Sonic Classic Heroes is an extensive ROM hack of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 that combines the original game and Sonic the Hedgehog and adds a lot of new features. The main showcase is the ability to choose up to three characters to play the game with and the ability to switch between characters during gameplay. A number of features from Sonic 3 & Knuckles have also been added such as each character having their own unique ability, elemental shields, and the ability to save your progress. Certain bugs that were in the original Sonic 2 have been fixed and certain gameplay mechanics have been improved for a smoother playthrough.
Here, mightyrainbow100 ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/m... ) saves about 2.3 minutes over the previous 100% run thanks to using faster strategies and routes and the usage of a climbing glitch for Knuckles that the romhackers didn't fix.

sonic 1 levels with sonic 2 special stages and sonic 3 sprites… my head hurts

Sonic 1 and 2's Levels and Special Stages but I get you wanting it to be sequential also not to mention CD's Super Peel-out Mania's Drop Dash :) although I do recall 3's Prototype build had the Drop Dash as well

That use of hyper sonic in the Labyrinth Zone probably deserves an epilepsy warning.
TASVideos never posts epilepsy warnings during vids with rapid flashing lights and colors. We should mass report this channel until they start putting in epilepsy warnings on their videos. Either that or boycott.
@@abomasnow4 I mean, they don't post epilepsy warnings, but they do post a separate video with less flashing sometimes.
Edit: Not saying it's ok to *not* leave a epilepsy warning btw, I'm just saying that they do _something_ sometimes.
Tho it wasn't shown in the video itself, they did put an epilepsy warning in the description that everyone obviously reads

One day I hope Sonic 3K would get this Treatment not just it's sonic sprites although this is a great way for Sonic 3 to give back to its predecessors plus a 3rd character and make it Sonic Heroes-like for complete movement options and throwing in Team Chaotix w/o Mighty for good measure hmmm now I wish for a Team SegaSonic/Mania+ Team but idk who would be a third member considering Sonic was with Mighty and Ray as proto/lesser known versions of Knuckles and Tails respectively ALSO TFW getting Super form with HYPER'S OMNIDASH

Hola, La velocidad de TAS es muy complicado de hacer pero se puede practicar, ¿no? Yo jugué algunos de mis juegos antiguos para hacer nada más un SPEEDRUN no TAS.
TAS is a set of tools used to make macros of a game played perfectly. It is impossible to replicate everything a TAS does, because the glitches in some games the TAS exploits happen too fast to the point we cannot react to it. There are speedruns where speedrunners don't use TAS strategy because of this reason.
You can try but unless you have a way to set up very complicated tricks with frame perfect inputs it is very unrealistic to play like a TAS. Which is why seeing TAS runs of games so entertaining

The most likely explanation is that the slide Knuckles does when landing on the ground during a glide clipped him into the wall and zipped and somehow upwarped through the wall

because the flashes were intentional?? Have you ever played sonic 3??
@@NolanS-ex5kl It was bad design. The flashes could have been made gentler, toned to a color that isn't bright white, or eschewed entirely.
This'd honestly be cooler if he was controlling all 3 characters separately and they were all moving around in cool glitchy ways whiteout falling off screen... I remember a dude did a lost vikings game like that once ~ Plus people do multiple sonic or megaman games at the same time so CheeeeeeEEEeeEEEeeEEeeeeEEeeepppppp
