This is the first time I can understand spanish without visual help and it is so rewarding for me! Note to self: about 65 hours into learning spanish, with 20 hours on dreaming spanish and the rest podcasts and movies that sounded mostly like gibberish. This video I understood what they were talking about about 90% of the time and understood 60-70% of the words and many that are familiar but not quite sure the exact meaning. I be back and let me know the progress made. 04/17/24

I llive near Medellin, and although the Paisas have their distinct dialect, I can understand you two better than from the other countries. And I want to listen to as much Colombian dialogue as possible. I hope you two continue this collaboration. Also, this kind of conversation is excellent as it mirrors more closely the natural conversation of any two people talking rather than say, like a story about the past. Thank you and please keep up your excellent work.
Agree this type is way better then the other stories - I guess interviews made for easier / harder variations also is kinda easy to do just speak slower during easier interviews and we're able to follow along

A cycling series would be awesome! I’ve been very surprised how strong the cycling culture is here. We were in Barrichara for a huge televised event and it was incredible. Our friends in Anolima also said there’s a tv series about a famous Colombian cyclist right now.
Everyone thinks their first language is the most expressive and "rica" -- except, maybe, for bilinguals from birth and people with training in linguistics. I _could_ say that -- despite not having as many terms for 'I love you" as Spanish -- English is more rich and expressive, because we have both a Germanic and Latinate lexicon ... with nuanced differences in meaning and formality between words of Latin and Norman French origin, and more or less the same words of Germanic origin. 😊 But that wouldn't exactly be true.
I keep hearing that the /v/ sound doesnt exist in spanish and V and B are pronounced the same. But at 1:34 she says "vives" like /v/, not /b/ In order to fully make a /b/ sound you have to close your lips, which she clearly doesnt do.
When I see Shel Prince starts to sing: "Could you bee, the most beautiful gurl in the world" (in my heart) Yo Prince plz it's already hard enough 😵💫✌🏼 Edit: Bienvenida a 🇫🇮 te ofrezco un té 😅
She said that she doesn't like the corruption in the government, but she believes that by being an honest and kind person and being grateful towards others it would be enough to help make a better country I hope that's helpful :)
There is also a stereotype that all Columbian ladies are incredibly beautiful.... If you're trying to dispell myths, you need to do some reallty bad makeovers.
It's intermediate Spanish as per Dreaming Spanish's method. So, if you're a native Spanish speaker (or you speak it to a high level already), yes it's deliberate that they are speaking this way
