- So, today we treck to a cannibal and mutant infested island, all in the search of a missing billionare, but whislt we're doing that we're also on the search for 28 achievements that Sons Of the Forest comes with. So join us as we fight some of the most horrible cannibal camps, clear out caves of nightmarish monsters and wife a three armed and three legged mutant. All with our best friend Kelvin.

The first forest game and the first subnatica holds a special place in my heart, because I followed both through a majority of their development cycle.
And both sequels just don’t hold up :(

Haven't finished the video, but fun fact: there are multiple initial spawn locations. EX: I spawned on the snowy mountain side with the helicopter almost rolling into me. Which I find pretty neat so not every player has the exact same experience early on. Keep up the good work though, I'm sure its another banger.
I thought that was a feature they hadn't brought over from the first game yet, as all 4 of my worlds started ontop of the mountain. It wasn't until seeing this video that I found out my luck was just that good

Regarding the printing achievement... I have a distinct feeling that Endnight is going to introduce some new things into 3D printer, hence why it's so hard to create. I really hope that isn't the case, but I wouldn't be surprised.
The Maker achievment is possible to get legit now, I got it by just loading into the game after the last patch and craft something in the 3D Printer, which gave me the achivment. I had the same problem with the Collector which is collecting 50 watches, which is also fixed now since by picking up another watch after patch I got it aswell. But I really hope on a related note that there will be more stuff to 3dD print in the future ^^

100% get the open water fear. I had it with the first game, too. Catch me just closing my eyes and spamming the forward button to get through the water.
I also have thalassophobia, but honestly, Subnautica is my favourite game ever. The feeling it captures is just phenomenal. The leviathans are shocking, sure, but the scariest part of the game for me was just empty dark water that I had to go down without the safety of my sub. Deep, dark, exposed, and the threat that something was hiding waiting for me, but nothing came aside from some tiny scavengers. Highly recommend.
It's not too scary when you can see the see floor. But when you can't, that's when you realize how truly insignificant you are.
I'm not afraid of necessary open water, we used to go boating,knee boarding,tubing etc every summer at a big lake but what I don't like is like swimming in water knowing there is something under me. Like the thought of being in the lake swimming and there being a sunken boat under me freaks me out. Watching the movie titanic and seeing those people swimming while the titanic sinking under them absolutely freaked me out lol. Idk if that makes any sense
I get the irrational fear that some unknown predatory creature is about to eat me lmao. I've been able to overcome some of it to an extent as I've grown older, but it's still there. Even in a swimming pool where I can see the bottom I still get anxious when I can't easily touch the bottom.

I didn't know there was tool that can give you achievements for games you own. now that I do I'm actually willing to go through the achivments for sons of the forest, as I stopped halfway through as some achievements just didn't pop even though they should and I just thought to leave it for now.
Do keep in mind this tool is at least theoretically against TOS - which was an actual issue back in the days of Team Fortress 2, where people legitimate got account banned for getting items and such for free, while being clearly and obvious to spot on Valve's end.
Though for third party titles it should be fine.
i have the very same fear of open water. Subnautica was a big hurdle for me, I'm certain youll enjoy it when your ready.

15:00 interesting that you found the golden armor there. It means you completed this pre-patch then uploaded it just now, I guess a month after they moved the golden armor elsewhere.
I imagine it takes hours upon hours to cut down these streams into a single half hour video that remains coherent 😂

i find it interesting that we never saw Kelvin chopping form the whole forest for you, when Kelvin's lumberjack capabilities were the focus of the other videos i've seen on this game

when me and my partner played this and got the sohtgun i had the most evil laugh and went on a tear with it
here's a tip for subnautica, just remember, dont get scared of the monstrosities, get angry at them. get pissed off. once you master the art of wanting to fuck them up just because they exist. subnautica stop being scared.
similarly, make the prawn suit, and the grapple arm. and just hold both buttons down. the big ones take around 100 punches to kill, when your health get low, leave, hide, repair, and go back. you cant be afraid of monsters, if there are no monsters.
also, headshoting them using acid/deep mushrooms, and the propulsion gun. you can even stun them first, before shootingthem. those things do alot more damage than they seem.
you can also grab a ton of floaters, and just try and shove them into them. after a few, they will get stuck at the top of the cave/surface of the ocean. unable to really move.

The maker achievement isn't "bugged" it is unobtainable because not all of the printable items are enabled
it was "bugged" even if what you said is true. that would mean that it is indeed "bugged"

the reason the Printer Achievement isnt unlockable is because there are more items to make, but they are not added yet due to them being INCREDIBLY buggy!
just wait a while and it'll be possible to unlock legitemately!
Just to let you know, they added a final boss, is like one of the demons you find in the lava but bigger and with a lot of healt, nothing crazy but at least is something, is just near the cube in the final zone.

12:55 regarding that "Maker" achievement, I managed to unlock it randomly in a multiplayer session. Then again, I keep joining random multiplayer sessions and starting over each time I look for a mp session. And I unlocked it just by crafting arrows. I feel that this might be triggered by the volume of items you make rather than per item as described.
no, with 1 of each item should be enought but there are 6 bugged achievements which is suspicious to me because it is random which one wont work and there are always two unobtainable, for example im on day 62 in my main save and still have not unlocked the 25 and 50 days achievements.
maker is the most broken achievement with a lot of complaints and it seems to pop out randomly.
Just for the record: fashionista, maker, foodie, 25 -50 days and collector are reported to be broken.
Also a fun fact city planner does not need a 1000 log build, you can unlock it by placin 35 stick holders and fill them but it carries over other saves, i unlocked the 500 log one by building a small cabin in my current save

Whilst I’d agree on that observation, going by the wiki says otherwise: “Each opening involves a mysterious man wearing a silver jacket who strikes the player with a Chiappa Rhino 60DS, rendering them unconscious.”

@@SMiThaYe they should probably remove the man and make it a "person". And the mysterious person wearing a silver jacket's name had been identified in one of the Puffcorp laptops.
Also, anyone can edit the wiki and the original author assumed they were a man.
@@triadwarfare It’s not so mysterious as we later find out that this person is Jianyu Zhang who was identified as a security threat, the name and photos resemble a male figure.
@@SMiThaYe i think we should not assume their gender at least until Endnight defines their gender. They could be non-binary as far as we know, possessing both male and female attributes to try to throw us off.

If it makes you feel any better I have the same fear of open water but the fear comes from not knowing what’s beneath, Subnautica can be scary but not as scary as swimming above the water waiting for a shark to kill you

I mean there's alot of info pieces like papers and books you can pick up and collect that give the story a context (which I'm guessing you didn't cus there are books of Timmy in there too) Non the less, nice vid and love to see you play subnautica
Could have tried to avoid the shark as long as possible and see if it could be the last one, extra credit on facing your fears though!
The achievement for 3D printing every item isn't bugged, they just didn't add every single item to print yet.
Please do play subnautica! it is so worth it, take it from someone with the same fear's as you, when i first started playing it it took me 30 minutes to pluck up the courage to even dive into the water for the first time but man is it worth it. And if you do decide to play it then try to keep yourself as uninformed as possible, subnautica is a game that gets better the less you know about it.

I'm amazed you missed using the cross on the gold cave enemies, as hinted at in sketches elsewhere.
Great video - Though one point of criticism. The background music - it's rather short and loops fairly often. Which wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't so noticeable (both the looping and the volume/intensity of the strings playing)

I nearly have all the achievements, only missing the ones to finish the story and the trusted one also the raw fish one is bugged for me
You should come back to this game, since u have played, many caves were re-worked, many item locations were changed, more items were added, and they made multiple game endings, also more achievements have been added! Full version of the game is so amazing and available now plz check it out !!!
Can’t complain about the ending. It’s a horror survival. Just like in movies it’s a good movie with a terrible ending. That’s the whole point
I wonder if the maker achievement is just locked and not bugged. Maybe it unlocks after they add more items to the game. They will be adding more items you can print.
They should make achievements for using the cross to burn a demon and for killing the Demon Boss. I think it was added by the time you made this video so by running through I think you passed it up. It's a giant demon bursting out of the lava.
