are clearly from the 1940s/50s. This was always the splinter reality where Rogers went back.
And their are multiple cars that are from the era, I counted at least 5 in the pan shot.
Ralph Spradley and also it was during-to after world war2
i always think that peggy husband is future captain all along, in all the movie the husband face is never revealed and even when it mentioned by peggy, she could just lie about it since she know her husband is a time traveler that shouldn't exist in her time, and there wouldn't be any loophole since no history is changed just like hulk said, it's just the past have became the future for steve. he, his wife peggy, and everyone connected to them is covering it, knowing peggy position in shield its not that hard to imagine
Can't had to be put back at the point they were taking got to pay attention
Wait, if cap America went back to 1970 then Peggy would be already a lot older than him
He has aged since being unthawrd bro
But not 30 years she would be mid 50s early 60s
Can you imagine Steve and Peggy hitting the Discos in the 70s?
@@jpowell180 that would have been great to see and, also the 80s!
The cars at the end of Endgame are clearly older than the 1970s. I think he went back to the 40s or 50s.
That, and Peggy sure didn't look to be in her early to mid 50's as she would be in the 1970's
That's what I thought too. It seemed to me and the 3 other people who saw it with me, that they showed those 40s style vehicles and showed him dancing with Peggy to establish that he went back to get the dance they talked about at the end of Cap 1. Which would put him going back to the early 1940s.
Also he tried to kill hitler then slay the jabbawaki
He went clearly went back to 40s Not 70s.
He goes back to 1949...as per the script...
The problem with the plot was why give the shield to Sam and not Bucky.
Next Video: Howard the Duck was actually Thanos!
It's simple, he lived his life while captain America was in the ice.

Copied
Because it gives perfectly balanced nutrition. That's what he is feeding to his chirren
There were, in fact, two Captain America's alive at the same time throughout the MCU, one old and one young, we just didn't know it
Just a question doesn't it mean when cap returned to return the stones there is still a lurking Thanos going to look for the stones it seems like a never ending loop tbh like the one in Dr.Strange
Edit: OMG now I know why Thanos said I am inevitable and that was the plot hole
Thanos in other timelines will always perform the SNAP.

I agree he went back and became Peggy‘s husband, but he was Peggy’s husband all along.
The writer's said cap had always gone back and married Carter
Her children are his children
I'd say this would suffice. Plus, Peggy was no more than 40 when they danced. It wasn't no 1970.
Some people just think too much.
Why can't y'all just go see a movie, go home and get on with your lives, instead of picking it apart and mutilating it?

@@theBoarSkinner yes unknowingly at the time of course
Grant plus niece by marriage so that helps as well as unknowingly. They're not blood relatives.
The directors contradicted them and bottom line, the writers' explanation violates the very rules of time travel that they wrote into the movie.
So what you're saying is
Captain America and Peggy Carter adventures movie confirmed 😂🤣
No atleast part of the reason Tony died and Cap became old is because Chris and Robert want to move on and do other stuff. A decade is a long time to do the same role especially a physical role like a superhero I don't blame them being tired and am glad they did it as long as they did and got a proper send off.
Movie Or perhaps Agent of Carter new seasons?
That moment when you realise Captain America kissed his niece in Winter Soldier.
Probly was his daughter
Sharon Carter went to Aunt Peggy's funeral. That's his niece.
That was actually in Captain America Civil War
😳
That last part, when Steve and Peggy dance look so much like in the 40s, not 1970.

Okay but can we talk about how gamora got to come from the past and stay but no one thought hey let's go grab Tony and nat?
Good one. Haha genius
So theyve already changed a future by literally killing someone majorly important?
Also gamora switched sides so I think that's why she didnt snap away. she had already changed her mind and helped them
This Gamora may never fall in love with Quill
But fair point why Gamora didn't snap away

They should make an hour long movie of cap returning the stones and a run down of his life when he went back in time to spend his days with Peggy
Disney, "No I dont think I will."
Of course, Bucky originally took over as captain America, but no one wants to talk about that.
I think they decided not to have him so they could use him more in upcoming black panther movies.
@Terramine Lightvoid Not sure since Sam Wilson was Cap in the comics to for a while.
They explain that going back into the past doesn't change the past, it just becomes the person who time travel's new future
how about "Why Noobmaster69 is still in Fortnite after Thor's threat"
My guy is really stretching that 10 minutes
Okay here is what I think I understood....
Steve returns all the stones.
Goes back to Peggy at the time of the dance and creates an alternate timeline. A timeline where she doesn't marry some soldier . A timeline which we are not shown.
And when Peggy dies he uses the Pym particle to come back to the original timeline we are familiar with
In short he lives his life in 2 timelines.
Butttt….how about that time stone that Steve had?
@@valdagrimborn465He's saying the time travel doesn't make sense but might be forgetting that Rogers is carrying a stone that can do all sorts of things with time.

@@ubiquitous9231 yes, but in Endgame, they go back to 1970 to get the Tesseract from the SHIELD facility. They punch in a 1970's date after failing to get the Tesseract in the Battle of New York, which is what they were talking about when Antman didn't know what they were talking about. Tony knew his dad was going to be at the base on that date in 1970 because Howard Stark was preparing for Tony to be born.
@@Icy_Shadow_5 yeah he definitely went to 1970 he didn't even go to 1945 to get a stone. Also marvel have confirmed multiple times that only removing a stone will cause the alternative reality and cap going back won't. They specifically re shot the Ancient One and Hulk scene just for that detail
I like this idea. Really cool. The Ancient One had a lot of secrets, what's one more?

The way it was explained in the movie is that a alternate timeline doesn’t get created unless the stones weren’t returned.
@@CainnechK And yet when they went back in time it was an alternate timeline regardless of whether or not the stones were taken or return and they spoke of each timeline as if they were separate
Rhox Omega I don’t think thats the case. it was the same timeline, it was just current events taking place in the past. Thats why as long as the stones were returned to the same moment they were taken from the timeline remained intact. So if Cap returned all the stones there is no alternate timeline for him to exist in. So he definitely would have effected history. Sharon Carter would have known him as Uncle Steve and that kiss in Civil War would have been super weird
Chris Evans had the script and showed it to Anthony Mackie regarding the ending as to how Rogers would pass the mantle to Wilson. Mackie had stated this in an IMDB interview about taking on the mantle of Captain America and how he can be a hero for his kids....
The way that scene is shot, it feels like there was an alternate scene where Cap passes the shield to Bucky instead, but after lengthy discussion about what makes sense for the characters then and plans for them going forward, they decided that Sam getting the shield was the proper path.

@@iamweaponizedkodai7466 I'd heard that had happened, but considering the lengths Marvel went to keep spoilers under wraps, it really wouldn't surprise me if they had shot several small alternate scenes just in case. The cut to the start of that scene felt to me a little abrupt (like if you had selected a "choose your path" option), and that also made me think they had filmed both options.
Simple.

Steve brought it back to the 1970s. But the Space Stone was taken by Loki in 2012, which was not part of the original timeline.
