Think they need transplanting, as there are 4 plants in quite a small area. Taking cuttings first in case we lose any. Thanks for sharing.
The best time to do it It’s march and April you don’t have to putting in the water all you do just cut it like she did it put on the ground and keep them moist but is take time it’s look longer too me I divided it’s batter for me they’re grown faster one plent I divided I got 5 plants it look Two years to grown 2nd years it will booming for you my dose now my first time I tried it it’s working for me 👍
I found some gorgeous purple ones but none of them rooted. I wonder if they had been treated with something because the ones in my yard I have no problem rooting. I don't have any that are purple. I got a lavender with a bit of pink one and a bridal cap one.

Зимой черенки в землю и на балкон.Зимой ,они стояли под шапкой снега.Сейчас цветут.Холода не боятся как и солнца.Пробовала и летом и весной,не принимались.

I am going to follow your steps with my hydrangias. Our Winters are followed by Spring, then Summer, then Fall. My hydrangeas are just starting to bud, but only on one side of the plant. They show in different shades of blue and purple. I believe this is because they were originally 2 different plants, different years. When do you suggest I plant newly rooted stems, if I'm successful? We have just started our summer season a few weeks ago. Thank you, take care.

Another thing I do when propagating is,I dip the bottom of stem in cinnamon,before planting in soil.Cinnamon has anti- bacterial properties.

El mejor momento para plantar es en otoño y primavera. Uso fertilizantes fosfatados, fertilizantes orgánicos (estiércol de vaca, gallinaza...)

How long does it take to have enough roots before it can be put in the soil ?

Video showed 30 days. Roots were about an inch on one of the cuttings.....but soil type was not mentioned. Looked sandy.....probably sand and peat....
