When it comes to my Castlevania games, I go for the old school ones. Same goes for my choices in the franchise's music, the classic soundtracks are the most iconic ones. This 16-minute Castlevania orchestral rock medley is one year in the making, with conceptualizing beginning as far as September 2014.
Songs were chosen mostly by personal preference but with some help from several polls in my social media pages. I ended up including 22 songs that include tracks from the original Castlevania, Simon's Quest, Castlevania Adventure, Dracula's Curse, Super Castlevania IV, and Symphony of the Night. For me, these classic entries have some of the most iconic and recognizable music in the entire franchise.
The modern entries, even with their more advanced orchestrations, never really captured the iconic status of the classic soundtracks most of which you can easily identify by just hearing the first three or four notes.
For this arrangement, I went with my favorite style of orchestral rock but introducing a cathedral organ part as it fits the gothic horror theme of Castlevania very well. The melodic lines are thrown around between the lead guitar, violins and organ.

I'm crying right now! I'm 40 years old. I watched all my childhood in this medley. I preserve this games and they're consoles.
That moment when
you think the video is soon ended because of the many songs that were covered
but there is still 10min of hypepicness left.
I never thought I'd find another Poison Mind as badass as the one in CastleVania Dracula X Chronicles but damn dude, this came incredibly close.
This video deserves more views, the music is superb, flawless. The classic Castlevania songs in the best form I've ever heard.

That transition to Heart of Fire from Wood Carving Partita has ruined the Long Library for me, in a good way. I can't play it without expecting HoF to come in out of nowhere and blow my mind.

A little late, but II second this - I've played most of the games over the years, I loved Castlevania since I was 8 (I'm 30 now, so the franchise is a little older than I am), but didn't have all the consoles over the years, but I feel nostalgic for every single song, even the ones from the few games I missed. All the old songs were amazingly epic and the newer stuff was beautiful great choice of instruments... I wish I could apprcate the pieces more but I've never played a castlevania game.

I just realized. Castlevania was NES (or retro in general) Dark Souls. Same sort of themes (sort of a Gothic, Medieval horror setting) , dope ass music, both hard as balls, and Dark Souls is basically 3D Metroidvania.
That said this medley is probably my favorite medley ever. I actually listen to this shit all the time and it's fucking great. You're a fucking legend my dood.

Not so long ago, I was looking for certain Castlevania tracks that were performed in a certain way, but just couldn't find them. Then I clicked on this and remembered the version of those tracks I wanted was from this video.
