Nah, Moyu make way too many cubes/variants, but there's big differences between them. (some of them, at least) Even with the exact same features- My ball-core, maglev Super rs3m v1 feels way more sloppy and loose than my ball-core maglev Ys3m.
@@baconsarny-geddon8298I'm going to swap spring and maglev between the M version and BC version of Super Rs3m v1... My assumption is that both the cubes will benefit about this
I think it's actually a very good business decision from moyu to have their cubes made in this sorta modular way, but it might slow down development of new features like the tensioning which took a long time
Do you think if corners had a torpedo going under the edge torpedo would that reduce pops and corner twists while still being fast and good corner cutting? And i think moyu should definitely slow down to GAN speed (only 1 flagship 3x3 a year)
Everytime they introduce small variation in size, body, shape, etc. In order prevent you pickup peices form the basic version of the cube and apply it at your cube, so you can not gain new features on your cube
the cores make a big difference too, the v9 and v10 both have weaker maglev than the ys3m. You also didn't talk about the outside, even though the v9 is clearly more rounded than the other ones. At 1:56 the difference is pretty clear, the v10 is identifiable from the massive center skirt with holes on the corners of it, the centercap also tells you that it is the v10 or the v5, but the skirt makes it obvious that it isn't the latter. the other is clearly a weilong, flat centercap, so it's an old one, and i don't really know those ones, but if i had to guess, it would be the 2021. also, how the hell did you mix up the v9 with the ys3m? They are nothing like each other
Nice vid! Very interesting stuff, it does make a lot of sense that they just whip up a blend of different existing piece designs and slap a new name on it, seems to be working though… but I think they could definitely slow their 3x3 releases down to maybe two a year (1 weilong, 1 rs3m) and focus on releasing other cubes aswell (like updated bigger cubes, square-1, skewb, even their own mirror cube could be cool) Because yes with how good the v10 is, and the huge amount of 3x3s even just in the last year, we don’t need more; 3x3s are reaching their form factor. I think it’s going to be tricky for gan qiyi and moyu to make cubes better than the tv3, wrm v10 and gan12
If u want my suggestion(since ive owned both cubes) i would say it really doesnt matter they both are identical, with the super v1 the center caps to come off when disassembling the cube which can get annoying if u are like, new to this stuff,v1 also has stronger magnets(from what i heard) but its not that big of a difference Although the super v1's response to lube isnt as good as the rs3m 2020 in my experience so its probable better to go for that cube
Moyu def need to chill, with all the variants. I've said for years, they should just make their cubes modular- Instead of selling 4 different Ys3m's; a spring version, a maglev version, 8magnet ball, and 20 magnet ball, just sell ONE ys3m, with the option of including the magnetic core, or maglev, for a few bucks extra.... But they'll NEVER actually do that. Because it would benefit the CONSUMER, not Moyu. It's much better for Moyu, if you have to buy a whole new $30 cube (or $90, here in Australia...), everytime you want some new feature, that would cost $6 as an add-on.
I think that all Moyu cubes feel exactly the same since the release of the Super Rs3M in late 2022, except for Weilong cubes. In my opinion, Moyu should change the way the make products.

1:10 that OLL is one of the easiest to learn and it's like a sune case with r instead of R at the ends: r U R' U R U2 r'
I think he's just doing it for the video. No way my man blud actually does 2-look for that case.

tornado v3 or rs3m v5
V10 best
Tornado has more customization so it's safer to buy

1:53 the wrm v10 has a squared off center split thing
No, the 2021 has flat center caps, and the v10 has more rounded center caps
@@bvcghh1684 i was talking about the thing surrounding the center piece you can see it in the small gap between corner and center

can you do a comparison between the RS3M V5 vs the WRM V10
What topic would you recommend making to a very small cubing content creator? (Me) who only has 1 non magnetic pyraminx, 1 1 s 2x2 and 1 3x3 cube.
I think that moyu is experimenting with different combinations

What changed the most are their prices.
do you know if it is possible to get repetitive strain injury from cubing?

There are too many MoYu variations for me to care about. My brain is already full. It's easier to make decisions when there are fewer options.
