Simple explanation, even if a product is good if it goes in a flooded market it can easily drown out amongst its competitors. Only brands that are already established can make products that will make those new products disappear off the shelves.
@@TheManInBlueFlames Yep, and generally speaking. The only reason a product is unique is because it's not a good idea, hence nobody else is doing it. Generally. There are exceptions to the rule.

how can you value your brand at 5 million, without having seen any profits? You can tell they don't know how to run a business, they should be making products for other brands
Breaking even in a competitive market with significant revenue has a value. In worst case, you can always offer the company to one of the big players. One of them may buyout.
Normally the scalability of the product - So for businesses like Uber, they can in theory roll the software to various countries and capture the market using the brand. Obviously, requires a large amount of cash burning to capture the customers in the first place. Manufacturing /product companies i always find questionable though unless theres some clear IP they can leverage. Otherwise, some people in China can just rip your idea at 70% of the RRP.
Because sometimes if you have developed a product, hold inventory, built infrastructure and have some kind of positive traction then those are all valuable
why? this isn’t a one-sided opportunity. it’s okay to prefer one over another and if anything dilutes their value; if i want in but know she wants John Doe instead, i’ll probably ask for less of the business for a more attractive deal

I’ve been a customer for about 7 months. Incredible product!
Didnt even consider Touker's offer 😮
Why are dragons so obsessed about it needing to be the only one on the market? So many businesses have rivals (if not all) and thrive?!
because, for that valuation, with those profits, you need some sort of edge over everyone else.
or else the are in the delusional space
Fair enough but the market is huge if you present your product or service well

Dragons > Dragons'/Dragon's (depending on whether they are looking for more than one dragon)
Experiance > Experience
Come on guys that's just poor
thier accounts show a loss in 2022 & 2021
Deborah: Take that offer. (Not because it's really good, but because you just said I'm not your first choice.)
The thumbnail is misspelled, its "experience", not "experiance" - and "dragons" should have an apostrophe. "a dragon's experience"
Her accent got stronger and stronger by minute😅😅
I too noticed that 😅
Insane valuation, even the offer Steven made was out of touch... Unsurprisingly, the deal never went through and they are over their ears in debt...

such a boring pitch, talking like they are computers, no personality.

Omg, do the title writers do this on purpose??
yes - to get views and comments
Don't worry. A spelling mistake won't affect your life whatsoever. Mistakes happen. Every human does it.
At this point I'm convinced it's on purpose for engagement bait

i really liked these two-they seem really honest
Any dragon that offers 6 figure investment for 7.5% equity will win all the the investor pitches with no competition
The thumbnail maker isn't very 'experianced' it seems
I would be out on moral grounds. Selling a BS product through fear by ignorant people is not the business I would want to be in.
Dragons should have to lock their offers in… so clear when they make offers they change the % to reflect what another is offered
That’s literally the point?
When you can't even spell the title correctly.
They were a bit lucky in my view.
Products easy to copy and so far yet to make a profit but with a 5 nillion valuation. What an i missing?
your copy editors need more “experiAnce”
if anyone sees this after they fix it, there was a typo in the thumbnail.
At the beginning asking for 2% for a £100k is always gonna be an uphill battle with the dragons.
