- Visted Eilean Donan Castle while taking a break from work well worth a visit. Worth waiting round for night time as the castle lights up you cannot take photos or film inside the castle.

Is this the castle that was used in the movie Highlander?
Yes this is the Castle and I think the outside was shown in Entrapment Sean Connery film l am lead to believe

If the inside is off-limits, then it can't be in very good shape. :(
Hi you are not allowed to video or photograph inside the castle it cost £10 at the time of visit
You can go inside but not film inside. It was on my bucket list. I was there May of this year. It's beautiful! I asked one of the guides why no filming and was told everything in there is the personal property of the MacRae-Gilstrap family and it's a matter of respect.

Like you I have going here since the 1990s and was pleased Eilean Donan Castle was open this time round
