    For like smaller Sample Sizes, McGrattan and Carkner good picks for Ottawa, But as a Sens fan since the early 2000s. Neil was the heart and soul for his entire career.

    Calgary era Sandy McCarthy = Nailz!

  • @LorenzoSCC
    @LorenzoSCC 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    CGY - How could you forget Sandy McCarthy! As well, not a lot of games in the NHL but Brian McGrattan! Was anyone tougher in the NHL than Brian McGrattan? Don't think his fists could fit inside boxing gloves if he tried. Another guy who was absolutely underrated tough and played a regular shift - Engelland. Lastly, really tough guy who wasn't around long was Eric Goddard.

    • @jacknone1564
      @jacknone1564 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      McGrattan played 317 games over 10 years. I’d say that’s a pretty successful career for a perennial 4th liner. Godard played 335 games over 8 years. Both of those guys are well over the average NHL career. He also made the list during a commercial break.

    I love Domi, dude fought some monsters without a second thought, but that being said I think Clark was the best for the Leafs.

    • @mrbiggs36
      @mrbiggs36 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Clark was great because he could score goals and fight. But if we're talking just a pure fighter. Domi probably gets the edge because of the frequency of his fights.

    • @incumbentvinyl9291
      @incumbentvinyl9291 ปีที่แล้ว

      In my opinion Clark isn't eligible because he was a power forward. They were talking about ''goons'' and ''monsters'', or at least that's how the discussion started.
      I'm going with Domi for the Leafs.

    Lyle Odelein was with Montreal for 7 seasons.
    Topped 2300 career PIMs.
    Dave Manson is another interesting name, but he only played a bit over 100 games with the Habs. Almost 2800 career PIMs.

    Thank you Noodles for mentioning Kevin Mclelland. I might be the only guy that feels this way but in my opinion if the Oilers didn't add him to their lineup they might not have won their first Stanley Cup. He was actually a pretty good hockey player and tough. He scored the only goal in game 1 in the 1984 finals against the Islanders. If they don't win that game I'm not sure they would win the series.

    Toughest is different than best fighter. Small guys who always answered the bell, fought out of their weight class and lost to some heavyweights were tough but not necessarily the best fighters. Tiger Williams and Wendel Clark come to mind. Another great example would be George McFee when he played for the Rangers. 5’10” 170 lbs. but man could that guy throw em.

    I would like to see a change in the POINTS given in HOCKEY games, to spread out teams and put more presser to win in regular time. 3 POINTS for win in regular time 2 POINTS for LOSE 2POINTS for overtime win 1 POINT for LOSE 1 POINT for shot out win NOTHING for LOSE , I think it would be better for the game.

      It literally was part of the agreement to becoming an nhler since the beginning of the game but only recently was it changed. You don’t like the fighting don’t fucking watch the sport. Suicide and drug problems don’t come from fighting it comes from poor management and improper health care. Many of the suicides were from players that retired during the 1900s.
