If IZ was still alive he would have 100% supported Iam. He was an amazing guy and he was such a big star here in Hawaii and he was always willing to talk with anyone if you ran into him either in public or after/before his concert. Braddah IZ was also in a band Makaha Sons of Niihau before he went solo.

Aloha, IZ Kamakawiwo`ole was a gentle soul, humble to infinity, but his gift to the world was his music, which many, many, many ICONIC movie hits, used this and Over the rainbow, very song as their opening or closing song, and during the movie. It is a testament to IZ and his music. IAM reminds me of that gentleness, humility, and voice. So proud. IZ would be so supported of our young man.

Loved Iam's version and I believe IZ would totally be behind Iam and proud of his representation of the islands way of life. Humility, Respectful, love of family and culture, etc. The picture of the volcano erupting is real, that is on the Big Island the largest of our island chain, but CGI was definitely used. The volcano was and is an active volcano back then from 1952 it erupted many times and from 1982-2018 it was in active status almost continuously between those dates. We Love IZ and how he saw the world just as the song suggests. It seems Iam sees the world similarly it is a wonderful world, there's beauty everywhere. we only have to open our hearts and we'll feel the beauty.

Mahalo Dennis for reacting to Braddah IZ - he is so loved and we miss him so much.. IZ would be proud of Iam's outstanding job with this song. My dad passed away couple years ago and my mom play's IZ rendition of N Dis Live (Bette Milder's In The Life) every night before she goes to sleep. When you get a chance check out IZ combined version of What a Wonderful World and Somewhere over the Rainbow. Back in IZ time, he set the bar, inspired and paved the way for up and coming island artists. In this video you just reacted too, toward the end where you see the Hawaiian voyaging canoe, surfers and canoe clubs, people on the beach etc was IZ funeral and where his ohana spread his ashes. I remember it clear as day, Hawaii mourned.

This is a tribute video for braddah iz, the part where their splashing water is his funeral, everything was shut down for the day and tons of traffic all over from people trying to go to his funeral. Listening & watching him brings back all my memories of the beach & especially my Dad. He took me to Keaukaha on the Big Island of Hawai’i (where I am born & raised & still reside) to watch him play & sing in his friends backyard. Even as a keiki I was just mesmerized by him, his voice was hypnotizing! I will always tear up, just to realize as an adult how blessed I am to have grown up during that time. So much mahalo for embracing, loving & sharing our culture. ❤🤙🏽

The volcano is real, in the pic it's just a background. That is Kilauea Volcano found on my island. Late last year we had both Kilauea & Mauna Loa erupting & then Mauna Loa & Maunakea was covered in snow. It was absolutely beautiful!!! You gotta look it up!

Somewhere over the rainbow/ what a wonderful world un-orcastrated version shows his ceremony of life. It was just Iz and his Uku in the music. He passed away before this song was released to the public. This song was first fitured in the movie Meet Joe Black in the end credits. Iz's song was also played in the international space Station.

This song reminds me of my childhood, growing up in the Island with no worries in the world... and Polynesian it's all about family, giving, simple life but very rich with love and care free life...now living in the States for almost my adults life... I had to say... I miss the simplicity of it all... Iz makes me miss home...Iz bring that to his generations... just like Louis Armstrong did on his generation...now same song, same lyrics but totally new voice to this younger generations with our beloved Iam... both Polynesian that makes all of us very proud. And I love all your reactions... thank you for all the hard work.

This song will always have a special place in my heart as it was sung at my grandfather's funeral by the late Ben Vai ❤️
