A fair review, mirrors our experiences on busy days, but have been there where queues are only 15-30min per ride. We spent a week last September, did buy unlimited express pass for one day. In future we'd spend less days, to cover cost of express pass if busy. Still a fantastic, very well themed park, John Wardley cast his magic over some of the theming!
We were there last week and all agree never again in August. We love Port Aventura and have been numerous times, Wild West is our favourite. Queued for Uncharted at 1hr 50 and it took 2 hrs 20 mins! Angkor is always wild, it’s great fun and we always get soaked! The Chinese theatre show is always brilliant and a welcome 30 min seat in air con break. Have only ever managed to do Furious Baco once in all the times we have been. Agree it would be great if Universal bought over PA again.
I’d prefer universal built their own from the ground up as this resort has also issues with sewage and the smell on certain days was awful, this is a salou issue , nothing the resort or new owners could do about it
I went 13th 14th 15th august and the queues were really not that bad, I guess I just got lucky?? Longest wait I did was 1hr 30 for uncharted and that’s cos it had a technical delay
@@coaster_dad haven’t watched the video yet but this was when I was about 10 or 11 and I just remember thinking how great Sesame Street land was. In the hotel where the entertainment is (or was since it might have changed location) there is also a little shop where you can buy blue bubble gun things and they come out of a semi-transparent circle with glowing lights… I STILL HAVE IT! It’s always been visible in my room ❤️
@@coaster_dadno joke this video just came up on my recommendation page and when I saw your poll at 0:20 I was gonna go to your communities tab and find the original poll to see if it had changed because we have booked to go there a few weeks ago. I remember this video now and glad I found it again ❤️
@@coaster_dad at 0:44 I distinctly remember dancing with my gf during the parade (where the Disney themed floats would go past on the road) not on the havana boat but the one opposite it. Was a nice time
Last thing I’m gonna say is the bumpy ride with the barrel theming (near the rapids entrance and arcade entrance) was easily my favourite ride. Similar rides like it but my personal favourite small ride ever.
Does seem hit and miss. I went to Parque Warner for a day when I was over there and the queues were 10-20 minutes which was much more comfortable in the heat. 🙂
@@coaster_dadCrowd sizes aren't even close between these two parks. PortAventura is an international resort while Parque Warner is much more local. Operations at Parque Warner are truly awful though, worse than PortAventura's
@@ikergameplaysyt when I was there it was the exact opposite. In mid August Portaventura was a mess and the longest waits at Parque Warner (apart from the new ride) was 15 minutes. I guess all parks have their good days and bad 🙂
Get yourself to energylandia next summer .looks a good place to visit in summer with a pool and theme park. And good value for money I think, but I’ve not been
We where there when you where for 2 weeks and i actually saw you one night in the iron horse restaurant having food, i noticed the TH-cam link on your t shirt hence the reason this video popped up on my feed . Of all the 4 headline coasters 3 are back or neck breakers , not enjoyable and shambala is the only one that’s actually riding like a coaster should. We actually rode uncharted numerous times as we stayed at hotel gold river and got early entry but no way is it worth even a hour wait , theming on ride is terrible. The park needs so much done for us to return , RMC the stampida , retrack dragon khan , retrack furious break your backo , and add more indoor properly themed attractions. The park has no inverts , multi launch coasters , spinners etc . Its age is showing big time and adding bad operations to that list its a no no , granted we had a disability pass for our daughter so that didn’t affect us but there is zero chance id go near that place in the heat during summer if we didn’t. It’s back to europa park for us next year where i can get on attractions without having a thumping headache afterwards.
Been here 5 days and ready to leave 😅 2 days is enough I think there isn't much to do to last a week how did you manage it! Queue times are hideous and operations are very slow. Had a few express days and last day I think express.
Really enjoying the new vlogs. Long may they continue. How much further do you have to go to get partner status? Subs have increased alot recently, hopefully the new vlogs will help increase them further. I try my best to help with the likes and the comments to appease the algorythm gods 😂
We used express on two days and I made a huge difference. Some were walk on others 10-15 min. But I think it’s likely to be less busy now with all the school back in the UK. Hope you have a great time!
@@coaster_dad ok that’s great I was just going to bite the bullet and get express premium for unlimited rides but don’t want to buy and still got to wait over 40 mins do u think shambsla will be long with express and also I heard uncharted has single rider line is this faster cheers
@@fayefletcher1896 I did Shambhala many times during the week I was there. Queue varied from 20 min to over an hour depending on time of day (definitely quieter in the evening!) and we used express and it was maybe a 10-15 min wait.
@@coaster_dad thanks again that’s much appreciated I’m hoping I can get on uncharted before the park opens eg like 9 am as we get access to it before the park open got fingers crossed
Went there last year i had 3 days worth of passes after 2 days i couldn't be bothered. Its an incredable beautiful park and its got a good line up although not as good as it looks on paper. Most of the coaster are pretty bad for what they are suppose to do Shamballa is the big exception together with red force if you count ferrariland in. That wouldn't be a problem if operations would be ok. As for me its one of my least favorite european major park i have visited and except the Britisch isles i have done everyone of them except walibi rhone alpes. It wouldn't even reach into the top 20 and it schould be around number 5 with good operations.

Absolutely. The park has so much potential. If the rumours of Universal buying it back are true they’d sort out the operations I’m sure. 😀

On my watch later list. Rn on taxi from Manchester airport going home. Went to lanzarote but went to foreventura like 5 years ago 👍
Hope you find it useful. Great park but needs a lot of work during the busy season 🙈
