THE DEEP COAL MINE OF LITTLETON

I wrote and recorded this song as a tribute to all those who worked at Littleton Colliery.
Littleton Colliery was the last deep coal mine on Cannock Chase Staffordshire when it was closed on 10/12/93.
And to all our mining comrades from all over the UK who lost their livelihoods...Remember "They failed to break the spirit of these proud hard working men"
"SO STAND TALL AND STAND PROUD"
I was privileged to have worked alongside some the finest men ever to have graced God's earth.Only a coal miner can tell you how proud you feel to have been a part of a family that is only equalled by the military during wartime.I'm proud to have been a part of Littleton Colliery's long record breaking history.To all who worked there and those who are sadly no longer with us -

All types of coal from Littleton - Best Coal and also Coal for Power Stations.
