@Unknown I should’ve clarified simply letting off the gas won’t make it pop, you need to clutch pedal in with the shifter still in gear, and with the car moving, so the car thinks you’re getting ready for a downshift and dumps fuel. If you clutch in and rev it to 3k in neutral or while the car is stopped, no pops. As with most automatic cars with paddles, the paddles merely suggest to the ecu to shift gears, if it agrees it’ll execute. I remember trying to get my buddies’ Imprezas to pop and the autos even with paddles only did it a little on startup or with a tune and even then it was nowhere near as on demand as with the 5 speed
Perfect video. I also have a 2015 sub impreza. The info gathered here give more of a destination of mods. The sounds is completely awesome. Would there b any other additional mods in the months coming?
Thanks for that! Glad they helped. I’ve had a bit done since then. Coilovers, wheels, sports grille, rear spoiler, front lip & rear diffuser and extension :) I may make an update video!
Hi, I don’t remember as it was long ago and don’t have the car anymore, but it was the standard size as the standard system. I believe 2.5” but may be wrong
do you know what size the flange is? I'm Looking to buy a flange and bolt a pipe to it so it is not underneath the car. I don't want to cut the stock muffler in any way.
It bolts on directly to where the stock muffler comes off, I had gotten the piece off a friend who had gotten the piece of straight pipe welded onto a flange which he mocked up to match the factory holes so it was a direct bolt on. Any exhaust shop can make this weld for about $10-15 and the flange wouldn't cost much either to get made. Also the WALKER 41785 (off Amazon) exhaust pipe is a direct bolt on. Hope this helps
Got mine at a local Auto Parts store 21 dollars. Its a Walker brand tip every auto store has em and the Gasket was a dollar 25. took half hour and sounds Delicious. Very Reccomend.-Walker part # 41785. have 2 cut it and around the bumper a bit-This one in this Video? looks a little short 2 me. I'd be worried Exahaust creeps through floor-ZZZZZ. I was getting so bored of our Crosstrek ,but this has spiced it up-Big Time. Cheers.
The one in this video is not the Walker pipe. I bought the walker pipe but never used it as I didn't want to cut my bumper.. This one is a custom made piece that cost a friend $20 to make !
Jin Woo Lee Hello, for the Walker pipe you would have to cut the bumper as it's much longer than what I have in the video. If you just unbolted the muffler the sound would be the same as the muffler delete however the fumes from the exhaust will go straight into your bumper instead of out at the ground and can cause it to melt, I would not recommend just un-bolting it.
Syam v s simply deleting a muffler doesn't hurt mileage. Doing an entire exhaust is a different story. I'm in the process of getting a muffler delete on my 2018 Impreza sport, and can assure you the milage does not change.
Probably decreased because made me drive it harder and changing gears later because the rumble sounded so good 😂 but I think if you drove it the same as normal it doesn’t change that much
doesn't seem that much louder although i'd think without a muffler it'd be wayyy louder. i have the same car and was looking to do a UEL headers upgrade along with muffler delete. so is it much louder than stock?
This is great. I see everyone adding a hige pipe but this little downpipe makes way more sense. I'm doing this asap.
Sounds good way cheaper than the Bora Muffler and louder 2 boot. Good job on this vid 2. Thanks.
Much cheaper for a great sound! I recommend it :) thanks for your comment and thanks for watching!
Did mine yesterday 22 buks!!!my buds got a 500 dollar Bora and its no where as sweet sounding....
Haha it's an awesome cheap mod to do!!
do you know if this would affect the warranty?
Gary Ruth It wouldn't unless the issue is related to the exhaust. You can change it back to stock within 5 minutes.
WOW! This is impressively better than the stock muffler!! Great job man!!
Yes 100% better !!! Recommend it highly :) thanks for watching!

Update I made a custom dumpy to replace the muffler and it sounds mean as
Awesome !
If you have a manual you’ll get some subtle pops if you rev to about 3k then foot off the gas
Can you do this with an automatic??
@@dane5702 unfortunately no unless you get a tune :/

It’s got that awesome boxer engine sound huh. I did the muffler and resonator delete. Has a nice rumble to it. Any other mods?
Perfect for track day this! Cheers 🍻
I've tried this before and I was surprised it didn't sound like anything. It was very quiet
Throttle controller on mine it gets louder the more you turn it up is 9srive controller
Out of curiosity does the impreza/crosstrek have unequal headers out the factory? Sounds awesome btw
They do not but very easy to do custom if you can weld

Did you buy it or have it made ? Trying to do the same thing to my Impreza.
A friend of mine had it made for me
Where did you get this custom muffler delete from?
how did you take off the muffler
Do you know if this is road legal? I see you live in Australia same as me so i was wondering
Did u measure it with a db meter? Mo much noise it makes?
Does it add any power?
JerseyPrepper unless tune.
How did you make the delete pipe?
What differences did you notice in performance and gas mileage, please?
None 😂
@@Ajgarage Thank you!!

It's a 2 inch exhaust pipe
is this just a 90 with a flange? lol
Did this cause any lights to come on? Could this potentially damage any other parts? O2 sensors, cats, anything?
The Waters Above I don’t think so unless he changed the down pipe as well.
How did you make it?
Did you feel any hp/tq loss without the muffler?
Since theres no actual back Pressure.
Theres still a ton of back pressure since it has to go through restrictive catalytic converters and resonator
Didn’t fee a change
Any chance I could see a photo from underneath the car? (ig, imgur, etc)
NOSfusion at 0:46 there is a photo of the underneath. Thanks for watching !
ATC Media Cool. Just had an exhaust shop do mine this morning using your video as a reference. Thanks again!
Is this for 2.0i model?
Correct
Where did you got your exaust tip attached to the pipe

I have the same white impreza 2014. I'm thinking about changing my stock exhaust too. so does it affected your MPG?

Dons Reviews and How Tos .... Thank you 👍
Deleted my muffler. no back pressure. Mpg went down
What is your custom muffler? I have a car subaru impreza 2.0is 2015 i want to change another exhaust sound like u.
nguyen duong walker muffler part costs eight buks
Hi, it's a custom pipe that a friend of mine got made up at an exhaust shop.
ATC Media where did u buy that ....? Thanks
nguyen duong I didn't buy it. A friend of mine made it :)
What angle is that bend in the pipe?
Where did you buy it at?
Custom made

Andrew Monias Definitely louder. Not that loud that it's obnoxious and drony.
It's perfect for what a want 👍🏼
Melted my wheel well a bit 😭
How did that happen?
@@JevaughnGraham123 I took off the muff and when the bolts are it points up to the back right tire hitting the plastic. Lol

@@JevaughnGraham123 the black plastic on the inside. A little bit. I thought it was hitting the tire but it wasn't.
