That mulch-bag lever allows you you partially mulch and partially bag/discharge when dealing with tall grass, so that you can mulch as much as possible without stalling the motor.

Best video I've seen on demostrating the hrx217 and all done in normal video speed!
Have my eyes on the hrx217hya with the 200 cc engine this spring. Tired of them standard tranny on other brand mowers going out within 2 years. New subscriber here!

Great mower for both home owner and commercial use. Technically not commercial, but very good mower for small yards.

Good vid thanks. I found it heavy to turn, particularly to reverse. Not good in tight small lawns. I took mine back in favour for manual pushing. But I can see the value in longer grass without the added manual effort :D

Thanks for your honest review. One thing I did not understand is why you say that the HRX is a 17" cut. I measure the blades at around 20.5" and would think that the cut would at least equal the blade width. How are you measuring the 17" cut?

I mow at highest speed grass will allow so I'm probably over lapping a little too much. If you don't over lap enough it will leave uncut grass. So I drive over the wheel marks from previous pass and leaves just over 17" cut.

You lucky folks that own these Hondas with the Manual choke, I would advise you to keep them. The new 200 CC engines have the Auto choke system. 4-5 pulls are needed.

Have you gone to a dealer to get that checked out? I remember seeing a review that resolved that issue. My HRX starts crazy fast

851995STARGATE I changed the plug that came with it. Problem solved.
      Who would have though??

@@algorel4763 Awesome, weird maybe a defect with the plug manufacturer.

851995STARGATE yup, maybe internally the plug was defective. My shoulder is happy now.

Toro time master is good mower

That Toro is trash. After while it becomes a money pit. This my 1st Honda mower haven’t had a chance to use it just yet but the reviews on these mowers are very good.

Time master is a awsome mower. The thing is its a more complicated mower compared to a regular 21inch hence the chance of more going wrong with it. Its my favourite mower way bigger cut than a regular 21 and can mow at 7kmh. I think that they are like a high performance dirt bike a little bit of maintenance and they are fine great mowers no maintenance and problems will happen. For people that are not able to do regular maintenance a average 21 is reliable. But If you are able to do maintenance time masters are a reliable mower that smash any 21 on the market. My yard takes around a hour to mow with a self propelled 21 but with my time master mowing full speed I get it done in around 25 to 30 minutes. They are awsome. Peaceout! 👍

I almost got this but bought a Toro personal pace. I didn't like the idea of a plastic deck over time plastic becomes brittle switch from hot to cold, also if you were ever to hit an object it'll likely bust the deck.
