Hey that ORBEA 🤔. I've been thinking about how a kers system might work on a DH bike via an integrated flywheel. I'm betting thats whats going on there 🤷♂️
Those protos look better than some finished frames. I love all the spare bolt holes and external routing that clearly makes them better for fettling. We need more of that in sale models.
The Specialized prototype seat stay is from an Enduro. Thats why it’s 148 boost

Am I the only one concerned about the Specialized Demo’s shock link hitting rocks in its current position in front of the BB? Seems like it’s a rock garden away from destroying that part.
Still finding it hard to see the forks as Rockshox with white lowers and gold stanchions after like 20 years of that being fox colours.
Not the first time that Rockshox have featured gold stanchions though! We doubt it will be the last 🧐
Fox looks the best IMHO! I can’t stand the all black color of rockshox. Looks like 💩

@@OwenBikeNerdComing from a pro MX and desert racing background, yes I would run one. I don’t think Hopey steering dampers are still around. I may be wrong about that.

I run them on my Tlevo; amazing doesn't even begin to describe it, now converting all my bikes to them and unless something crazy changes will forever run them on all future bikes. Truly incredible!!
The Norco gonna crack like after 3 bike park days or 3 races like the tradition.

@@cedricseibel3924 LOOOOL my Norco Sight was new and cracked after 2 days in Whistler, meanwhile my Scott Gambler and my Canadian made Xprezo Adhoc have more than 150 bikepark days. Norco easily crack i know at least 3 ppl who crack their frames.

7:40 Floating brake arm? Uh, clearly the brake caliper is attached to the rear triangle. Where is the floating brake?
floating as it's attached to the seatstay instead of the chainstay, it moves different from the main pivot. It's the same system as a trek for example

Why they dont use push elevensix coil shock
They ride their sponsors, so whoever pays them the most to ride their products as long as it's competitive. And they'll want that brand engineers to be present at every race so they can do the work required to set up, maintain and fix the suspension at any moment.
Custom suspension is far too niche to fit the bill
Another brand that moved to High Pivot, the Cannyon Sender.
Almost the whole field is high pivot at this point...

orbea gearbox ?
It has a derailleur and cassette fitted so that's unlikely. I'd guess it's just a bolt on bottom bracket adaptor underneath the cover.
Probably right, but would be a nice smoke and mirrors trick, if they just slapped the derailleur there for distraction and as a tensioner

Fox probably sent everybody a bunch of free forks and paid them to use them too but I agree it does not fit many bikes
