Good rating. She is somewhat wider in her compositions I would say and hopefully not that destructive. But they are very alike in their poetry for sure and share the nerve... I'd say but that is only my humble opinion.
I barely slept last night. I got home from work and spotify's random suggestions presented me "Paul". Now I've been listening to everything available from Big Thief and Adrianne and I just can't stop. It's unbelievable. Someone here said that would rate her alongside Eliott Smith... I don't know, may be the excitement of having found such good music in an unexpected way, but I would rate her a little above Eliott. Haven't found an Adrianne song that I don't like yet.
@@aleclynch7356also curious. I think she’s up for the best songwriter of all time. If you break down any one of her songs the vast amount of substance, crevices and folds could fill a sea in so many ways too. Her lyricism but also her way she communicates her life through her “sound” Listing to different albums you can hear who she was then when she wrote it, and those sounds are like treasures, unable to be heard anywhere else And i happen to love who she is. Just received the A Sides / B Sides LP, Buck Meek, and Hours Were the Birds today :) Some of my favorite stuff, and have been enjoying music for over 40 years

Internet not always bad
I’d give my kidney to get to see this session live six years ago
Buck's got such a cool way of playing acoustic. So precise and unique. I love it!
absolute one of a kind. they both are
An extraordinary talent. I rate her alongside Elliott Smith.
Totally agree they both share the same fragile, very personal and relatable quality to their songwriting
Just at the end of song one and was thinking of Elliott the whole time.
Money reminds me of an elliott smith song

Beautiful Compliment, I'm going to let you finish your comment, but Elliott Smith wrote the best albums of all time. Of all time. It's like Na B
Being a relatively recent Big Thief fan, I have to admit it's such fun to dive deep into the rabbit hole.
fuck i've been living almost ten years of musicians life without actually knowing that music could be played this way
love you both Adrianne and Buck

Curious on your thoughts a year later? I would agree that with her combined solo and Big Thief works she’s surpassed him

This version of Jonathan gives me the goosebumps every time.
so good
Wanted to like this comment but it has 69 likes so….😂 but so true such a good version of Jonathan
She is the best songwriter of the last decade. Period.
Adrienne and Buck are the best in the biz in this present moment imo.
So glad to find this...what a wonderful topper to a season in life where discovering amazing talent is like finding a soul mate.
Hey, Universe, thanks a lot for Adrianne and Big Thief. You did good! X
You done good Mrs. Lenker
"you're standing at the end of a story at the foot of a palindrome" hit me like a truck
she has SO many great lines. Kills me.
BUT WHAT DOES IT MEAN

@@XelifI love this analogy
the sheer amount of times i have listened to this
16:40 the switch is just lovely.
I can hardly beat to listen to Johnathan because it's so beautiful but far too short. It needs another couple of verses.
The Golden Repair I know what you mean, it’s just so tender.
Damn it, I can't like this video more than once.
Oh my god. Paul and Indiana are transcendental
she is such a beast on guitar. kerina is mesmerising to watch
Please never take this down. I feel like, for many of us, it brings home and sanity. Cheers. My heart thinks you.
I've watched this video multiple times this week since discovering it. I'm so glad it exists. So much of what Adrianne writes touches me deeply.

Dan Adams agreed! She's a gem, best singer songwriter today

I’m from the Portland area, and stuff like this makes me miss it so much
What I would do to go back to this show!!
kerina is such a beautiful song
It’s one of the most incredible guitar duets I’ve ever heard
i keep coming back to this
Just received the A Sides / B Sides LP, Buck Meek, and Hours Were the Birds today :) Some of my favorite stuff, and have been enjoying music for over 40 years

Well, *this* is a treasure, isn’t it ? Thank you so much, Eric !

Buck Meek fuckin shreds an acoustic, wow..

Dream team.
Damn! I was living in Portland at the time, but they weren't on my radar at all. Missed opportunity!

The harmonies on Indiana are so fantastic ❤
Stunningly beautiful nectar music!
Brilliant talent:)
Thank you
What a beautiful voice! I am enjoying the Lyrics as it reminds me of walking down a dusty dirt road with all sorts of nature about me. Thanks
Bucks a national treasure!❤
This is about as good as it gets. Thank you :)
Heel erg mooi ❤
this is a brilliant show
Love it...
Adriannes so good then and now

If Lenker was around in the 60s 70s she would of been massive.
Gold.

Indiana
A Love of Some Kind sounds like a Damien Rice melody

weird that they were probably married at this point
Seriously?
they were, they divorced in 2018!
The real deal.
Hey she keeps mentioning she is opening for Eric. Does anyone know who that is? On another note good god this set is beautiful!
I don't really know, but I'd guess it's the publisher of this youtube channel.
It's me / this is my channel. plus in the description there's more info.
Thanks for recording this. I've enjoyed it on multiple replays recently.
Same here/ Have been a huge fan of these kids since first hearing them 5 years ago.
