I love your posts and they are helping me with my hydrangeas too. I wonder two things. Is this plant a smooth leaved hydrangea? Also, do you plan to cut off the flowers once they dry up or will you leave them? Thank you for all your help!
Thank you so much for your video updated on hydrangeas…. Excellent information and so useful to me! Hope my plant, only one for now, 😃 but hopefully it can grow as beautiful as yours… thanks again..

Hi Chandan u are doing very good for new gardeners. this is only hydrangea from any Indian TH-cam channel which is so beautiful and big in size.It is very difficult for us to grow in plains.
Sir, thank you again for such an informative video... After almost 2 weeks my hydrangea is growing better than before, and this is just because of your previous video... thank you very much! 😀 But sir, for potting, mixture can we use vermicompost instead of compost...? and can I use dosage of mixed fertilizer for maintenance of my plant health? 🤔
@yash arya, Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOO much, appreciate it :-) One request - I would really appreciate if you don't call me Sir! Myself Chandan Dutta and plz feel free to call me by name or anything else you prefer, thank you 🙂🙂

thank you for showing useful advice about this plant wc i receive a gift from a dear friend.knowing no idea how to take care of this plant.thank you and keep safe...
Thank you as always for great tips. Is this a smooth leaf hydrangea ( is it also called mop head) I always confused to figure these out. Does the flowers come on new growth. I have lot of leaves and no flowers
Am so happy seeing this plant. Bcz I also have same plant in my home. I have 2 clors pink and blue.and one more thing sir here people are saying this plat name 6 month flower 😄😄😄 now I got it the original name.
Thank you for sending me the link to this video... I will try your method as I have five potted huge hydrangeas with amazing growth and lush abundant leaves and no blooms... I think I put too much plant food with nitrogen... so now I have to change the Ph and do what you did...
Your explanation is truly great....I didn't know the name of this plant too...when one of my aunt gifted this plant to me......she just said that it should be kept in a subdued light....she lives in Blore...so I went thru the TH-cam in shade requiring plants section...so the first I found is your video....and hv throughly explained and came to know the name of the plant too!!! I will follow u r instructions,,thank u Is Mustard cake n seaweed micro nutrient available in Agriculture shops??? Thank u
Wonderful flowering vahi, you did appreciable job. I'm very happy to see this beauty& my honey bee, keep it up ,Lot of love for my honey bee, stay well, stay safe ,see you again, bye bye.
@Sampa Roy, Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOO much for your wonderful words, appreciate it :-) My daughter would be glad to know this and thanks once again, TC :-)
love your video. I have many hydrangea but never bloomed, just plenty of lush leaves. will try the fertilizers you advised. I really hope it works! someone said it won't bloom in the tropical heat..I wonder what you can say to that?
omg its sooo beauty and you did the good job and super detail, um.. anw i failed to take care of my hydrangea. at that time I got a young bud, and the colour of the bud is green, I only had time to raise them until they were a little blooming and the color was white and then the flowers slowly burned and charred :( but I got another baby hydrangea, and I will fight for it again, thank you for making a very detailed video like this, sir! anyway Do you take care of Calla Lily too? It seems like what time I see it
@linna agustina, Thank you SOOOOOOOOO much for the feedback, much appreciated!!! Glad to know you got another baby Hydrangea and I know it would bloom well. One request - I would really appreciate if you don't call me Sir, thank you. Myself Chandan Dutta and plz feel free to call me by my name :-) Calla Lily - YES, I do have but not the hybrid variety. I would upload the video in coming few days :-)
@Sentila Longchar, Glad to know and thank you SOOOOOOOOOO much for the feedback, much appreciated! Aster is a winter flowering plant and best time to sow the seeds is from September end. One request - I would appreciate if you don't call me Sir, thank you :-)
You used mustard cake and bone meal as fertilizers while seeing your pink color hydrangeas blooming. Does it means these two fertilizers provide alkaline soil condition which cause pink color hydrangeas?
@shakthi kumaresan, Thank you very much :-) 45°C is quite high and I wouldn't recommend to grow Hydrangea as it suffers even in my place (as of now it's around 32-34°C). I have a video about Extreme Heat Tolerant plants and if you like, you can watch it here - th-cam.com/video/7M11juZaJ_8/w-d-xo.html
thank you for the video...a month back I had so many big mophead pink blooms. But now they are all getting pale and losing their color? Is it because they are dry? I water them every other day. I am in zone 9b. They get sun till noon and then its shady there. Is it just natural that they are losing color? There are some small new mopheads too. Should I cut the old mopheads? my plant is in a 14 inch pot and its almost 2 feet wide and 2 feet high. Should i repot it in a bigger pot during this season, June?
@What You Looking at, I am from Guwahati (Assam) and I collected them from Nurseries in my place. Since it's not available in Bangalore, I believe you can try online. Thank you and I would appreciate if you don't call me sir :-)
Very beautiful blooms.. Thank u for this video.. It's really very helpful.. Bt can I use rock phosphate instead of bonemeal here.. And would be thankful if u tell the dosage. Is it same as bonemeal
Thank you for this very useful video. Could you please tell when is the correct time to do pruining for the hydrangea plant? My hydrangea bush is very big and I’m not sure when I should prune it as it’s not producing any blooms
@Adel Castro, I am so glad to know they are helpful and thank you very much your words, highly appreciated. Sure, you would get same or even better result if the plant is directly in ground. In fact, while growing in ground, we can apply more amount of fertilizers. Wishing you all the best :-)
@@GardeningUpbeat thank you so much! I'm from Philippines and it's summer time around 32-34° hot temp. I will receive my new hydrangeas tomorrow from other place with slightly cold weather. What's the first thing that I should do to make sure it will adapt our climate and eventually thrive.
@Adel Castro, Sorry for the late response...actually, TH-cam creators don't get any notification for nested comments. I spotted your question as I was checking the comments where I have replied (I try to do it in all cases). Anyway, back to your question - please keep the plant in shady area for next few days and then expose to the direct Sunlight Gradually. Again, Hydrangeas don't need lots of Sunlight. 2-3 hours of morning Sunlight is fine and please don't worry about the temperature...It's same here in my place (Assam, India and as of now it's same like you 32-37°)
You can..but would need to provide filtered sunlight only as they can't tolerate intense sunlight. For your info, temp in my place goes to 37 sometimes and on average it's around 32-35 in Summer. Thank you!

Can a normal fertilizer work too? Bcs i don't have that kind of fertilizers in my country

After flowering do we have to cut them to get more branches
