@@Sloppyjoey1 I used to love demi (my taste in music has now changed) and I've always thought she is a strong belter but a very weak riffer. I understand she is inspired by many of her icons that are great riffers (eg Xtina) but she has to understand she is not there and she doesn't have to be. it's so refreshing to see demi's improvement and same with ari. proud of them gyals
How did Brandy aka vocalbible just get a glimpse second! At least more! Her runs/riffs are unmatched!
Because this video was made to highlight white/pop artist. Beyonce was only added to say that wasn't the case, and she's the it black girl. Throw the whole video and commentator in the trash
Great video! Tori, Keke, Jessie, Mariah, Jojo and Brandy's runs are insane! Also thank you so much for watching my video and using some newer clips for Jessie J :)
THANK YOUUUUUU. These are the top riff runners.🤌🏾✨ NOOOOOO body else.
Mariah with her daughters
Ari, Tori and Jojo 💕
JoJo.. Beyonce.. Tori.. Brandy.. 🤩WOW
Mariah... 👁️👄👁️OMG
6:32 literally the voice of a princess
I like the new grading system. It's easy to pay attention to both:)
I love the fact that you used Natalie Weiss for both bad and good run at the beginning. No wonder I see arguements for her being the best vocalist out there ❤️❤️
Celine Dion's run of "helppppp" could murder careers
Bey,Tori and jessie are hands down the queen of runs
Idc if Demi's runs sound bad to some because I think they are quite amazing
Seeing little mix here was perfection,
These girls can sing sing
Seeing red velvet here made me so happy. I rlly hope Wendy improves on her vocal skills and techniques so she can become an even better vocalist
Mariah's lead the way runs be like:
+++ Pitch
+++ prescision
+++ musicality.
Thankfully it didnt showed up it would end everyone career and their runs and riffs.
more like
+++++++Pitch
+++++++Precision
+++++++Musicality

When I Saw You, Whenever You Call & Forever said:
Am I A JOKE TO YOU...???
Literally every song!!!
Demi’s runs always start out 🔥 and then they crash and 🔥 💀
Her runs have always been sloppy and in the wrong moments
@@libertass Actually I give her props for ambition, the runs she attempts are Whitney/Celine style runs that incorporates multiple high chested belts above E5. It sounds like Demi focuses too much on high notes and not quality runs.
Celine, Whitney and Kelly Clarkson are the only mainstream artists I’ve heard able to sustain rapid chesty belts that high.
Especially that "ain't no other man" intro-style run she does every time SO unsuccessfully. She destroys the performances with such runs. Not everyone can pull out anything and one must know their limits.
@@libertass Lol😆🤣🤦🏽
I gotta say, when you talk about runs, you can’t go wrong with Mariah, Brandy, or Keke Wyatt
I'd add Jasmine Sullivan to that list as well
@@LVLiiv I totally agree with this
I'll add Beyoncé to the list
watching this out of curiousity and Wendy from red velvet appearing in this is kinda shocked me. lmaooo thank you for including her in this, i dont know why i am thanking but atleast i saw her on some random videos.
2:45
This guy's having the time of his life
You should make this a series. I'd love to see more tori kelly and Beyoncé runs
That Céline's run in Because You Loved Me performance wasn't that bad. I think it just lacked precision.
It was one of her downgrade moment
@@badbada3003 not at all
MARIAH BREATHS MUSIC. PERIODT!!
I got absolute chills at 4:14 after the "jesus" like omg Tori is an angel
This is ONE EPIC video! Thank you
Also, so happy to see JoJo in this!!
Demi still has a bit of issues with their jaw movements, but those have improved because they've begun to mix, which lightens their tone. And singers with light voices naturally possess a lot of vocal agility. Demi is improving! (their riffs and runs in Dancing with the Devil, the song, are the hardest they’ve ever done in their career, after You Don’t Do It For Me Anymore, and they literally nail the runs live (so far, they haven’t made any major mistakes live this year concerning agility)
She's definitely improving!
@@aintnootherfan Hi! I'm so sorry, I realised I made the same mistake when I just reread my comment... please do use they/them for Demi cuz they identify as non-binary.
@@aintnootherfan i know you just commented to try to be sneaky about misgendering demi🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♂️🏃♀️you are not subtle
@@13gudadod I thought I was the only one that noticed that
@@13gudadod you're right, he did this before. He does not like demi at all
For me it’s Mariah, Tori, Beyonce, and Brandy!!
Also the Naruto shippuden blue bird op music in the background gave me life
2:39 My reaction was literally this emoji 😳 I'm sorry camila
Dinah saved the day though, but 2:49 is hilarious to me as well, I was like why did you feel the need to add that FLAT run there
Riffs are vocal embellishments that communicate emotions from the singer to the hearers. So it should be used just at the right time. Thanks for this.
I love how you make a point to include little mix whenever you make videos based vocal ability!!
Atleast someone can recognize the talent they have ❤
Dinah fucken slayed she is such a queen she is so underrated hope she will be successful one day
@@takemyhand1988 she really is she is incredibly under rated she deserves to be as successful as camila
@@sarahkate5010 oh sorry. I thought you were talking about demi
@@takemyhand1988 oh no it’s all g Demi is very popular Dinah Jane is so talented yet so under rated
Tori’s gospel-esque runs though 😩 Got me doing stank faces all the time
Celine Dion is known for sustaining her notes but she can do riffs & runs. Queen Celine Dion !! 🥰💜
Anyone who understands music understands that musicality is what really makes a star. Being able to make things up on the go and on pitch and in a pattern that makes sense musically and not just a show of strength or talent.
the 3+++ for Tori's precision! PERIOD.
TBH, even if she didn't get a perfect rating, the run I was most excited to hear here was Perrie's. She's never been much of a riffer, so seeing her go all for it was absolutely awesome!
Mariah as the queen of riff and runs
Natalie Weiss is a national treasure
Yeah
Queen Vocalist Mariah Carey! The perks of writing your own material and fitting your voice so no one can sing it other than herself.
Steve Macky and Avery Wilson... Just woaw. No word. I screamed right on the street, can't believe how talented those two are
Many of them are very good and the rest have had their good moments but Mariah is definitely out of this world.
As for the k-pop girl, is kind of unfair considering she’s most likely dancing. She actually did quite well.
Little Mix, Natalie and Morisette were very good, but Celine and Mariah took the cake!
JoJo’s precision is masterful ✨
Mariah Celine Jojo
Jessie J Halle Bailey
Blue Cantrell Brandy
Beyonce Morissette
Don't know the guys but amazing job, wasn't expecting little mix or red velvet but they killed it too
i was kind of surprised when I saw red velvet lmao. but I love that u included them. i also know that in kpop they don’t rly do much runs. or at least I haven’t seen anyone who does it well
