honestly, hearing how transparent you are with the process/ingredients and brands used to make your soaps makes me want to be a customer. being transparent makes your brand look authentic and genuine
I love your "DaretoShare" attitude! Your decision to share and not hoard will do volumes for your business, family, and future adventures! Lovely soap and GREAT attitude!
Sonia Dorsey. You are so right. I love her attitude! She and anyone else that lives life that way are happier for it. I try to look at things that way as well.
Have you ever mixed a clear glycerin with a cream soap? I think the swirling of the opaque soap in the lightly colored clear glycerin would look so pretty!
I mixed clear glycerin with mica back in 2005, starting on top of the soap as a decoration then starting pouring streams into the soap and swirling with a chopstick. Gorgeous and glittery. Back then I was A Gourmet Soap Shop.
Love that you get, the "the more I give, the more I am given". Such a wonderful view of the world. Love your energy, and spirit. Keep up the great work of spreading soap love!!!
Yes, when you bless others with sharing, you are blessed in return. I thank you as a new soaper for sharing. I've only been soaping a little over a year. Lovely soap design!
oh! I'm so thankful to hear you say about sharing info for new soapers! I feel the same way about all of that stuff. There is no point in not sharing, and there's certainly enough room for all to do well. Well done you. I admire you! Superb soap too, as always. Tiggy xx
Vegan’s that dont use honey and are against bee keepers are contributing to the death of bee’s. Collecting Honey does not kill or harm bees at all. It actually helps them and us by using honey. Bee keepers (proper ones at least like local farmers not mass produced) keep bees in the best conditions for them to survive.
Vegans think any one who interacts with an animal is evil. Yet they feed their cats vegan food. This of course causes a lot of health problems for an animal that’s 100% carnivor. Their hearts suffer, they go blind and a bunch of other things because their abusive vegan owners refuse to provide their cats with the food they need. And they complain about bee farmers. Which if they do their job properly, they don’t harm the bees at all. In fact, it’s normal for colonies to die off. It happens in nature too so it has nothing to do with the bee keeper. Vegans, at least quite a bit of them, are the biggest hypocrites I’ve ever seen. Not to mention they yell “animal abuse!” without understanding what they’re talking about
@@bennu547 The part about vegan pet diets is just not true dude, you can hate vegans all you want but at least know about what you're hating. It's not even a trend in that community. Just stupid people being stupid.
@@noiz1762 i have a friend who is vegan. She never critisies my way of living so everything is fine. Apart from the fact that she feeds her dog a bowl of oathmeal boiled in water and some organic dry bread. I saw it myself, just in case you're questioning it.
Everything is always beautifully made :) you are amazing. Yes please, if you are able to do beginner tutorials that would help so much. I am not able to begin making soap as of yet but I am very INTERESTED! I have been reading two of Anne Marie ( Soap Queen) books and taking notes but having beginner tutorials would be soooo helpful. I hope you all are doing well :)
It’s been almost three years since I made any soap. I’ve just started buying my supplies. I share your philosophy..there are so many bodies in the world ..wayyy toooo many to supply soap..why not share your knowledge with others? Your soap is so lovely! Thank you for sharing your gift!
Totally enough business to spread around. I do not understand why some don’t share. Your attitude is refreshing to me! Totally AWESOME. Thank you for sharing
Years ago I started an invitation business. I reached out to so many other people in the business and no one would help me. From then on I made up my mind that I would always help and even share my craft knowledge with anyone that asked. You are right ~ what you give out ~ you get back 10x. I'm new to soaping and I love your videos. I'm inspired to keep going!! :-)
about what you said about sharing info/technique, this mirrors my feelings as a maker. as a seller, it let's your customers know exactly what goes in your products, nothing nasty to hide. as a teaching resource, it's extremely helpful and encourages people to try something new. as for scents? that's always going to be personal. one maker will like florals, another may like bakery smells, another more into musks, etc. but everyone needs a starting point, and you give them good ones. thank you for sharing!
I have been soaping for a few years and just wanted to thank you for your videos, passion and generosity. I have learned more from you than anywhere else. Happiness and health to your family and your business. BTW love your studio!
You are blessed for helping others. Everyone has to start somewhere at some point, even the best soaper out there had to have information from somewhere. I assure you they did not invent it. Soap making along with the basic ingredients have been around for more than a hundred years so there are no secrets other than the mix of certain additives and decorating the soaps. Your attitude in helping beginners is to be commended and your business will flourish. I don't even watch soapers that refuse to share a recipe or information along the way for new soapers to help them. That is so selfish. I can assure all of the so called professional soapers out there that the 10 or 12 bars a new soaper makes for themselves or gifts are not going to jeopardize their precious empire. Ok, enough ranting now. Thank you again so much for your unselfish attitude in helping others. May your business flourish always. 💞
I'm so sad that I just now discovered your channel! Not only is your attitude & positivity absolutely healing, but there are so many soaps like this one that I would've loved to buy!
loved your philosophy on sharing ingredients! I've never understood why some people are so reluctant to help others with things like this! even if everyone else on earth has your exact recipe, they'll never have the exact same techniques or designs or ideas
I initially commented to ask your favorite version of the fo! And then I got to that point and I just wanted to say thank you so so much for being so kind and so open!
I have been making soaps for a little over 2 years and my philosophy is same as yours! I love to share as well and I am blessed. Love watching your videos.

Aww Katie you are absolutely charismatic! Truth be told I will never try to make soap. It's just so satisfying and awe-inspiring to watch you make them. I don't mind waiting patiently for your soaps to go on sale. I'm glad you shared because that's how I found you and I'm sure there are others just like me.
I love your philosophy, Miss Katie. I've been asked for fragrance sources and have never had an issue with providing it. I never understood the "you need to do the work yourself" mindset. I closed my online store last month, but sell from a gallery here in St. Paul and people do ask about fragrances. I can almost smell this oatmeal, milk and honey soap !

Including stick blender, scale, infrared thermometer, pre-mixed oils, lye, bowls, etc.... EVERYTHING!! And it has free shipping on that kit and let me tell you shipping is super high coming from Bellingham Washington!! Anyway if you're interested just go there and search "handmade soap kit". There's 3 different ones, I got the swirl kit. I'm only sharing this with you because I wish someone would've shared this with me before I spent $500+ getting started!! I just purchased the kit two weeks ago just to have back up items bc the deal is so great! Soaping is lots of fun:)!!! Enjoy!

I think this is my favorite video of yours. please do some beginner stuff. I want to try and make soap but most videos are hard to follow. You're very easy to watch.
I appreciate your willingness to share information. I truly believe the more you put out into the universe, the more that comes back to you

Watching this is August of 2019 after just discovering you and your wonderful family.....is that a Lilly belly? Wonderful!
Honestly, I love your work and your method of working in a great soul .Thank you for your smile .
It is such a shame that I only found your TH-cam 2 months ago because milk and honey is one of my all time favorite scents, right next to Lavender. I really hope you revisit this one some time so I can snag a bar!
I love all of your teachings and your soaps look fantastic. Thanks for sharing.
Looks edible. Awesome. I also have the share attitude, I've found it works well.
Dont think ive ever said this about soap but that looks good enough to eat!
This soap is gorgeous. 😍😍
Some more tutorial-like videos would be great! I've wanted to try and make soap because it seems to relaxing but I just don't know where to start.
Captain Koi Fish Hi I'm a fairly new soap maker and I can tell you that Brambleberry.com has an amazing kit for beginners that comes with every single thing you need to get started! Enjoy!
Thanks, so much! The kit seems amazing!

I'm not sure where you're at or if there's a Hobby Lobby near you, but Hobby Lobby has a soapmaking book that's great for beginners.
