Mountain Lions Are so dangerous, that it makes me wonder why people go out all by themselves. Except one person had a gun. People should go out in groups, there is safety in numbers .

My little dog and I surprised a bobcat on the porch in the Berkshires. He went from the porch to 30ft away in 2 seconds, stopping a second before disappearing.
We came across a mountain lion walking up the trail 100ft away in the same area. We locked eyes, I looked at my dog and the lion disappeared.
My brother and I came across a black panther in western NC at night. I'll never forget it's huge green/yellow eyes. We ended up running away as everything we did to scare him didn't work.
I've also had close encounters with bears and the neighborhood coywolf pack. Generally speaking animals will avoid you if possible and even if you encounter one they'll highly likely try to get away from you

There has been spotted around Duluth, Mn. and also in se Mn. whiich they were not approached and left alone. just like a bear if a person sees a bear it can attack if it has cubs or people tease a bear then the the bear pays the price of stupid humans. Now I am not very smart I do know the difference.
