    Great video, I cannot get over how quiet the car is, as you and driving along and talking to the camera. A good vehicle if you don't have to travel vast distances on a daily basis.

      It doesn't feel like this to me (I've had mine a year). It's extremely comfortably inside. I've had 2 Zoes and the MG has mightily impressed me.

    Hi, I subscribed and follow you because you videos are nicely filmed and you use metrics ;-) units .
    The New MG ZS EV facelifted with 70kWh seem very very good.
    I think your viewers willl like a review and real range Test.

    This has just arrived in Australia. By far the cheapest EV on the market, and it has battery cooling which is important for our climate, unlike the Nissan Leaf.

    • @CompletecarIe
      @CompletecarIe  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      What do the folks in Australia think of it?

      @@CompletecarIe I haven't seen any sales stats for 2021 but there's a stack of Vlogs on youtube on it. Australia is hungry for affordable EVs and this is really the first one that comes close.

    • @Peter-vn8ue

      @@CompletecarIe The most affordable Electic vehicle on our market, I like the darker Regal blue colour, like a mid-blue for our market here in Australia, if I had the money I would buy one but would have to get the front and side windows tinted due to our hot and sunny summers, especially where I live in Australia.
      Unfortunately here in Australia, our Federal government and local governments are anti-electric vehicles and actually want to charge EV owners a tax seeing they will not pay the fuel excise tax as non Electric vehicle owners pay now each time they visit the petrol station to fill up their petrol tank.

    Why aren't the petrol models and MG3 available here as they are in the UK. The petrol ZS has a more modern front

    I don't like the charging point as our gararge is small. No room to plug in when we park the car

    • @CompletecarIe
      @CompletecarIe  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you mean it is in the wrong location for easy plugging in?

  • @nickcrabtree6736
    @nickcrabtree6736 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I viewed this car recently,really liked it. However then found out no phone app for charging. So if like me you charge overnight, then you have no way of controlling when the charge starts.
    The thing is as you mentioned the charging point at the front is a problem, no light, I’m nearly seventy and bending down that far is not as easy as it used to be.
    They obviously noted other comments about this problem as in the new estate version the charging point opens sideways.
    At the end of the day you get what you pay for and this car at this price is a steal.

    • @Porkonfork
      @Porkonfork 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Nick, the charging overnight is best managed through a smart wall socket that allows scheduling charging to your off peak hours, this is what we will be using for our MG ZS EV. cheers

      I've had mine for about a year now. I'm 67 and find it no problem to plug in. Most of the reviewers do this squatting down (one even went on his knees) to plug in. THis one mentioning shining a light. What a bunch. The lack of delay timer charger is inconvenient, but I have a night time tariff through Octopus which starts at 21:30 and I just do it manually, about twice a week.

    • @manwithcorsae7738
      @manwithcorsae7738 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @TheNewblackdog It's no mystery. Because of security concerns (China) and the cost of procuring the system, MG doesn't have a public server in the UK or EU. No server, no app. We're not sure if the UK version has a sim card capable of receiving requests from an app.

      "The thing is as you mentioned the charging point at the front is a problem, no light, I’m nearly seventy and bending down that far is not as easy as it used to be." I'm 67 and whilst I thought it would be a problem (it nearly stopped me buying one) I've found that I can manage quite easily to start a charge. Hopefully they'll take the opportunity in the upcoming refresh to use the same charging flap as the MG5.

    BEST POINT 7 year or 80 k warranty , otherwise it sits in the ev budget suv and you get what you pay for in handling ,ride, depreciation and neighbours who may or may not comment . i wont be going down the full ev experience yet as the charging times and charging availability are not to my liking yet , plus if you live in a flat or have only street parking its far to awkward to keep charging . We like to pop down to a seaside town for a few days 2 to 3 times a year its 116 miles ive logged it. Sometimes theres traffic jams either way ,so i will be lucky if i make it there (who needs that stress)and when i get there our lovely hotel hasnt any charging points available and i dont want to have leave the shiny new suv in a place far away from our hotel for up to 12 hours, no siree

    Interesting car. Managed very well in Norway in 2020. BUT don't forget to mention if the cars you are reviewing do have a heat pump or not. I believe this one hasn't and that effects winter driving a lot!

    It has all the right sorts of features.
    Eeeh...No.
    Laggy infotainment, no DAB+, android auto and apple carplay, only via cable, even though wireless versions has existed for years, has no provisions for wireless charging of a phone and for anyone that has had a car with automatic climate control, aircon seems very 1990's.
    Aircon means endlessly adjusting the temperature knobs, every time a cloud passes over the sun or you go through a tunnel.
    The missing climate control is the absolute dealbreaker for me.

    @9:04 .......... so you need to kneel down outside of the car to plug in should you be under voting age.
    The charging port was designed by a midget (a small one) so don't try to gloss over it like you did.
    Had enough of this twaddle @9:04 so will skip the rest.
