Such a joy, and so nice that you talk about your “ garden” ……. Not “Yard”! A yard is associated with a farm or a builders merchants! Not a beautiful space!
I have the old variety of Annabelle Hydrangea on the North side of my house in front of a row of boxwoods that I shape every year. The boxwoods are at the back so do not hold up the hydrangea. The Annabelles have some protection from my porch but if we get a lot of rain they will flop. I put a bungee around the middle of it and attached it to my porch and that works. I have a English Style Flower garden and I stalk my entire garden as I grow 800+ annuals from seed with Horta Nova that I bought from Amazon. It works great. Wish I could upload a picture to show you….Love your garden❤
Uwielbiam twos ogrod. 😍Just gorgeous. I have tons of Annabelle’s and Incrediballs. They behave pretty much the same. But I’ve grown Incrediball in full sun and it does really well and grows huge for me…much bigger than Annabelle.
Hello Martha . I love your garden and your program . Will we get lucky enough that you show us inside your house too. I am sure it is as beautiful as your garden and yourself .
Thank you for your very comprehensive care tips. I quite liked the combinations you showed us and how you appreciate them. Looking forward to watch your upcoming video.
We have had the opposite problem here in Massachusetts USA and have had a very rainy spring and summer, but all of my hydrangeas are looking better than ever. Thank you for sharing your tips!
I always find Annabelle’s so easy and so rewarding. I am in Canada and prune them back in April (maybe to 8 inches /20 cm…sometimes even shorter) leaving the flowers with snow on them in the winter. I only water them if the leaves look droopy. I always plant them in about half sun. Not enough sun and the flowers, and plants will be smaller. I don’t even fertilize very often. Maybe once a year with whatever I have on hand.
Marta, I really appreciated you taking the time to explain in detail some solutions for floppy Annabelle flowers on your hydrangeas. Love your hedges!!
I have the classic original Annabelle’s, I put the cage for support, but with heavy rain it can still snap 😢. You have had great tips ! Really enjoy your videos.
I gate my incrediballs with decorative fence panels that have thin bars that crisscross allowing the blooms to grow through them and rest on the fence when they're wet. The green and white against the black fencing looks beautiful.
Hi Marta, I love your garden, very pretty. I will definitely buy some of the grass it’s beautiful. I have one mophead hydrangea and three paniculata, I need to buy more 🥰
Last year we had a very dry summer. This year we have had rain every few days and the garden has never looked better here in Ontario, Canada. My Incrediball has bloomed but I'm still waiting for my panicles. Bonny zone 5b
Wow so beautiful. Here in Australia my Hydrangeas are pink and if I add acid to the soil when growing they will turn purple but never white. We have Gum Trees not Birch with sandy soil. I am in awe of your gardening techniques and are learning much from you. 😀
These hydrangeas are different types that the ones you’re writing about. Yours are hydrangea macrophyla, annabelles are arborescens. They are always white, no matter what the soil ph is. They will turn lime green in August.
I love your videos Marta. Can I ask do you have help in your garden? Its so lush but I imagine a ton of work. My garden is a 1/2 acre in US and its all I can manage. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous property. 🌺🌸🌼🌷🌺🥀🌻🌞
Hello My name is Pollianne. I garden in the suburbs of Seattle WA. Zone 8b. I just love your channel. We like a lot of the same flowers. I struggle with clematis. Do you trim them? Or do you have the ones you don't have to cut back? Thank you!!!
One year I pruned my hydrangea very short and since it grows only greenery not one single flower. It has been 2 years now without flowers. This year I'll dig it out and plant begonias probably or other shade flowers.
My hydrangea is growing leaves but not blooms. They are macro hydrangeas. We had a hard winter for our area. What do you think happened? What can I do for next season?
I have the same hydrangea plant, but it blooms only once in the beginning of the season, but the flowers are gone now. What is the problem? I don't know , it's been happening for two years regularly . Please guide me.
Beautiful plants Marta, your garden is amazing!! Your rain is here in the UK which has been having an unusually wet summer, we long for sunshine!! xx
Haha I know! I just got back from London 😂😂😂
Such a joy, and so nice that you talk about your “ garden” ……. Not “Yard”! A yard is associated with a farm or a builders merchants! Not a beautiful space!
Or in America, we call them yards. Gardens are a part of the yard.

Can you be specific about the kinds of supports you use to aleve the flopping problem?
My anabells are still green. The heat has been terrible and not enough rain.
When planting a hedge like you have how far apart did you plant them?
What is the variety of Hakonechloa macra you have.

Hi how many hydrangea's did you plant?
Huge fan here, Marta! I also live in a zone 6b garden....do you think these hydrangeas would grow with only 4 hours of direct sun?
They will grow but the plants and flowers will be much larger with more sun.
We don’t have strong/Incrediball Annabelle here in Australia we just have the classic one.
I love ypur Chanel
