Just a bit of lore info: Piltover(upside) and Zaun(downside) used to be a whole city above ground. It was a strait city. Later, the administrators who wanted to turn this city into a trade center wanted to turn this strait into a canal. However, during this process, things did not go as planned and the south side of the city collapsed underground as a result of an explosion. The collapsed part was called Zaun, and became the home of those who wanted to do business without the laws of the upside (Piltover). After finishing the show there are lore videos of this universe you can react. Piltover and Zaun are just a small part of this universe.
Technically, Zaun was first, Piltover was named after that incident because was the part of the city that was over the new Pilt River. Osha Va Zaun was the original name and it was part of the shuriman empire at one point, that's the reason why it has hidden shuriman ruins at the very bottom.

it only teleported them from the mountains that appear at the distance in that scene, Jayce was born in piltover, he is from house Talis (that's his lastname)
Loving your reaction! Do you plan to jump into league of legends content at all after Arcane? In-case you didn’t know, Arcane took over 6 years to make and almost 90-120 million in total cost. Each EPISODE cost roughly 10-12 million. And while not verified, a huge amount of the budget just went to the animation studio that Riot works with, roughly 75-90% of the budget and rest was used for actors, advertising, audio, etc. Also, in-case you didn’t know, first season of Arcane includes 8 total characters from the game which are Jinx, Vi, Jayce, Caitlyn, Viktor, Singed, Heimdienger, Ekko, and one more that I cannot include for spoiler reasons but is teased. Last thing, highly recommend reacting to “Bridging The Rift” it is a 6 part mini documentary on the making of Arcane and Riot games does not copyright reactions, it’s an amazing documentary and highly recommend it.
