So pumped for the SG comparison. Please wait til you're fully recovered before lifting them! Even then, have the hernia specialist on speed dial. Best wished Joe
I've been watching your TH-cam videos since I bought my first Olivetti Lettera 32 back in 2017 or 2018 I think, and it's my first time commenting here. Thanks to you, I've learned so many things about typewriters and great insight as well. Praying for your complete healing. -- someone random from Japan.
I didn't know about your operation Joe, I'm so glad it went well. You look good. Thanks for putting your valuable energy into making these videos, you're pretty amazing. Wishing you a swift and comfortable recovery. 😊
Welcome to the club, Joe! All I can say is PT, PT, PT, and more PT!!! Start is as soon as allowed. Hang with it, do the homework, and it will pay off big for regaining, confidence, range of motion, and rebuilding functional strength. Wishing you a smooth and complete recovery.
My wife is going in for a new knee replacement. All her friends who have had the surgery say it’s remarkable how quickly they healed. I expect you’ll be doing hand stands in no time! Get well soon, Joe .
Attitude and enthusiasm are the most important parts of recovery from anything. You have that covered very well. I am always looking forward to the next video, and I hope that we get to see you this year. Take care of yourself. There is only one you.
Hi Joe - I wish you all the best in your recovery. I have never left a comment on any of your videos, but I have watched LOTS of them! I really enjoy the relaxed style you have in presenting material and have learned a lot from your channel. I'm a newcomer to the hobby of collecting and repairing typewriters, despite the fact that my first experience with a typewriter was forty years ago when my grandmother gave me one for my birthday - and taught me how to type! I now use them for all of my writing since I got back into it in November when I got my hands on an Olympia SM9 - since then the collection has grown to many interesting machines like the Olivetti Lettera 22 and 32, the Studio 44, and also a Hermes 3000 and Baby (and also a Hermes Ambassador, which feels the size of a V8 engine!). I'm truly loving the experience of doing all my writing on a typewriter, and owe a lot to yourself and your channel for making some of the repair and maintenance tasks seem approachable. Godspeed from a Canadian typist across the pond in London. Webster
I've loved all your TH-cam videos from AlphaSmart to mechanical typewriters. I may have to get a standard and portable typewriter someday. When the time comes, I'll certainly seek your advice. Wishing you a full and speedy recovery.
A new hip would seem to be kind of like getting a new carriage installed! Things work a LOT better when you get rid of all the dented and worn out parts! 😆
when you go to bed, put a pillow under hip and bend like the baby in womb. your body resumed its original posture and pressure-free that help recovery and rebuild
Wishing you a quick, full recovery, Joe. Your tireless passion and ingenuity are great inspiration for all of us.
Thank you!

Hey Joe! Glad your surgery went well. Please, for the love of god, do not lift any standard machines! Take it easy, as we say around here.
