The 2025 Toyota Yaris Cross crossover has become more powerful and technologically advanced.
Toyota has announced an updated model of the 2025 Yaris Cross subcompact SUV for the European market. The crossover's engine range has been expanded with a more powerful hybrid unit, and the interior has a new media system and a dashboard with a larger screen. Toyota will begin accepting orders in some EU countries this month, but prices have not yet been specified.
The Toyota Yaris Cross's existing powertrain based on a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine has been improved with a new electric motor and a reconfigured transmission. The combined output of the engines has increased from 116 to 132 hp and from 141 to 185 Nm. This SUV will accelerate to 100 km/h in 10.7 seconds - half a second faster than the standard modification. At the same time, Toyota will continue to sell the Yaris Cross with the previous 116-horsepower unit - it will be retained for the most affordable trim levels.
The new Toyota Smart Connect media system has an improved voice assistant and can be updated "over the air". Depending on the trim level, it is accompanied by a customizable 7- or 12.3-inch instrument panel and a central display with a diagonal of 9 or 10.5 inches. Among the available options, a digital key and new driver assistants have appeared.
The update in the 2025 Toyota Yaris Cross also affected acoustic comfort. The crossover has increased noise insulation, improved engine mounts, and thicker glass has been installed.
Among the available trim levels of the Yaris Cross, a new Premiere Edition has appeared, which will be the most expensive. In addition to the widest possible list of equipment, it will feature exclusive body colors and interior trim, as well as original 18-inch wheels.
