If suppose, the yield strength of strand is 1860 N/mm², The stressing pressure will be always 75% of the strands strength.. means 1860×0.75= 1395 And this 1395 is then divided by the area of piston.. on my site, the area of piston was 37cm², so 1395÷37 becomes 37.7≈38 MPa, that is 380 kg/cm²
