Great stuff. I bought Addiator, I learned to use slide rule this week, next step is learning abacus, I remember my grandpa in USSR using it, it was small metallic one, so now I'm guessing he simply did addition and subtraction.
I'm always interested to hear stories of people using the abacus. Do you remember if your grandpa's was the Russian 10-bead type or the more familiar 2/5 Chinese or 1/5 - 1/4 Japanese soroban?
I know very little about the abacus, but seeing how to use one to calculate a useful problem in the modern age is pretty interesting. Thanks for sharing as always Joe! :)
