I saw these kids in 2016 when they opened for Matt Ward. They knocked my socks off before they got started. After the show I bought their album and got their autographs. Adrienne Lenker is something else!
big thief is a really good band! they came around my town and tickets were $175! that's way too much! i didnt even pay that much for the cure , the rolling stones or any other band for that matter! i think its a $50 per ticket band! However, its nice to see they got mick fleetwood to play drums for them

Haven’t been to a big or medium name show in ages , so I’ve no idea what they’re asking these days. Funny , I was recalling seeing Sinead O’Connor back in about ‘85 and tickets were 25$ in Seattle. Horrible venue. She performed for no more than 15 minutes. Nobody opened for her. THAT was a ripoff , but I’m fairly certain it wasn’t at all her fault. I wonder what a show such as Aldous Harding is going for ? Of course travel expenses and everything else are hella expensive. Aren’t I chatty this evening …
@@lisacolbert5987this was certainly a resale ticket. People can put their tickets up for whatever price they want. This becomes an issue when shows are sold out, it becomes outrageous. But there’s no chance Big Thief was asking $175 lol
@ Danielle Langman It's really just sooooo incredibly exquisite, isn't it? Upon my 1st listen of it about a week ago, I loved it.💓 So I knew I would have it on obsessive replay after that!🎶🎵🎼😍. It has a familiarity to it...and it reminds me of song I have heard before ...but haven't been able to remember the specific name of it yet. If I recall it, I will try to post it here BC it would be interesting to see if you hear the same similarities in it. I bet you'd love it ...if only I can remember it.🤔🤷🏻

I still am not 💯of which song it is...but I am pretty sure it is by the Birds of Chicago and the song is either "Real Midnight" or "Scattered Leaves" or " Flying Dreams"...or a combo of each. Sometimes I recall a fraction of the chorus or an interesting chord change or a mesmerizing melody and that is the common denominator. Other times, it is the personalized cadence or twang of the vocalist that locks me in to recognizing when another singer comes close to the same vibration. If it ends up that these weren't the songs, I will still try and come back here if I find out which it is for sure. Though I am fairly confident you will like these 3 songs I did send as there will definitely be a familiarity in the vibe for you if you dig " Ruined" as much as I do!😍
