SegaSonic the Hedgehog is a isometric platforming game that was released for the arcades. You and up to two other players play as Sonic, Mighty the Armadillo or Ray the Flying Squirrel, as they attempt to escape from Dr. Eggman's island after being kidnapped and imprisoned there. Doing so will not be easy however as Eggman has set up traps all over his island. Unlike most Sonic games, Sonic and friends have health bars instead of the traditional rings system; rings here instead restore your health bar. The game also uses a trackball to control the characters instead of joysticks and buttons.
Tuffcracker ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/T... ), rodonic01 ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/r... ), and SpectralPlatypus ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/S... ) collaborate to beat the game as fast as possible, defeating Eggman and getting Sonic and his friends off the island in record time. This is an improvement of 381 frames compared to the previous publication. - เกม

This game really doesnt get enough credit for just how great the spriteart and animation is. Sega's arcade division were wizards when it came to eye candy and technical showcases! I love touches like the cartoony delay in Sonic's eyes as he's falling in the ice level! Its a shame that Sega has NEVER rereleased this game...
Fun fact: this game's stages' names have one similarity to Sonic CD's zones' names. The initials of all names of all the levels is always the same letter. To be more explicit:

Quartz Quadrant (QQ for short)

The only exception is SegaSonic's final level, Eggman's Tower, which is ET for short.
I like how up until Trap Tower you can barely tell the game is having you run away from obstacles.

They surely got their money's worth from that stock scream effect.
A lot more death abusing here (the one at 6:09 was funny as hell, ngl. "WHEEEEEEEE-" *dies*). Nice work, and great job on the improvement!

The trackball for this game in arcades must have been the most faulty-ass thing ever after like 20 go-arounds considering the whole gameplay is you spinning it with the force of a thousand suns trying to pass some of these mechanics

What gets me is that, after screaming his head off for most of the first stage, Sonic generally shuts-up for the remainder of the playthrough.
Maybe the devs realized how annoying all the WAAAAAH!s were in playtesting, and cut most of them out from Zones 2-8 (barring one further instance in Zone 6, of course).
Is spin jumping the whole time faster??

Not the best System 32 arcade game (Rad Mobile exists after all), but it’s still a fun arcade game akin to Atari’s Marble Madness
