I lived in ND till 1984. I was wondering why I never heard of it. Now I see why it was started in 1989. I think I will have to take trip out to ND to check it out and visit my old home place in Williston. Great video.👍
@@cathymisze3163 Yes, 1989 it started being built and most were completed in 2002. It would be fun to go back to your home place & hope you enjoy the Enchanted Highway as much as we did!
I'm a little slow with my comment because Gary broke his foot last week and we have been off social media while dealing with that while on the road in Tennessee. I wanted to step in and say that we stayed in Medora this past summer and loved it! We also took a day to experience the Enchanted Highway and really enjoyed that, too! 😀 I love seeing Mia having fun.
Ok so worried you referred to yourselves as dorks who are geeking out cause this is something we also would love!! I never even heard of this road before. Those all looked really cool and is now on our list!! Maya what a lucky girl ICE Cream!! Not sure if yiu stuck the landing but I love you so 8.5 !!❤😊😊

We had not heard of the enchanted highway until last year when we saw the one sculpture from the highway. Unfortunately we didn't have time to explore it then but we definitely have it on the list to go back and check it out!
Weirdly enough, it was on a short bucket list of mine too! We got lucky and had clear skies when we did this drive but got annihilated by mosquitos at The Tin Family. We stopped to check out the town campground and got inundated by mosquitos again, so didn't make it to the gift shop.
@@ChasingOurSunshine Go to the train station in downtown Cheyenne to get a map of where all the boots are located-not the best map but it will work! You can pull into the parking lot at Carhenge-check out the cars-pop into the store for a snack or a souvenir & pull back out! Have you done the Presidents tour in downtown Rapid City, SD?

The craziest roadside attractions we’ve done are the Cheyenne Big Boots(Cheyenne, WY) and Carhenge in Alliance, NE
