Fun fact: this game's stages' names have one similarity to Sonic CD's zones' names. The initials of all names of all the levels is always the same letter. To be more explicit: Sonic CD: Palmtree Panic (PP for short) Collision Chaos (CC for short) Tidal Tempest (TT for short) Quartz Quadrant (QQ for short) Wacky Workbench (WW for short) Stadust Speedway (SS for short) (what?!) Metallic Madness (MM for short) Sonic CD (scrapped zones): Dubious Depths (DD for short) Desert Dazzle (DD for short) Final Fever (FF for short) SegaSonic the Hedgehog: Volcano Valley (VV for short) Icy Isle (II for short) Desert Dodge (DD for short) Trap Tower (TT for short) Landslide Limbo (LL for short) Wild Water Ways (WWW for short) The only exception is SegaSonic's final level, Eggman's Tower, which is ET for short.
This game really doesnt get enough credit for just how great the spriteart and animation is. Sega's arcade division were wizards when it came to eye candy and technical showcases! I love touches like the cartoony delay in Sonic's eyes as he's falling in the ice level! Its a shame that Sega has NEVER rereleased this game...
The trackball for this game in arcades must have been the most faulty-ass thing ever after like 20 go-arounds considering the whole gameplay is you spinning it with the force of a thousand suns trying to pass some of these mechanics
What gets me is that, after screaming his head off for most of the first stage, Sonic generally shuts-up for the remainder of the playthrough. Maybe the devs realized how annoying all the WAAAAAH!s were in playtesting, and cut most of them out from Zones 2-8 (barring one further instance in Zone 6, of course).
I would love to see an All/Most Rings run of this with all 3 players. So much potential there.
take a shot every time Sonic says "Waaaaahh"
you’d be dead
I’d already be intoxicated by level 1
drunk before the first level
Six deep in the first minute
you’d be dead

I like how up until Trap Tower you can barely tell the game is having you run away from obstacles.
A lot more death abusing here (the one at 6:09 was funny as hell, ngl. "WHEEEEEEEE-" *dies*). Nice work, and great job on the improvement!
Incredible! I've improved a lot since the last TAS of this same game! Well done to the creators
He avoided those rings like his time dependent on it!!!!
"WAAAAAAAAAHH!"
I was hoping for an All Rings run, but I guess that's too tough considering the difficulty of the game.
Some of the stylized graphics in this look awesome
Finally we got to see someone play this game again
They surely got their money's worth from that stock scream effect.
Will never understand how Eggman manage to escape within 20 sec.

Waaaahhh the Hedgehog
Sonic has a really good Waluigi impression.
I liked the part where Sonic said...
Well, implying he said anything is a stretch, at the moment he seems incapable of saying anything that isn’t “WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA”
@maverickhunterstupidiocy7779 what about sonic saying okdokido" in 1:56 ?

1:30 that laugh sound very familiar 🤔 but I can't put my finger on it
So.. How do we further optimise that Desert stage which sucks up a lot of time??? And go!!!
2 undodgable rings, wow
Cool like last time. No all rings run yet?
Ultimate Waah Destruction
Sonic got wise: Sage Sonic

WAAAAAH
Is spin jumping the whole time faster??
Not the best System 32 arcade game (Rad Mobile exists after all), but it’s still a fun arcade game akin to Atari’s Marble Madness
❌ You want to get on the highscores table? Collect rings!
The point was to beat the game as quickly as possible, and the ring tally at the end adds more time to the run!
Jim Carrey anyone?

How is it a speedrun if you keep dying?
Dying in some games saves time. There's a reason why they die on purpose
