  • I recently spent 5 days backpacking through Wyoming's Wind River Range, featuring some of the best backpacking in the world through a rugged mountain range full of alpine lakes and huge granite peaks. On this particular trip, I experienced absolutely phenomenal landscape photography conditions, with great sunsets and sunrises almost every night and morning.
In this video, you'll get a behind-the-scenes look at my 5 day trip into the Wind River Range, as well as get the chance to see some of the photos I shot and pick up on some tips and tricks to improve your own photography.

I love how you get super excited about light conditions. My moon shot was your favorite image.

I LOVE your voice. You are so nice to listen to and I love how you set up your photos verbally. I subscribed. I look forward to traveling with you. I have my own channel with 110, 000 views now. Gorgeous trip and images.

That image at 8:20 is just fantastic . Awesome stuff . It would be nice to hear more about technique as you're doing the voice over as I was wondering if you were focus stacking , exposure blending , etc . My camera certainly wouldn't handle some of that dynamic range . Excellent vlog and definitely have the Winds on my bucket list !

Thank you so much for watching and the feedback! I’ll keep that in mind on the next one. That particular image was focus stacked with 2 images but I probably could have gotten by without doing it.

Awesome hike man! Hiking 5 days with camera gear and backpacking gear is no joke! How many lenses did you carry with you and what focal range?

I usually carry a 17-28 and a 28-200, with a CPL that fits both filters! One camera body and a tripod, plus a GoPro for TH-cam stuff!

@@AustinJamesJackson Solid range! Gonna have to consider two lenses when I backpack now. Lol.

Can you give a more detailed itinerary? Where did you camp? Route?

I’m sorry, I generally don’t share detailed itineraries for off trail trips like this one.
