When you put the spinner body into the wire shaft it’s still not tightly secure right? The the steel shaft was only inserted in the body so if you get a fish hit and it pulls wouldn’t the hook come off? Just trying to learn. Newbie to the art of spinner making.
I feel that both ends of the wire should be closed loops. You can make a closed looo and place the hook within it before twisting the wire to close the loop. Much more heavy duty that way. Use thicker wire also so the thing didn’t bend when you catch a bass
You’d break or straighten the hook way before you’d get that loop at the bottom to open up. Actually, the shape of that loop forces the wires together then tension is applied it. That’s why its a circle and not just a simple bend.
Making a inline spinner is easy. Making a inline spinner that is properly balanced and tuned so that it does not twist your line is much more difficult. I can tell you right now that the weight distribution of that spinner is off and without a swivel its going to destroy your line.
Okay so I noticed that you stuck the wire inside of the little metal piece there at the back what's to stop a fish from hitting that and pulling that wire out and the hook coming off in its mouth?
That's not actually how it's done. There are tons of other videos where it shows how to do it correctly. Honestly I am quite surprised , with so much wisdom, experience and lots of tools you couldn't give the audience what they needed, cuz your video description is HOW TO Hoping that next time we watch your video it will deliver us correctly how it's done lastly thanking you at least for the effort 😁
Actually, inline spinners are ones where no clevis is used, like you'll find with Panther Martin spinners. This is not an inline spinner that was made.
Panther Martin uses a special blade that can't use a clevis... most other inline spinners use one in order to help the blade spin better at a slow retrieve and prevent line twist

You forgot to add a small bearing beed between the Body and the Clevis
And bearing bead under body then a split ring attached to the shank loop where hook goes.

That's exactly what I was thinking too. Needs at least some barrel wraps in-between the bead and the body.

This is good for small fish, there’s absolutely no way your spinner will survive a 30” pike or largemouth bass

I almost always run swivels on my spinners, unless they're super small spinners. It just causes a lot less hassle
