In this compilation video, we go over multiple clips that range from mountain lion attacks, cougar encounters and even puma spottings. What makes these ''caught on camera'' moments so scary is the fact that they were filmed in remote areas like a forests, arizona or california desert or even national parks.
We feature a clip where a man tries to tame a mountain lion, men in a canoe encounter a cougar, a man out hunting at night encounters a large mountain lion, a woman on a hike fights off a stalking cougar, a few hunting dogs run after a mountain lion and a pair of hunters have a mountain lion spotting.
These wild cats can be very scary. Some of these creepy videos even feature moments where people were chased down by these animals, which are known to attack or stalk people who are out camping, hunting or mountain biking in the wild.
These mountain lion vs man moments are sure to give you the chills and the fact that some people were lucky enough to capture these near death experiences on gopros or on tape makes it even crazier. Some of these have even gone wrong.

I agree. You can easily tell that Lion wanted no trouble. He was just warning that idiot to leave him alone. He wasn't in predator mode. A quick an easy tranquilizer dart is what he should have used. Then he could have easily transported him out of harms way. I would have fired the idiot moron with the predator stick. Moron.

Best thing to do is show no fear and actually become the aggressor first and look angry while charging towards the beast, this confuses the lion and instinctively will retreat while still not knowing for sure if you're prey or predator.

@@luke9072 If it had babies near by that would be a disastrous move, or if it was protecting a kill near by, if it was just protective of its territory, no the advice is to slowly retreat still facing the cat, with no direct eye contact, remember humans really are not on its menu, but the above have led to rare attacks.

Number 21 that mountain lion looked like he had a huge abcess on his lower face and jaw. If you rewatch it you can see the huge lump. Poor thing.

The narrator is either embellishing these encounters for the sake of views, or is abysmally ignorant of the behavior of mountain lions. Since the narrative is so exaggerated, I'll go with the former.

about 2 months ago there was a black mountain lion spotted near my house.
How can you hike without a weapon or at least some food with you in an area especially with a mountain lions

I once thought a cougar came out of some bushes and came to attack me but it turned out it was a dog. I only didn’t identify it when I first saw it cause the face was covered by a big leaf from a tree
I had a cougar chase me once..It was scary but eventually I gave in and f'd her.

There's a few of them around merkle county and Abilene,and one night my mom was driving home from novis TX when one went across the road from a rock like surface.

Sorry but the only way I'd even consider rescuing a mountain lion or any other wild animal is to tranquilize it first. They don't understand that you're trying to rescue them, they just act out of instinctive fear and if trapped, attack anything or anyone that gets too close. I'm thankful for the brave people who rescue them as part of their job. I would be too terrified to do the job myself.
Sometimes tranquilizers can't be use, usually because the cougar is a spot where they can't get a clear shot, like under the house in that one clip.
It can be difficult to get the right dose for an animal. Having too high of a dose may kill them, too small and they could have no effect at all. This is to say you have access to tranquilizers in the first place. Regardless, I agree. These men put the life of the animal before their own safety. Heros.
As sorry as I would feel for the poor tired cougar I don't think it would be wise to let in your boat.

Mountain Lions are present almost everywhere. You're thinking about typical Lions. Mountain Lions are a different species entirely.
They actually have many names depending where you live puma, cougars or Mt lion. And harassment with the dogs is good a healthy fear of humans makes attacks less likely and keeps the cat away from the guy that shoots first.
Half the people in the US will not carry a fire arm even in the woods 😢

These mountain lion encounters were a little too close for comfort.
Never go hiking in predator country without bear spray. I live in the Rockies and never go riding or walking without it. I’ve had to use it three times. Twice on Grizzlies and once on a cougar.
The person recording his two dogs needs to never have animals or kids! Just sits in his house and records it like wtf at least scream or do something if you don’t have a gun….

It doesn’t belong to them. 😂 They live there but they don’t own it. We have a relationship with the wildlife here in the USA. We have biologist that protect habitat and maintain these ecosystems. They are there for us to enjoy. A lucky few are given permission to buy a permit and hunt a mountain lion. It’s a give and take relationship.
